That's when I started calling around for help. Most places I called were quick to ask what was wrong and immediately quote me a fee just to come out. I was considering one of them until I spoke with Meigs. He was awesome. He told me he offers free quotes over the phone, but he didn't just give me a quote. He actually tried to help me troubleshoot the issue right then and there. He spent about 10 minutes on the phone with me, calmly walking me through step-by-step instructions. He suggested there might be another GFCI hidden somewhere else in the house or even in the garage. The garage hadn't even crossed my mind, but it made sense since the restrooms are closer to that side of the house. Since we don't live at the property, I wasn't there at the time to test it. I told him we'd try it when we were back there later in the week. I must've sounded a little flustered because he kindly said, "When you get there, call me if you need me," offering to walk me through everything again if necessary. Sure enough, when we checked the garage, there it was, a GFCI outlet we hadn't noticed before. We reset it, and everything worked like a charm. There was power again in the restrooms downstairs. Thanks to Meigs, he saved me at least $350 of the visit and solved the issue in 10 minutes over the phone. The only difference was that they told me they would spray the gutters because they said it would look better but the wind wasn't cooperating and they rolled them. Which didn't matter because the guy that rolled them was a professional a.k.a David. The owner is Monty and he is a combat vet that will answer his calls. He was very patient with our HOA. The foreman Francisco was super attentive to detail and he made sure that everything was accounted for and clean. Very happy we hired them!

I had interviewed 3 contractors and decided to hire Ahmad after talking to a reference he provided. Ahmad is a very intelligent person and worked extremely hard. He thinks in the shoes of customers when he has to make a hard choice. In my case, we were short of one piece of hard wood and the floor seller said the manufacturer does not the same brand any more, which was unexpected. Ahmad spent quite some time thinking the best strategy, and was able to use a similar type with minimal impact to the outlook of the floor. I am yet to review the work in person but my tenant told me that she could not tell the difference. Everything looks great too. I asked Ahmad a week later to fix a paint issue on another rental property that another handyman was not able to match the color after two attempts. Ahmad did the fix and the work looked great! He also fixed a carpet for this property. it was well done. Per my conversation with Ahmad, he was a civil engineer with a college degree and he worked for the US Army's projects before he moved to the US and do a living as a handyman. I would recommend him to others because he is skillful, thoughtful, and trust worthy.
