On Sunday, 15 minutes after opening, there was already a half hour wait: The locals know what's good!

That steam means syrup is being made!

This is a spring tradition! We try to make the drive at least 2 or 3 times every month while they're open, and then we visit them at the Erie County Fair! You won't regret it! Everything is wonderful and hot! They're friendly and even when it's busy, there's so much to look at that you won't mind the wait. If you go on NY's Maple Weekend, expect LONG LINES. Still worth the wait! I would give them a 10 if this was the Maple Olympics!

If you love maple syrup this is the place to visit. All meals come with unlimited pancakes and there are bottles of real maple syrup made at the sugar shack on the table to use as you please. The pancakes are somewhere between a crepe and a pancake and you start with three. They're good. You can also get eggs, sausage, and ham. The sausage was pretty disappointing honestly. I assumed being out where we were it might be local pork but taste and texture were resembling great value brand bags of sausage patties. The ham slices looked good from a distance and I'd try that next time. The eggs might be local but were a little too close to undercooked when scrambled. Get here early. We got in a few minutes till 8 when they open and they'd already let people in. By the time we left the line was out the door. Cute decor and lots of maple syrup and maple treats to buy inside as well. Only open during maple season.

Worth the wait

All you can eat pancakes and sausage. Maple maple maple. An annual pilgrimage. Don't come expecting to walk right in and sit. The line is normally out the door but moves in an orderly manner. Lots of interesting local items. Make sure to visit the sap room.

If you are willing to make the drive out, you will reap sweet rewards!!! Located in Freedom, NY MMC is open March 1 thru April 15...Prepare to wait, this place is a hot spot, But it is well worth it. The main draw here is the maple syrup that is made right here. Bring the kids...come with friends...just be sure you come...it's worth the drive. Ordered pancakes, eggs, and sausage. Everything was delicious...the maple syrup....I could chug this stuff. It was incredible! The best part? UNLIMITED PANCAKES!!!! Wear your elastic waist pants cuz you're gonna need em! Has great country charm. The service and staff were friendly and attentive. This is definitely a place you need to come to...

I visited Moore's Maple Shack for the first time today. It is a small, country spot in Freedom NY known for its home made maple syrup. My family comes here often and raves about their pancakes. Off the bat, they fill your mug with coffee if you want it. The menu is small, pancakes, French toast and a few sides. I ordered cinnamon French toast with a side of eggs and ham. It was delicious and filling! Service was great. I'll definitely be back again!

You know you're close when your phone goes into SOS mode and you fully commit to pancakes & maple syrup as a survival plan! I learned something new on this visit. We were initially shown to a table, but since only 3 of our 4 party members had arrived, we were asked to return to the lobby until everyone was present. The server assured us that once our fourth arrived, we'd be seated with the next available table, and that's exactly what happened. It gave us a few extra moments to watch pancakes methodically and continuously be poured, flipped and served from the griddle. We had the chance to sit in the original dining room, which features beautiful hand-painted murals. The booth cushions are well worn from years of use, adding to the charm and nostalgia of the space. The room itself felt bright, warm, and inviting. Service from Michelle was prompt and friendly, even with the steady pace of the restaurant. We ordered three AYCE pancake and sausage plates, coffees, a kids' pancake, and a maple milkshake. Pro tip: skip sugar and add maple syrup to your coffee. Trust me! Whether you're visiting with a few family members or bringing a large group, the Maple Tree Inn is a place full of memories, tradition, and perfectly maple-infused breakfasts. Remember to bring along cash or a check since digital payment is not an option. And mark your calendar for next season because they are only open for 2 months each year between February through April, while the sap is flowing. Looking forward to their 65th season next year in 2027!

The creative way you can order your pancakes is limitless. I pluses up my pancakes with Nutella and bananas for $1.99 and that was well worth it! The service was great and friendly . Fast efficient team service model that worked perfectly. This one popped up on my radar and I thought I'm going to go check it out. Located in a home Depot shopping center, it was pretty easy to find. Upon entering the place, it had a very cheery bright atmosphere. I was able to grab myself a table and take a seat. Robin, my server, was there in a heartbeat to grab me some coffee. The coffee itself is very tasty, they have a fairly comprehensive menu, and had plenty of options. One thing I was actually stunned about was the low prices. A breakfast of two eggs, bacon and home fries was only $6.99. I jumped in and ordered a couple upgrades including a pancake on the side and the peameal bacon. Again, this was one of the most amazing meals I've had. I had never experienced this type of bacon before, and now I am absolutely hooked. Everything overall was cooked perfectly. Seasoned excellently and I can't say enough nice things about this place. Service was on point, food and atmosphere was all there. Bottom line? I will definitely be hitting this place again, and you should too. I was told that it gets pretty busy and sometimes can be a line out the door so get there early, or just be prepared to hang out for a while.

They have the usuals and some other unusual items that sound terrific. I had the granny"meal which was delicious . One thing I noticed, the eggs were cooked perfectly. The omelet was tasty and tender. . My husband really enjoyed the steak omelet. Next time, I'm getting what the next table had - these taco shaped dough thingies with cream cheese inside and strawberries on top. Oh My. Neighbor at the table said they were amazing . My plan is to take one for the team and get them. I'm afraid I'll like them way too much. This restaurant I was very busy both times. Good sign. So, If you go at prime breakfast and lunch times there may be a little wait. Well worth it.

Campfire Grill is our number 1 Favorite Breakfast place in Western New York…read more We arrived at about 11:00 AM Tuesday morning, and we're very pleased to be seated right away. We traveled a very far distance to enjoy Campfire Grill, and often the line for tables goes out the door. Today I ordered one of the specialty breakfasts, the Breakfast Flatbread which is two eggs, hollandaise, bacon, spinach, and Roma tomatoes over a crispy flatbread. I'm going to go out on a limb say this is now my most favorite breakfast. This dish comes with a choice of campfire potatoes or fresh fruit cup. Today I ordered the fresh fruit cup, and it was very delicious. Fresh grapes, pineapple, and melons. I would order this again. My husband ordered the cattle melt. This has to be seen to be believed. It's a mountain of a breakfast sandwich. Loaded high with sliced roast beef, two eggs, melted cheese, mushrooms, peppers and onions all stacked up on a grilled thick cut sourdough bread. It was so huge, that he had to bring half of it home in a box. He thoroughly enjoyed this melt sandwich. Finally, we also ordered the Griddle Toast Logs because, frankly this is the real reason we come to Campfire Grill. French toast slices rolled around a core of fresh, strawberries, and sweet and cream cheese, grilled crisp, and covered with more whipped cream and fresh berries. Truth be told, we could not even dive into them until we got home because we were so full with our entrées.. But they didn't last more than a few minutes after we returned home. The decor is reminiscent of our days of family camping trips, which always featured over the top breakfast, and very indulgent campfire menus. Posters on the walls included, moose, fish, bears. Really takes us back to our childhood vacations in the woods.

It's definitely got a polished casual, wine bar sort of vibe to it so you can pretty much dress however you want. It's not the normal sort of place you'd go to for breakfast necessarily, but it was open and my friends swore by it. My kids got hot chocolates and the adults all got Irish coffees. The hot chocolates were decadent and delicious without being scorching hot. PERFECT for the kids! My friends loved their Irish coffees as their typical go-to. I like my coffee a bit on the sweeter/creamier side and this wasn't really it with a bit of that coffee bitterness still coming through that was a bit of a turnoff for me. That's just me and my personal taste though, so take it with a grain of salt. My kids shared a French toast with blueberries (no kids menu available, it seems) and it was HUGE. They will usually pound an adult portion of anything between the two of them and even this was too much. There were 2 extra thick slices to start and there was easily a half slice left, enough to fill a small to-go box up pretty solid. I got the burrito which came topped with salsa (ranchero) and cheddar cheese plus a side of shredded hash browns. The hash browns were half crispy and half limp but still quite tasty. The burrito itself was a good size though not enormous. While nothing mind blowing, especially for the $19 price tag, it was a solid meal overall. One of my friends got the lobster eggs benedict special and said it was life-changing. It was $24 and came with a massive hunk of lobster meat. For a $3 charge over the standard benedict, that's a steal and smartly priced for a good heaping of lobster. Getting the food out seemed to take a little bit of time, but the server was good about checking in on us throughout and the other staff we spoke to were also very friendly. Overall, a solid experience. Definitely paying a little bit extra for the ambience and ski resort town, but I'd still come back to check out the lunch and dinner offerings for sure!
