Once in a while I'll see my neighbors in line, I'll stop and exchange pleasantries. There is a young man behind the counter, he's always smiling and makes everyone feel welcome. This location is an authorized FedEx, UPS and DHL dealer. They have the shipping portion covered, let's talk about Island Packaging! If you need to ship something and don't have the proper packing materials, Island Packaging & Shipping has all the supplies needed to get your items to your chosen destination. Consider Island Packaging & Shipping during the holiday season. I hate going to the post office, I'd much rather come here with my hot coffee, see my neighbors and bootskoot.

I didn't choose this place, I was sending a purchase to a customer who chose this method of shipping. If you can use USPS to ship, you should. I never write reviews but Owen was so incredibly unprofessional I had to let it be known.

I can't get these boxes by going by supermarkets, I need real boxes that have never been used. It's not me, it's my stuff - none of my things like to be anywhere where food, livestock or various sundries have been first. I have ordered from U-line in the past, but their shipping is outrageous, almost as much as the whole order. I did a little Google search and found suppliesformoving.com. At the time of the order, I had no idea they were in Brooklyn. The site is clean and all the information is readily accessible. One can guarantee that this website did not cost a lot of money, but it works. One of the best things about this company is that they have pre-prepared packages of boxes, tape, etc. divided by room and/or rooms which makes it a little easier. They have boxes for junk, boxes for tvs, boxes for lamps - are you following me here? They have supplies for moving - tape, blankets, plastic wrap, paper. So I go online and make my order (FREE shipping by the way on everything!) and expect it to come in a couple days according to the site. After the confirmation of sale is where it gets good. 30 minutes pass and I get a call from the company saying they can deliver today, the same day, in the late afternoon. OK. One hour later I get another call that they can deliver right now. Yes please. Approximately three hours after I ordered many, many boxes, they arrived in perfect shape. Having no idea this company was in Brooklyn, I guess I should consider myself lucky. The customer service was fantastic and the boxes have been working just fine. I called the day before we needed to move it, and got lucky that they had a cancelation and could squeeze us in with 1 days notice. The unit was heavy and awkward and had to go down some steep stairs into a basement. The movers handled the job professionally and got the machine into the basement with no damage to the machine, the house, or themselves. That was quite an accomplishment!!! If I had one concern about All My Sons it's their failure to clearly communicate pricing and liability limitations. I was told that their minimum charge is 2 hours. It's actually 2 hours plus travel time. And, I wasn't told that their liability limitation is 60 cents per pound. That would have come out to $240 for a $1500 appliance -- definitely not enough to replace the appliance if something had happened. I might not have hired All My Sons if I'd seen this. We got lucky.

Now in 2026, I sought him out again and was happy to see his firm has grown significantly since my first experience six years ago. The pandemic years really did warp time! Even after all this time, Aron was quick to respond and connected me with Jacob. Jacob has been fast, communicative, and accommodating. I'm happy to report the firm remains just as committed to a superior moving experience. Jacob walked me through every scenario and potential challenge for our upcoming move and provided an excellent price. Moving in NYC is rarely stress-free, even with meticulous planning, but I'm feeling confident. The move is coming up soon--I will update this review then, but fingers crossed for another smooth experience! Update from move day (UES to UES) : we had to reschedule our original move date due to unforeseen circumstances. I reached out to Up and Go on the morning of the move and Luka got back to me at 6 AM. I was so relieved he gave me a new date and time (and charged me a reasonable reschedule fee) and the crew showed up on the new date and time and were exceptional. Shout out to sr. Bojan, Jr. Bojan and Lala. Really the speediest moving team. All in all I am so happy with our moving experience, they really are Up and Go!

What happened over the next week and a half was discouraging. I told them that I had a very restricted schedule (because I am a teacher). I cannot leave classes just because I have movers coming over. We tried to find a time, but it was hard. Eventually I asked my boss for a favor so I could get a time that would work. He let me out of a faculty meeting. This was a big favor. I worked hard to meet these movers halfway! But then on the day of the move, the movers called to say "Hey, we're done early today. Can we come to your place now?" It was TWO HOURS BEFORE THE AGREED TIME! I had to teach my class! What the hell? Who do these people think they are? I should leave work two hours earlier than OUR AGREED TIME just because it was MORE CONVENIENT FOR THE MOVERS? I tried to reach the dispatcher, Judy. I called her twice, but she didn't pick up. She claimed that she called me twice, but my phone said she hadn't. My phone ALWAYS picks up the missed calls. Her movers were certainly able to reach me via the same number. Judy said that she COULDN'T SEND THE MOVERS AT THE AGREED TIME BECAUSE SHE "DIDN'T WANT THEM WAITING AROUND FOR TWO HOURS." She said that over EMAIL. WHY ARE HER SCHEDULING ISSUES MY PROBLEM? It is not my problem! A DEAL IS A DEALl! I CALLED IN A FAVOR FROM MY BOSS SO I COULD BE THERE AT A TIME CONVENIENT FOR THE MOVERS, AND THEN THEY DON'T SHOW UP??? Too bad, favor wasted, because YOUR MOVE MOVERS DIDN'T WANT TO DO THEIR JOBS. When I talked to Judy on the phone, to her credit, she apologized tepidly. But she also said that nothing could be done about it. She made it seem like SHE was doing ME a favor by agreeing for such a late move time (4pm to 5pm). "Movers start early. The work hard and they finish early." She said she worked really hard to find a time for me, she really did me a favor. Great, that would have been nice IF THEY HAD SHOWN UP. You said 4-5PM, BE THERE AT 4-5PM! AND DON'T ACT LIKE YOU ARE _DOING_ME_A_FAVOR_BY_DOING_YOUR_JOB! Who do these people think they are? I cancelled my order. I will not be using them. I will be using someone else. This is flabbergasting, unacceptable. I can't hand over money to people who do such a miserable job with their customer service. Use someone else, someone who actually cares about their customers. Judy lost my sale, and broke a promise just because she can't schedule properly and because she didn't want to have her movers "sitting around for two hours" because she didn't have anything scheduled for them. Maybe she saved money by doing that, but she made me a furious fucking customer. I will make sure none of my friends ever use this service. Nice job, guys.

Also they are a reasonably priced, small, local business, and this shows through in my interactions with the owner and his employees, which is a very good thing. I could not ask for a better experience! I am reviewing them now, before an upcoming move, because I am a jerk who promised them a great review after my last move and forgot to do it.

It was difficult to secure a 1 way this time of year from Cambridge to midwest. U-Haul dispatch in MA confirmed everything the Monday before pickup. Truck in excellent condition. Drove it 2 days west and will drop it next week at another location. We did see 2 big bugs in truck interior but were able to kill these before loading items. I know there are reviews talking about rodents in the storage location here. I am guessing this truck was moved to Cambridge for my 1 way since dispatch was working on my reservation. None sounds good, and several can kill you. ... Foodborne disease is transmitted through saliva, urine, and droppings. In the course of one day's food rummaging, a rat can unload 50 half-inch droppings. I understand you are not responsible for what happened to my belongings, due to the rodent problem.However, my storage unit was infested by rats, rat fences and destruction of my personal property. i.e. my polo jacket, khakis pants, comforter and my suitcase. Due the high probability of transmitting a deadly disease carried by rodent, I was forced to discard my belongings!!! These items were destroyed by rats eating, nesting and probably reproducing inside my storage unit # 366 located at your Uhaul location in Cambridge,MA 844 Main Street. 02139 I complained about my unit having been overturned by rodents, back in October 2017. But nothing really happened. I understand that unfortunately, there is a huge homeless, disenfranchised people that occupy your area. I was threatened by one of your ex-customers that , had a storage unit next to mine, a year ago. They started asking me for money, then the man became aggressive and threatened me! I called 911, a Cambridge, Massachusetts police officer arrived. When I told the officer what happened, they lied and changed their version of events. The officer, let them go with a warning. And I quickly left your Uhaul location and headed home! Another time, I came to your location early on a Sunday morning, I was stuck outside your Cambridge Uhaul location because your after hours access card would not work!!!!! A caucasian man with a seringe dangling out of his arm, stumbled down the sidewalk towards me. He asked me for money, I noticed he had dried up blood on his arm, I told him I didn't have any money and ran away! I contacted your Uhaul customer service number, and explained, I was being charged an extra $5 for after hours access, and still couldn't get inside!!! And I also believe some of them also rent storage units and probably store food items in those storage items, in your Cambridge,MA location. I am not blaming you for the staff at this particular U-lHaul l ocationor what happened to me me or the serious rodents problem in your location. But, my belongings should have been safe and not destroyed by disease carrying rodents!! I have spent in excess of $2,000.00 during the 2 1/2 years of being your customer. I am sorry, I had to terminate my business with Uhaul. But between the rodents destroying and contaminating my entire storage unit, also I am purchasing a home in March, and I am now storing in a friend's home, here in Brookline, MA. I considered leaving some of my personal items in my storage unit, in your Cambridge Uhaul location. Because I could not salvage those because they were too contaminated with rodent excrement and the possible spread of dangerous pathogens and disease! But, after I saw the extent of rodent damage , rat excrement all over my clothing, linens, luggage and basically the infestation and contamination of the entire unit, I decided to end my storage occupancy at this location.
