We loved this place beside in n out for burger. However this place is downhill jerking abusive. We came in over past weekend for late lunch around 2pm. We ordered: - bbq burger (love it) - mushroom burger (seriously where is the mushroom?) I have to bring back and ask if this is a mushroom burger, yeah that stingy.... - kid meal that came with chips and etc - oreo shake - shareable fries The worst came when our order is ready. It took them 30 minutes, ok since i love the olace i can tolarate it. The person just hand us our order into 4 different trays, i was like sweet and ready to eat. By the time we went back to our seat, i noticed that it was missing some orders which was the chips that came with the kid menu and the shakes. I went back to them ans nicely asked if the order were missing some which was chip and shake. Guess what he responded to me??? What chip and shake with an "attitude". I showed him the receipt and look at this. He didnt appologize and just hand me the chip, and i said what about the shake, and he tried to look for it even asked other workers. Dude seriously if you hate your job and cannot do customer service, just quit and dont give attitude to your customer. Thank you for the experience, i will take my business else where. read more

You gotta love custom made burgers! Came here for lunch on a weekday and was just impressed by all the options! You can go healthy and pick the veggie or turkey patties or go for the certified angus beef. Even the buns are customizable as you can select between potato, multi-grain or even gluten-free buns. So delicious! Picking from the menu of choices, I went with the build-your-own turkey burger with multigrain wheat bun, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, raw onions and grilled onions. An excellent choice! The shredded lettuce, tomatoes, and multi-grain bread was fresh and healthy tasting. The deep fried onions were light and were nicely crisp. The turkey patty tasted good enough for me not to miss the taste of beef! The french fries were so good! They had a good balance of salt and were well cooked and browned. We came here late one night for a quick juicy burger. The bf and I shared the double diablo and made it a combo that came with shareable fries and the little moo shake. The whole combo cost a whopping $15. That is definitely restaurant price but this place is more of a order and seat yourself kind of place. The diablo was juicy and very tender. It didn't have much flavor but that was ok, I dunked it in ketchup. The fries weren't very memorable. I usually love fries, but the fries just didn't taste that great to me. And then we got the mint chocolate chip shake which had small tidbits of chip inside which was to die for. The shake was creamy and thick and very milky. So most experiences here have been good! So it hurts me to write this! It's weird that with 3 burgers ordered, and a large "family share" size fries. We get one tiny cup of dipping sauce. When my daughters asked for extra, the employee looks at another employee, like they needed a translation! Then he said "it's fine give them one." So for all that food we got, we have 2 tiny cups of dipping sauce! Food was good, would have been better with more sauce! Is that what they train employees to do here!? I did get the Build Your Own though: 1/2 lb, bleu cheese, pickles, mooyah sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, on a potato bun. It was really messy but really good. Tje meat does taste good....its kind of like Five Guys' patties in the sense it can fall apart, but tastes really fresh. The menu seems to direct you toward the 1/4 lb. burger, but for a hungry person, you know that's not enough. You want some meat. There is no 1/3 lb. patty listed on the build your own so just pick the Mooyah and you'll get the 1/3 lb patty. It doesn't really matter if you order the cheeseburger or if you order the Mooyah and add cheese, it's the same price, $1 extra for cheese. $1 Extras: Bacon Avocado Chili (They do not have fried egg option) All Other Toppings... ARE FREE! Whatever burger you get, you can pile on the toppings, even if it's a pre-themed, pre-set burger on their menu. Get the large fries for $5 and you get this Trumpian HUUUUUGE baking sheet full of fries, enough to easily split between 4-6 people. Do like I did and get half regular, half sweet potato fries at no extra cost. The offer some other options too... lettuce wrap burger, turkey patty, black bean veggie patty, and an all beef hot dog. There's a salad, kids items, and 10 milkshake flavors to choose from. I'm glad they expanded from Texas to California. When you get that awesome feeling you would go...BOOYAH! Well, here's MOOYAH! with an exclamation of excitement. I've never had their burgers and salads before until my boss invited me here for lunch break. On my first visit I wanted to tryout their standard "Mooyah Cheese Burger". Between the baked potato buns is lettuce, tomato, and melted American cheese. The angus beef was tasty to my satisfaction and the Mooyah sauce adds a zesty flavor to it. Outside of the burgers, I've been hooked on to their "Loaded House Salad" ($5.99). To me it's not an ordinary fresh green salad. Since I don't like avocados as much, having them within the mix gives the salad a buttery taste, which is good. I do like the smoked bacon bits and fried onion strings for added tastiness. For an additional cost of $3 I would add breaded chicken tenders for protein. My flavor of choice to enhance my salad is the creamy spicy ranch sauce, its like buttermilk with personality. Just like the name it's definitely loaded and sometimes I would carry out leftovers. You can customized and build your own burger. What stood out to me there, is the protein style option to cut the carbs, so buns intended. On my lunch breaks from work the cashiers have been friendly. It tasted really good, and I didn't find that it still lacked flavor after all the toppings, like I feel at Five Guys. What really stood out to me were the chili cheese fries. They tasted better than the burger honestly. I ordered my food to go and when I sat down to eat there was chili all over the bottom of the bag. It's another one of those "gourmet fast-food burger" places just like Smash Burger et al. In fact the setup of the restaurant, down to the design of the counter and dining area, looked almost exactly like the Smash Burger a mile or so away in Irvine. The burger came with unlimited toppings which included lettuce tomato, pickles, mushrooms, onions, plus at least a dozen or more other goodies. You can also select a wide variety of sauces like their Mooyah sauce, ketchup, mustard, BBQ sauce, A1, etc. Cheese does cost additional though. The burger patty was good quality and it was grilled to perfection with a sizzle in the taste and in the aroma. The unlimited topping was also quite generous and the ingredients were fresh. The bun was advertised as freshly baked in-house, and it was nice and soft - in fact too soft to hold a burger. The moisture from the toppings and the grease from the burger quickly made the bun soggy and it literally crumbled into pieces. It lacked the firm grip that a burger bun should provide. The regular fries were good and were served very hot and fresh from the fryer. The sweet potato fries, however, were a bit dry and not as tasty. It's another one of those burgers that cost almost twice as much as a Habit Burger or one from In N Out, but are not really that impressive. I would say this is a bit upscale version of In N Out, feel less like you are eating fast food. The order set up is just following the trend, get in line, order, sit and get your food or they will bring your food to your table. Menu is simple, they have a few selection of burgers including vegetarian options, only two types of fries, many different toppings and sauces to choose from, and quite a lot of milk shake flavors. I got their Mooya sauce on the side, it was just the same thousand island dressing as In N Out's but I noticed this is less saltier, less acidic, but creamier and milkier. The fresh cut potato fries were cut too think so they were more like baked potato wedges, and too filling. The best was sweet potato fries, they cut them pretty thin and fried them perfectly, so they were light and crispy! I also got Reese's PB cup shake and oreo shake both without whipped cream or cherry, they were also less sweeter than In N Out shakes, fresher taste and texture-not very gummy. I loved the big chunks of crushed cookies and PB cup candies inside. I liked their wheat bun, pretty soft, patty tasted fresh and not salty, sautéed mushroom was tasty, but not so generous with avocado portion. I had no sauce inside but all ingredients were juicy enough and seasoned perfect without any added condiments. I think I will get a mixture of a few cheese choices, crispy onion rings topping with black bean patty burger next time, and a different flavor of the milk shake. I like this place, definitely cleaner taste than In N Out (I still love In N Out tho, I just crave them from time to time), less bloated after. Nice and clean interior, simple menu and good service. MOOYAH! This national burger chain has opened its first location in Southern California in Alton Square (a strip mall on the corner of Jeffrey and Alton). I dropped in on their opening day. The interior is long with over a dozen tables inside and a few patio tables outside. The kitchen is open so you can see everything that is made. You order at the register when you first walk in and they call out your name and number when your order is ready to pick up (or they often deliver it to your table depending on how busy it is). You can make your own burger and choose the toppings you want or just order it "mooyah style" - American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, grilled onions and mooyah sauce. You also choose which fresh bun you want. I ordered a single burger "mooyah style" on white bun with a small order of fries and a chocolate shake. My food was ready in 3 or 4 minutes. I immediately noticed my burger was on wheat rather than white. My receipt said wheat so the young woman at the register heard me wrong or input it incorrectly. Either way, it wasn't a deal breaker especially considering it was their first day. The burger was a thin but juicy patty that was obviously fresh and never frozen. In fact everything tasted fresh - from the crisp lettuce and juicy tomato slice to the "did they just bake this?" bun. The fries were cut from potatoes on site and were on the thicker side. They were hot and not greasy but, unfortunately, mercilessly over salted. I used a napkin to brush some of the salt off. The chocolate shake had great flavor and wasn't so thick that you couldn't suck it through the straw. It was, perhaps, slightly more runny than I prefer but it was undoubtedly made from real ice cream. A 3.5 rating on opening day from me is a positive sign and I'll certainly be back.
