I've only ever done the pick up orders but I believe they do walk ins on Saturdays. Pick up orders are super easy. Menu comes out early in the week. You fill in a Google form with what you would like as well as your preferred Friday or Saturday pick up time and send it through. You pay online a few days later and then do your pick up. The menu changes every week so there are always new things to try. I've had the popovers, cookies, bread, calzones, pies, soups, and everything is gluten-free and everything is amazing! I also love that MOR partners with other local business like Anodyne and Tots on the Street. So great to see the awesome partnership. I'm back almost weekly and will continue! read more

After MANY recommendations to check out this new spot, I was finally in the neighborhood so I just could not pass it up! For someone who has a few dietary restrictions, and tries to avoid gluten, Mor is the place to be. Their tagline is literally "redefining gluten free," and dang does that ring true. I love the location; the old (but updated) warehouse on 1st street. The atmosphere is rustic and offers great vibes for a bakery/cafe. Right away I was greeted by the kindest of employees who talked me through the many menu options. From teas, baked goods and chili, they have an array of yummy options, all gluten free and many also free of other common avoidances (i.e. egg and dairy). I ordered myself a coconut milk latte and certainly couldn't pass up a bakery item, so I went for the vegan nutty bar. It didn't take long for me to finish because it was as delicious as it sounds. The cafe itself is a good size, offering plenty of spaces to sit and hang out. I enjoyed my treats while posting up on my laptop to get some work done. This place is a gem for all kinds of yummy baked goods. At this time, they are operating via pre-orders, and you can find the week's offerings on Sunday evening via their social media presence. My S.O. Is very fond of their popovers. A couple of times we have ordered their pizza dough, and more recently we ordered their vegan pumpkin bread (delicious), muffins, and spinach calzones. Orders need to be placed by Tuesday evening of the week for Friday or Saturday pickup. Check them out! GF and vegan options - yay! read more

Detour I read about this bakery opening and decided to check it out. First off, I was hesitant because I hate the whole 1st Street bridge construction detour. Let me tell you, it's not a big deal and well worth the extra 15 seconds. I sampled a few of the offerings - banana bread and one of the bars. Both had excellent flavor. You can tell that a lot of effort was put into coming up with product that's GF yet still yummy. I ended up purchasing a few brownies and grandma bars. Service was quick and friendly. I'm not a coffee drinker but they have a nice selection of drinks and Anodyne coffee. If you've tried one of the other GF bakeries in town and were as disappointed as I was by their offerings you will be so delighted with MOR. I will definitely be back. read more

Yes! Please! My first experience with the gf life was a packaged bagel from a grocery store. It made me wonder if my life would be eating gruel like Matrix food. Started googling GF Mke and was pleasantly surprised to discover Mor- I must admit my first and only order (a week ago) I got crazy and blew up my budget...but no regrets The shortbread cookies are delicious, the brownie was fudge delight (although I prefer more of a cakey) but hey it's still delicious Haven't tried the coffee cake yet but I'm sure it's going to be delicious read more

I had such high hopes (and sure, expectations), after seeing MOR previewed in Wisco Foodie. I am a staunch advocate for local over chains and want the little guy to succeed. MOR has the location just right. Perfectly designed and sighted on the lot, the windows and expansive porch are inviting and suited for the long range growth this block will experience. Said simply, it's a cool locale and a cool place. Any business at this prime spot is primed for success. Now the less than stellar parts: the experience of a quick grab and go of hopefully delectable delights was a miss. At 7am in the morning, I'd expect prompt, organized if not maybe a little frenetic level of service. What I was greeted with was an odd dance between three staff members, none knowing quite who was going to do what. It shouldn't take 5 minutes to figure out how to ring up three pieces of bakery. But it did. Perhaps less forgivable is the one-two knockout miss of a nearly $5 diminutive piece of cheesecake bar and same priced carrot cake cupcake that were both ho hum. For these prices, I expect a mouth watering experience. I was unfortunately underwhelmed. The highlight, beyond the well done interior and exterior presentation, was the reasonably priced and well executed brownie. Moist, chocolatey goodness. Without this high point, I'd probably not consider a repeat visit. I'm sure I'll stop back in a few months to see what's transpired. Maybe an off day on my stop. It's hard to imagine the concept not thriving in such a future proofed location. I'm hopeful and eager for MOR In the future. read more

I tried several items from this bakery and unfortunately they all came up short. The blueberry muffins, coffee cake and other pastries were undercooked with doughy texture. Also there was a bitter after taste...not sure what ingredient is doing that. At the farmers market tried some more savory items but they too disappointed, just not enough flavor. The seeded crisps were nice, but a little soft. Could have been the humidity. Personally I find the store box mixes taste better and are more affordable. This bakery's prices are way too high for a less than mediocre product. read more

What a wonderful bakery! Whether or not you are gluten free or vegan you can most certainly find a treat here to enjoy. I am not gluten free and I could not believe how much I adored what I've had here. In particular here are my favorites: PEANUT BUTTER BARS, Lavender Cookies, Banana chocolate chunk bread, PEANUT BUTTER BARS, spice cookies, and the plum torte. Did I mention the PEANUT BUTTER BARS? I have brought treats in to the office, catered them in for work lunches, taken them on trips and each and every time they were devoured! The coffee is delicious Anondyne coffee (I love the local connection) and it's a full coffee bar so order up your pour overs, lattes, and cappuccinos while you stare out at the river (and soon to be open bridge!). 5/5 for sure. This is the best gluten free cafe in Milwaukee and hence the baked goods don't taste very good. However, the coffee is great, it's a sunny friendly location with free WiFi so if you need to have a cup of coffee with a friend with Celiac Disease, then this is your one and only choice. They also have vegan baked...I'm not sure I like the word, goods, after these adjectives, but again, if you want to have a cup of coffee with a vegan friend, this is a very good choice. If you're a fat guy and need a place to have some coffee and not be tempted by tasty fattening wheat flour pastries, this is also a very good choice. For someone who has a lot of dietary restrictions like I do, this place is heaven!! They have a dedicated gluten free kitchen, which is hard to find. A lot of items are also Vegan. They will give a breakdown of what ingredients are in each item they prepare. The coconut ginger soup (v) is fire. Every baked good I've tried is also delicious. I don't know how it's possible to make something without gluten, eggs and dairy and have it taste so good. I've enjoyed the carrot cake, banana bread, brownie and cookies. Chocolate chip Banana bread and brownie have been my favs tho. It's a great morning or afternoon spot. Plenty of room to have some time to yourself on a lunch break or to chat for hours with a friend. Outside of light bites, they also have an array of Anodyne Coffee and Rishi Tea options. This place is dangerous to have in the building where you work. It's too easy to just come down and get a nice tasty treat. The service is usually prompt but I have not ordered any beverages from them as of yet. Their gluten free selection is wide. They have rich pastries, drier baked goods as well as bread. They also have yummy soups and salads. This is a great breakfast/lunch cafe. It isn't a full-service restaurant. There is usually plenty of parking and the cafe is easy to get to. The staff are kind and knowledgeable, and the big windows give the place great lighting. The prices are also notable. Usually gluten free baked goods are pretty expensive, but their prices are very inexpensive. (Think $3.50 for a dozen small cookies). Wow stellar place for those seeking specialty bakery due to food allergies. Items are cleverly identifiable with their components. Delicious breakfast entrees, along with great soups, shareable sweets makes this our weekly go to for coffee and conversation. My daughter in law has a gluten allergy so she anxiously awaited their opening. We have become regulars to try to work our way through the sweet ever changing items. This week featured Almost Elvis banana cake with peanut butter icing and chocolate. Cookies, scones, cinnamon rolls, and special seasonal items are still waiting for us to savor. One of my close friends is has a gluten allergy and our goal lately when we hang out is try new gluten-free restaurants or bakeries. This was both of our favorites so far! I hurried into MOR one day on my way into the adjacent Lincoln Warehouse, a little frazzled. I ordered coffee and a couple enticing Lingonberry Almond pastries to go.
