Visited to do a fingerprint scan, notarized documents and mail it off for a possible employment. I am also pregnant and sick and started to feel faint while I was there. I almost fell and broke out in a sweat. The workers there rushed to my aid. They made sure I had a place to sit, a cool towel, and something to drink. They checked on me and offered for me to stay until I felt better. I felt fine within minutes (I think it had to do with low blood sugar). It was super embarrassing but the workers there were awesome. Once I felt better I got everything done that I needed to. I could not thank the workers there enough for ensuring my well being and kindness. Also if you use their services you get a discount on products in their store. I got a cute gift for my daughter and they had a ton of nice gifts/cards. I highly recommend and will be a returning customer. read more

The staff at More Than a Mailbox is very helpful and knowledgeable. It's convenient, too, as it's near Intel and the Prairie City Rd Safeway. They can run just about any print job or graphics job imaginable, and you can send things via all the major carriers, including the U.S. Postal Service. I send some of my mail Certified, and since this place is a USPS substation, I can get it done there instead of the main Post Office on Riley St. I had lived here for several years before I became aware of More Than a Mailbox, even though I had driven past it many times, because the logo sign on the wall facing Willard Drive isn't very readable. (They really need a better logo. Readability counts!) I actually found them through Yelp. Anyway, I'm very glad I found them. This one's a keeper. read more

I needed to get LiveScan fingerprinting and this place was recommended. The employees were very warm and friendly. I've been a box holder for a year now and could not be happier with the service. Every time I need something shipped they are on it. I get options and prices. When my mail comes to my box I get an email notification. Their business is with it! The name of the place is a little long! Do I spend anytime in there retail floor? No. Not really things I need. But guess what? it is their choice to sell what they sell and it's the consumers choice to buy- you can't fault someone on that and then be mean about it. They must be doing something correct when a lot of other places in Folsom are shutting up shop! Justin S, can you blame them for giving you some personal advise about the USPS? The owners, Kim and Dave are absolutely fabulous! They have trained their team to always provide excellent customer service and good knowledge of all the services they provide. I use them on a regular basis for our office needs as well as personal needs. They are "more than a mailbox" creating signs, routing slips, buttons and more for us at reasonable prices. A month ago I ran into a jam needing program fans designed and assembled for a wedding, ASAP. As you can tell by my reviews, I very rarely write any. There is only a dozen or so companies that I frequent consistently because I find their products and services worthwhile - Consumer Reports, Costco, Trader Joe's, Honda, Sonos, Apple, Ooma, ZojiRushi, Stanley, REI, Zappos, and Patagonia. Mostly because I hate shopping and hate shopping around for products and services even more! I prefer to have a lifelong relationship with reliable, consistent, competitively priced, service oriented organizations and am a fan of Buy It For Life products and the corresponding service excellence. I have used More Than a Mailbox for shipping, fingerprint and notary services on different days at different times and each and every time they have been expedient, courteous and friendly. Relative to their competitors in this space i.e. FedEx/Kinko's, UPS, Staples and several other mom and pop shops of this type that have recently gone out of business, their customer service was relatively quick, efficient and the prices were reasonable for the services rendered. The place is small relative to the larger competitors, but don't be deceived by the lack of space, they have a wide array of services including document scanning, textbook buyback, large format printing, artwork shipping, etc. I plan on using all of these additional services in the near future. I'm looking forward to doing business with them again real soon and I will update this review as needed and as I use the additional services. read more

I have been to this store on tow separate occasions. The first was to have some documents notarized. While I was there I looked around at all the cool nick knacks. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I went back recently to have gifts made for my graduating seniors. I teach at a local high school and wanted to get the kids something small and fun. I ordered candy bars with customized wrappers. They turned out great! Our school colors are blue and gold. The bars were printed gold for the girls and blue for the boys to match their graduation gowns each with their names on the bar. My students loved them! Two cried when they received the candy. I absolutely love this store. Have been coming here for a few years now. They have done my fingerprints on 3 different occasions for nursing school and the ca board of nursing. Had great experiences each time! The staff is always friendly and very helpful. They offer shipping to both USPS and FedEx and I can completely trust them to pack my items up and ship them in the appropriate box, never had damage when received. They also have tons of cute stuff in their store like cards, mugs, small gifts, etc. As for those bad reviews of this store, I think people need to understand that this store can get very busy (even with 3 people working) and finger printing takes a lot of time. Get over it if it takes too long or if you fill out your forms incorrectly. The responses from the store are absolutely fabulous too very professional and informative (good info about DOJ and fingerprinting), but also explains the facts. I've stopped in here on several different occasions over the past year.....it's always the same.....a cluttered mess...but yesterday (11-21-14) was the last time I will visit the store not because of the clutter but because of the way the manager/owner was talking to one of his employees. I just had a nice lunch and wanted to leave it on the floor after listening to this guy berate his employee.....it was embarrassing and uncomfortable even being in the store as this was happening wide open in public view of all to hear and see. Zero stars. NO customer service!! Livescan processing here really is such an incredible WASTE OF TIME & Waste of $$. After 2 FAILED ATTEMPTS due to their fault they REFUSED TO REFUND FEE PAID!! SAVE YOURSELF THE $,TROUBLE/time.... 1st time spent 1 1/2 hours trying to get this done. It was summer and they didn't have AC on. Encountered the rude heavyset woman, bad attitude, then the older guy processed fingerprints was SO SLOW and long story short he did a BAD JOB on the fingerprinting and DOJ wouldn't approve them & made us return to do it again. 2nd trip to get this done, fingerprints went through after I relentlessly wiping my hands in their hot box no AC store, BUT THE old guy PUT IN THE WRONG BIRTHDATE, without having me verify info..... so AGAIN- NO GO. This was totally inconvenient and NO SERVICE WAS PROVIDED, even after 2 failed attempts & their written acknowledgment of their screw up they refused to refund fee. Had to go to A DIFFERENT PLACE for PROFessional service & no problems so SAVE YOURSELF and if in and around FOLSOM - at all costs AVOID More than a mailbox (cuz that's all they can handle is rented mailboxes) AND JUST - GO to the UPS store on Bidwell instead (was done so quick & passed DOJ 1st time with great customer service & these days it REALLY COUNTS!!!) read more

I cannot say enough good things about David and More Than A Mailbox on Prairie City. After my father passed away a few months ago I had a large collection of one-of-a-kind, original art work and pottery that my mother (who passed away 20 years ago) had made that I was sending to my Aunt in Idaho. There had to have been at least 30 pieces of pottery, lamps, vases and three paintings. The employee (I don't know her name) helped me carry everything in from my car and then brought David out to talk about the big pile of items. After hearing about how these items were valuable, both financially and sentimentally, David suggested a pallet shipping to make sure the items wouldn't be damaged or jostled. I agreed. After David packaged everything he sent me an e-mail with a photo of the finished pallet and tracking information. He also e-mailed me as the shipment went on it's journey. My Aunt received the pallet on time and raved about the packing job. Not one item was broken or damaged in any way!
