Their warranty on work done was another key factor. An electrician found a dead rat and droppings in the attic, so I needed clean up and rodent proofing. In the crawl space, a bunch of the ducts were unattached by wear and tear and plumbing work that had been done in the past (which I didn't know. No wonder my gas bill was so high over the winter!). Shannon and team cleaned everything up, sanitized, reattached the ducts and rodent proofed the whole house on the outside. Apparently the attic was vulnerable, as prior owners' foam had been chewed through in the eaves. After they were done they set traps which will be checked every few weeks. I will update if there are any further rodents but I am confident in the work by the company and team. I highly recommend this family owned company.

The guy who came out was on time, a bit eccentric and very passionate about rats. He was detail oriented and did a great job explaining the job and its breakdown. Unfortunately on the day of the job, we had 4 guys come to our home on time- but none of them spoke English. Now, I appreciate them coming out, but we just could not communicate and they did not have work trucks or shirts with their company name. An hour later, we had a younger guy show up and he spoke English. The crew worked really fast, did a nasty job of removing our rodent infested insulation and put in new insulation, they mixed concrete and patched up some holes as well and put out rat traps. They came back twice to check the traps and removed them. I think they did a good job, appreciate their punctuality. But management should always send someone who speaks some English and provide a company truck or at least shirts. I personally felt uncomfortable letting into my home a group of random men with no identification.

It is a large square footage single story on a very large lot in Tracy, so we had been seeing our fair share of spiders, earwigs--the usual suspects. We were previously with a different pest control company in town at our prior home, and while they did a good job, their rates year over year would consistently rise to the point where it wasn't feasible. I found Pro Active Pest Control on Yelp and immediately noticed their exceptional rating with lots of reviews. When calling, I spoke with Raymond who walked me through their services and was able to quote me right over the phone. Their pricing was extremely competitive and Raymond had me scheduled for service within the next day. The technicians arrived within the timeframe they said they would and gave a courtesy call that they were 20 minutes out. They were cordial, took the time to review the property and a few spider "hot spots" and immediately got to work. If I had one minor gripe, it was that we anticipated to have our interior treated as well on this initial service visit; but it wasn't communicated that we (pets and humans) would need to be out of the house for about ~2 hours after the interior service was completed in order for them to do it. That unfortunately didn't make sense for us that day, but they said to just call them at any point to schedule the interior treatment when it made for sense for our schedule. All in all, very accommodating, great price, and while we're only 24 hours in, I have yet to see any critters that we were getting pretty frequently around the property, so I feel great about becoming a Pro Active customer! We have a crawlspace in our house that needed some TLC. Sure it provides a way to route air ducts…read moreand water pipes along with raising the house on pillars. However, crawlspaces can get moldy and wet from lack of care. If you ever encounter rodents, there is a good chance they came via the crawlspace. After all, we do hear noises at night at times, which is creepy. Jacob visited and gave a comprehensive review and estimate. We basically went for a full package of rodent control, cleaning, and installing a new vapor shield to keep it dry. The while job took maybe 2.5 days with a crew of 3 workers each day. Outstanding quality work. First phase was sealing up the homes around the house and crawlspace, and laying traps. The attic was inspected too. This was followed up with weekly followups to ensure no more rodents. This scope was subcontracted to Golden State Critter Control. Highly recommend working with Greg. The next two phases involve cleaning and eventually reinstallation of the vapor shield. Compared to what we had before, it was day and night! I also appreciated the crew alerting me to a leaky drain pipe. I later worked with a plumber to replace a cracked 3"D drain pipe that connected upstairs to downstairs. It was fixed in about 3 hours with two plumbers. Definitely recommend Crawlspace Clean for rodent control and crawlspace cleaning. 5 stars.

The cleaners were very careful to keep the area around the workspace very clean and safe. Working below the foundation cleared debris and then sterilized the area. Then removing rat contamination and feces from the attic and the existing contaminated insulation. All questions were answered on the spot and any concerns were taken care of immediately. Even a missed closet was taken care of the next day. The cleaning and sterilization was done in 5 days. Due to the size of the home and the time to clean and replace the insulation.
