But through a series of referrals, I finally got to Black Diamond Auto Wrecking, who were recommended by a local Portland wrecking yard. Black Diamond had the window for my particular car, and the price, including $60 to ship it, was around $136. I ordered it in the late afternoon on a Monday and I had it by Wednesday evening. I believe I spoke with Mike and he was polite and efficient. The service was generally excellent and I greatly appreciate their help. The only drawback was reaching them. Sometimes I had to call them several times to get to a live person. There were times that no one answered the phone. There were other times when the phone went to a message machine that could, at times, get you into an endless loop. At other times, the message machine would put you on hold briefly until someone answered. It was kind of inconsistent and something I'd suggest the company improve. Otherwise, they were great and the window they sold me, now installed, is working perfectly.

We did our due diligence in our research before contacting anybody 3. We know our financial situation and credit scores so there were no surprises 4. We refused to settle for anything less than our expectations 5. Josh Reynolds - our salesman 6. Pricing listed within Fair Market Value rather than MSRP 7. Carfax emailed to us by Josh the night before our appointment We located this particular car online. When we called the dealership to verify if the car was still on the lot we were told "yes". We scheduled an appointment with Josh for 9:00am the next day. Upon our arrival, the car had already been pulled up to the front and ready for us to take out and test drive. Each of us provided a photo copy of our driver's license and in return we were given one hour to take the car for a test drive. We were both thrilled to test drive without a rep in the car with us so that we could talk comfortably among-st ourselves as well as dissect the car in private. Within 45 minutes of our test drive, we knew we would be taking this car off their hands. Since the pricing was fair, negotiations were not necessary. While filling out paperwork, we were offered complimentary beverages and snacks. Several banking institutions are available to guarantee the lowest % rates. The whole car transaction was completed in less than 2 hours (45 minutes were test driving). Additional warranties were offered but not pushed when we declined them. The car was detailed and filled with gas while we were filling out our paperwork. The license will be mailed to us so that we do not have to drive all the way back to the dealership (1 hour drive for us). We stole a 2013 Acura TL Advanced package with less than 12k miles and still under factory warranty. Thank you Josh for your time and honesty. If you think "out the door price" means the total cost you will pay for your vehicle, Smart Motorz…read moreis not for you. We had agreed on an out the door price and I wrote my check. I was extremely disappointed to hear a month later that I owed a balance, putting my actual cost above a price that I had refused. The issue was that the estimate for registration/title/plates etc. was listed on my purchase order as $100 when the cost was actually $260. Fine, you got me Smart Motorz, I should have known that $100 was an impossibly low estimate for registration in WA and not trusted you to be honest with me at all. My bad, I has assumed you were like all other dealers that manage to get within $25 and usually give you a few bucks back when the plates come in so their customers do not feel cheated. I called the state and looked into it. Having my address and knowing that it would have taken two of these cars to go above the base weight fee, there was only one fee that was not fixed and needed to be estimated, the $18.29 RTA Excise Tax. This means $240.50 in fixed fees is the minimum possible fee. Breakdown attached. A $100 estimate is in no way possible or reasonable. Nobody told me Smart Motorz could be shady and/or incompetent that ther estimate of fees they deal eith every day could be 150% off just so that it appeared as if I woud pay the agreed price. Now I know. I asked why the estimate was so far off when picking up may plates, and was told the estimate was "random" and they blamed the state. No effort to make things right or even acknowledge that their fabricated "random" lowball estimate cost me money. To me, a deal is a deal. Whether it was gross incompetence or deliberate use of an unrealistic estimate, Smart Motorz does not deserve your business. They will certainly not get any more of mine. I'm sure there is a catch to the "free oil change" but I'm not going to waste my time finding out.

I waivered for weeks before committing to purchase. Zacc was very knowledgeable and explained everything step by step. He made the entire process quick and easy. He made sure that he showed me cars within my budget that fit the needs of my family. He even continued to put in work after I made my purchase. About a week after purchase, I got a call from him stating that he found a lender offering a lower interest rate and was able to lower my monthly payments. Usually when you buy a vehicle, that's it. Zacc was intentional about checking back in and making sure that I was enjoying the vehicle. Taking that extra step made this entire experience even more memorable. Our Experience With Dinsmore Auto Group-…read more Holly & Andrew Ball 2020 Jeep Sahara- We purchased a 2020 Jeep Sahara from Dinsmore Auto Group on 3/28/2025, and unfortunately, our experience has been deeply disappointing from the very beginning. We strongly recommend that anyone considering a purchase from this dealership take the time to read customer reviews carefully. What we experienced aligns with many of the unfortunate concerns already shared by others. Same pattern of behavior . We also attempted to address these issues directly with their upper management by emailing the General Manager Austin Dinsmore. That message received no response on any concerns we had with the process from start to finish. Which speaks volumes about the dealership's approach to customer concerns and post‑sale accountability. Our in‑person interactions with staff reflected the same pattern: dismissive communication, a lack of basic customer service, and no willingness to engage in respectful, solution‑oriented dialogue. Outside of Jesse in the service department all other interaction had from sales, finance department and direct service manager was aggressive and lacked basic customer service standards. Key Issues We Encountered- 1.Major mechanical failure within 48 hours of purchase. The Jeep developed a significant engine issue almost immediately, despite being driven for less than four total hours since purchase. Dual head gasket replacement upper oil pan reseal. Auxiliary and main battery replacement. 2.Dismissive communication. Our concerns were treated as an inconvenience rather than a legitimate safety and reliability issue. There was no acknowledgment of how this situation impacted our family. Or options to roll back the loan to put a customer in a reliable, safe vehicle. Not once did anyone individual raise any concerns on our behalf. Would we have been okay with a different vehicle? Would we have been willing to pay more for a more reliable vehicle with no underline mechanical issues which caused the vehicle to significantly depreciate. 3.Lack of transparency about repairs. The initial repair was completed without any explanation of what failed, what was repaired before being signed off on by the customer, or whether OEM parts were used. They treated the vehicle as though it was held hostage and still theirs. 4.No post‑repair guidance. After a dual head‑gasket replacement--a major engine repair--no one provided follow‑up instructions or information about what to expect. 5 A second repair was needed due to poor attention to detail. The vehicle threw new codes within 24 hours of being returned to us, requiring another service appointment. They were specifically asked to not do any repairs until we were informed and signed off on them. They ignored this request and made so called repairs. 6.Inconsistent and inaccurate communication. Different staff members gave conflicting information throughout the process. 7.Attempt to limit our consumer rights. When we raised concerns in writing, the dealership asked us to sign a "Goodwill Service" agreement that would have limited their liability and restricted our rights under Washington State's Implied Warranty of Merchantability. This felt less like support and more like an attempt to silence legitimate concerns. This was done after the fact. When the vehicle was retrieved on the so called second repair. And backed dated to the initial mechanical failure less then 48 hours after the purchase. 8. When the customer's refused to sign this last minute attempt to silence them under significant distress. We were told no further repairs or concerns would be addressed on their behalf . Mind you they back their so called repairs with a 12,000 mile 12 month policy which they could not provide us with or clearly articulate where that was at . Or simply put that in writing on the " GOODWILL AGREEMENT " which they wish for us to sign with no recourse. We hope our experience sheds some light for future customers.
