Eating here is a true Moroccan experience. The tea is made with sugar and fresh mint leaves - it's a MUST have. The owners are extremely friendly and talented at cooking and baking and their dessert selection is AMAZING. they have Nutella cheesecake, baklava, chocolate mousse, and delicious cakes. As for the entrees, I absolutely love the lamb tajin with prunes and almonds. It is served in a delicious gravy like sauce with rice. Also I recommend the hummus here. It's different than the creamy one, with the chick peas not blended- amazing flavor. The bread it comes with is so delicious too. I moved and I'm writing this review because I miss it so much. The owner used to be a friendly and outgoing person. I don't know WTH happened to her, but she should be riding a broom around the restaurant. Very unfriendly attitude! This was not directed only at me, I could see and hear her interaction with other customers, and it was the same. I finished dinner and resolved never to darken her door again. Dinner at a restaurant is nor just a matter of ingesting palatable food. A customer should be welcomed. We reserved a table for 8 but apparently she didn't like that we had kids so they gave us a ton of attitude and caused a scene in front of several other customers. The best restaurant in San Antonio! So far, everytime we come to San Antonio we have to pass by! Typical Moroccan food, with a great taste! Omg! Really good! From lamb tajine to chicken kebab to chicken pastilla!!! Can't even tell which is the best! Planning on trying them all! Taste: I was kind of Disappointed because I hear soo much about this place and I've always wanted to come here. Don't get me wrong the food isn't bad but it is definitely hyped up because this place has been on food network and stuff. The serving size for the meat is also small for how much you pay. I'd still recommend this place but reign in your expectations because the restaurant is a little over hyped. Price: The amount of meat they give you is not enough for the price you pay. Morrocan by decor yes, authentic hmmmm debatable. We didn't find this four star worth so only three stars from us. Hummus was very strange, more like DIY hummus cause they give you boiled spiced chickpeas, never ever had hummus this style. Also this is the first time that we had to order the bread separately to eat with the hummus, didn't know you are supposed to eat hummus on its own. Chicken tagine is very average and the chicken and veggies are not even cooked in the tagine, it's more SERVED in a tagine. Chicken lacked the flavors. Overall think it's more hyped cause it was featured on food network. Nothing that one has to drive out of your way to eat here. read more

I stopped by Moroccan Bites on a recent trip to San Antonio and I enjoyed the food. As someone who used to study in Morocco, I tend to be very critical of restaurants claiming to serve Moroccan food when all they have is kebabs and rice like every other Middle Eastern restaurant. I only had to taste their bastilla to know that Moroccan Bites was legit. Bastilla is my favorite dish...like ever. It's a chicken pie (or pigeon sometimes in Morocco) that is sweet, savory and bursting with flavor. Any Moroccan restaurant worth their salt must have bastilla on the menu. The one at Moroccan Bites did not disappoint. It was exactly what I wanted. Their chicken tagine with vegetables was good, not the best I've ever had but good enough. The vegetables needed to be more tender especially the potatoes. I've had to cook my own tagine for the past couple years (since for some reason Houston has a dearth of Moroccan restaurants) so I'll pretty much take any tagine I didn't have to cook. Their bread was delicious and perfect for dunking in the tagine. I do have a few points of contention. The first is that they only serve couscous on weekends. I get it couscous with all the meat and vegetables is labor intensive, but to not even have plain couscous for a side order? To instead offer rice with tagine? Blasphemy. I also didn't like that they were missing one of the most famous tagines which is tagine with chicken and olives with preserved lemons. That made me sad. Finally, the service was not very attentive...at least to me. It was rushed and kind of abrupt, although it did seem better for the other diners. No big deal, it wasn't rude and the food is good so I would go back. read more

This is truly as good as it gets! The food is overwhelmingly delicious - and I have a Moroccan grandmother and mother so I'm no stranger to amazing Moroccan cooking. Excellent, attentive and friendly service. The prices are more than fair and portions are almost too big for just one person; however, it is Texas after all, and I understand that people expect a single portion that will feed a family of four. Yum! The great reviews did not exaggerate, this place was delicious! We shared a medium pot of mint tea (scrumptious)! My husband had fish tangine, I had chicken pastilla, and we shared Moroccan hummus (seasoned whole chick peas) and a pickled appetizer. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and fabulous! I enjoyed what I had but wish I would have had something else. If there were pictures it would have helped. My plate was mostly rice, the salad was surprisingly really good though. I wanted something really flavorful and exciting that would blow my socks off and this didn't really do it for me. If I would have known more about other dishes, or have been guided I would have been more happy I think. Married to a Moroccan for 15+ years, having been to Morocco a few times, owning my own restaurant, I consider myself a professional Moroccan food eater. My Moroccan and I saw this place on a Food Network recently and said we've GOT to make it down there, since there is a lack of any Moroccan restaurants in Austin (minus an incredible mobile eatery "Flying Carpet" off Gibson & South Congress that will BLOW YOUR MIND). So, we trekked down, after seeing our incredible daughter off to college in San Marcos. It's Ramadan, my Moroccan has a medical condition which will not allow him to fast, so, we had to eat in front of the starving, good Muslims (we felt guilty). Yeah, we had to wait for a table, because over 1/2 the restaurant was reserved for anyone who was fasting (no reservations needed), it was very special for the owners to do that, we loved it and waited very patiently and happily. Once we got a table, we had to order a plethora of food (must try lot's to be sure it's quality/authenticity). It came out in Moroccan time, which heightened the experience. Listen carefully, these kitchen Goddesses make a great effort to make you feel like you walked into their home. If you get your food in less than 30 minutes, that is considered too fast (unless you just broke fast). In Morocco, meal time is a time to visit with family. It's not a hurry up and chow, I'm going to miss my show or this is so boring kind of event. You take your time, tell stories, gossip, relax and enjoy life's ultimate rewards, friends and family. So, they be sure to do just that. They where out of B'stilla (aka Pastilla), I was very disappointed as I think my B'stilla is the best (as every Moroccan Grandmother or Wife will say the same of theirs) so I had to try it : (. So, we tried the Chicken Bites instead (savory chicken stuffed inside puffed phylo dough), INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!! I wish I would have ordered another. Of coarse we had to try the Harirra (you typically break fast with this incredible tomato based soup), it was great. Different from what I've had in the past, but still great. Meanwhile, the fast has been broken, the restaurant is completely filled with hungry Muslims breaking their fast with Harirra, Lots of Water and tea. Soon after, a large handful steps over to the "Marrakesh" room, slip off their shoes and they all begin to pray. It was just beautiful. Our hearts where filling over! We then ordered a Lamb Tagine and every meat dish they had on the menu (I'm not kidding). The Lamb was tender and flavorful, the but veggies surrounding it lacked. Kefta (to die for, full of flavor, yum), Lamb Kabob (my favorite), Chicken Kabob (Karim's favorite kabob) and then we ordered the Merguez Sandwich (I hope Karim's cardiologist isn't reading this), this was knock your sox off delish! They make the Merguez on premise and the relish they add to the sandwich was absolute yum!!! We had two sides, the carrot's and the eggplant (Zalouk). The carrots where so good, I barely left my hubby any. I've had better Zalouk, but theirs was worth trying. I was surprised they left the skins on the eggplant, first time I've seen that. They make their own Moroccan bread as well, which was good, on the lighter side, but still great. On top of the counters, they have platters full of various cookies, which is typical to see when you go into a Moroccan Bakery or some homes. So, after about 2 hours of letting everything digest, we then topped off the meal with a plate full of their cookies (we ordered one cookie off each platter) with a pot of Moroccan Tea (perfection). They were out of Napoleons (mille-feuille), otherwise we would have ordered that too. One of the cookies we ordered was the shebakia and the selous (sp?) was just phenomenal and extremely authentic. I was taken back to my mother in laws kitchen. Super fresh, super incredible, super authentic. Ok, so, overall, this place is an absolute do not miss culinary experience for all. Alan found this place on Yelp and we had dinner tonight. It's a surprisingly large restaurant w/ a central dining room and on either end private dining rooms, the Marrakesh Room and the Agadir Room. The Marrakesh Room looked to be set up for a gathering and had "Reserved" signs up. The decor is lovely, w/ beautifully colored pillars setting off the rooms. The restaurant has been open 3 years. We were directed to a table and given menus We ordered an eggplant spread to start w/ bread to go w/ it. Our charming waitress explained that it was not like babganoush, that it was smooth and flavorful, but different. We ordered mint tea to drink. No alcohol is served. In spirit the restaurant reminded us of Zaki Kabob House, a favorite of ours at home. I ordered the meat combination w/ lamb, chicken, kofte, rice and a side. I chose spiced carrots, beets and lettuce. Alan ordered a fish pastilla but they were out, so he had a fish tajine. Normally they don't have that available Sunday night but they had a large order this morning,so they had it. The eggplant was delicious and we pretty much finished it and the bread. The chicken, lamb and kofte were moist and flavorful, the kofte w/ a little bit of heat. The rice was delicious and the spiced carrots, beets and lettuce were unfamiliar to me and flavorful. I liked them a lot and was glad I ordered them. Alan's fish tajine was a very generous portion and was excellent, he reported. I didn't taste it because I had more than enough food. He did too. He couldn't finish it. We very much enjoyed our dinner and the entire dining experience. If we lived here we'd be back. read more

She also told of the story of when Guy Fieri (Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives) visited her restaurant and how fun that experience was. The food is delicious and it is not made until you order it. What a beautiful restaurant in a dreadfully depressing shopping center! I was greeted by the owners cheerful daughter who regaled us of all the goings on with shooting triple D with Guy. Her mother is the chef/owner and she does not speak any English so her sister stepped in for the filming. Back to my lunch...I was torn between the chicken kebab & the lamb kebab sandwich. I settled on the Lamb kebab what a marvelous mixture of tender meat spicy and flavorful on a wonderfully crusty french bread roll. It was wonderful and filling. I visited this place as a tourist. My mom lives down the street and we knew this place had been visited by Guy Fieri in the past. After my mother told me that the food was awful here and not to go, I immediately set forth on my journey that day for lunch with my family. I'm defiant, what can I say? We were leery about the lamb, but after our really cool waitress said that we would like it, we tried a skewer. It was good. The chicken skewer blew me away though. We also had the beef barley soup and it was so good I would have eaten it out of a sweaty jock strap if I had to. Yeah, THAT good. Same goes for the mint tea and the rice. All in all this earns a 5 star rating because it was authentic and unique, the prices were good, and the staff was hella cool. I went back two more times during my trip just for dessert take out. Moroccan Bites was a recommended to me by Yelp and the great Food Network foodie, Guy Fieri. The establishment was not too difficult to find, but I was glad to have read another Yelper's review that let me know it DOESN'T face the street. Once we entered, I felt as though I had stepped into a portal and was no longer in Texas... or even the US. It is very nicely decorated. They even have multiple areas for family gatherings or parties that were laid out in a very comfortable, classy way. My husband and I ordered the coffee... which is a magnificent, but very much an acquired taste. If you like trying new things and exploring different cultures, I would highly recommend it. Next, comes the main dish. I ordered the lamb. Most plates come with a VERY large portion of beautiful, golden saffron rice. It was buttery and fluffy and became my newest food obsession. The rice paired with the juicy, falling-off-the-bone lamb is really something to experience. The lamb is beautifully seasoned and is cooked in a very thick broth. They bought me an extra little cup of broth to pour over my rice, if I had wanted... and I did want. They had read my mind. A separate note on the rice since I have a small obsession with the stuff... its just heaven on earth. Non-rice eaters tend to appreciate this rice as well as rice fanatics as myself. The waitress recommended that we squeeze lemon juice on the rice. My thoughts: DO IT its delicious! Lastly, the staff at Moroccan Bites was fantastic! I had the pleasure of eating at Moroccan Bites last night, and I will absolutely be back for more. I was informed last night that they're knocking the wall out next door and expanding in a few weeks -- good sign that their business is booming. You may want to call before you go to make sure you're not in the construction week. At first, I was extremely put off by the amount of meat on the menu. I'm a vegetarian, and had almost resigned to ordering a few of the sides to make my meal (the lentils and beans are cooked in an onion broth and were, in retrospect, gently simmered in pure win.) I asked our server about what they could do vegetarian, and she said that they would happily do a vegetarian tagine. The last time I had a vegetarian tagine, I attempted to make it myself, and the tofu fell apart and was really just a bad experience. Their tagine was delicious... full of carrots, olives, potatoes, and spices. Their bread is incredible, their soup was fantastic, and their lentils were game-changing. I proceeded to stuff myself with exotic spices and flavors. My friends mentioned that the homemade sausages were the best they had ever had. When we asked, the server emphasized that *everything* is made in house. THEY MAKE THEIR OWN BAKING SODA for their bread for Halal reasons. Absolutely everything in this place is made from scratch, so vegetarians can be sure they're actually eating well as the servers and kitchen staff know exactly what's going in their dishes. We had dessert -- and the flan was flan-flipping-tastic. I kid you not when I say that next time I have a party, I'd order a few of those things whole. I also had a bite of coconut cake which was good, but not life changing. I was early to a meeting and stumbled upon this place. The place was pretty full, so I decided to sit rather than search for another place to eat. It was definitely a hit. This is another one of those no-bullshit establishments where their showcase is the food. Sure, they have an area sectioned off for reserved seating, but the rest of the place is just an eatery and a good one, to boot! The lamb tagine was really good. I really enjoy a good lamb shank, and when I took my first look at the dish, I was surprised to see dates. Initially, I wasn't fond of the idea of having sweet lamb. I set my differences and preferences aside and took the dish for what it was. By the last bite, I wanted to go on a gluttonous rage and get the entire lamb on the table! There is one secret that was passed on to me by one of the waitresses. They have specials for the weekend that aren't listed on the menu. Driven by the language school in Lackland, the restaurant has opted to have off menu dishes for traveling foreign military members who want a taste of home. Don't worry, it's not an exclusive thing... they'd much rather save on costs from reprinting menus. this place is AMAZING!!! while in san antonio for work, i was looking for some good moroccan food and found Moroccan Bites. I cannot express how wonderful this place is. It is a family run restaurant who makes you feel like part of the family. Wafa and her mother, Al-Hajja, exemplify true moroccan hospitality and kindness. the restaurant is intimate, seats maybe 30 people. Its busy regardless of what time you go, lunch or dinner, but not to where you have to wait. the food is yummy. as a moroccan who has grown up eating moroccan food and cooks it at home, eating here was like eating at an aunts house. portions were good, food was fresh and hot, Wafa & Al-Hajja actually see you as a person and not an "order". i had to get lunch for 15 employees at a company function. i called the night before and they had couscous and moroccan salad ready for me by noon. my employees never had couscous or moroccan food before and loved it!! Don't be thrown off by the empty parking lot nearby. This place is a treasure. The staff is amazing. The food is authentic. This is definitely an amazing find. I ordered the meat combo which features lamb two ways and chicken with saffron flavored rice. It's just amazing. The ground up lamb is incredible. It's almost like a little lamb meatball. It's a great plate to share if you're not too hungry and you're with one other person. They give you tons and tons of rice so don't be sad if you can't finish all of it. In terms of appetizers? I had the eggplant. Very very interesting taste. The waitress told me that the second bite is better and that I would get past the bitterness of the first bite. I actually thought it tasted good. The texture is slimy, almost as if it has been pickled. I added some salt to it and really enjoyed the way the eggplant tasted. It's rubbed with Moroccan spices. Hummus and eggplant accompanied by mint tea started our evening here. Just wonderful! The flavor profile is absolutely unique! We shared chicken pastilla, lamb shank, and mixed kebab. The saffron rice was tasty. The meat dishes were seasoned perfectly. I would prefer naan khush, but the bread was nice enough. We finished the meal with baklava, both walnut and pistachio...just lovely. The decor is pleasant, the place is quite clean. The service was efficient. Like one reviewer said; walking in here it's like being out of the country. I love it, the owners kids going back to the kitchen the woman in garb cooking behind the grill, all muttering a middle eastern language. Though you might not know what they are saying, they understand hospitality. Something else is stressed here- family & the importance of a family meal. The menu & the restaurant are designed with families or groups in mind, creating special seating & family style platters. If you come here & you want distinctly morrocan food, try a tangine. It's the Moroccon equivalent of a curry. Tagine is a very long slow cooked dish, traditionally cooked in a clay pot with thick developed flavors; similar to Indian & Thai curries but with distinct flavors.Important to note there is NO alcohol served, nothing. Also, the meat is halal. If my time in the middle east serves me right, those are both related to tradition & faith. When remember my traditional Morrocan hummus that I had shared with my family it & had stewed garbanzo beans, so when this was served to me as my hummus, I was not surprised. Morrocan hummus can sometimes translate into stewed garbanzo with peppers & onions in a rich spices, very tasty. I ordered the lamb kefta tagine (lamb meatballs) it was served in a clay pot with a thick developed sauce and a beautiful poached egg, all sopped up in rich middle eastern flavor. This was wonderful, what wasn't so wonderful but still good & hence not my perfect 5 rating was the rice, the bread & the vegetable tangine. Both the rice & bread a bit too dry and the vegetable tagine was lacking the depth & time needed to really have the developed flavors of a perfect tagine. It had a nice lemony flavor & the vegetables them self were cooked nicely but halfway cutting into vegetable & it had lost the flavor. I am very happy that this restaurant is here, as I can now escape to the pleasant reminders of beautifully rich Morrocan cuisine & enter the kitchen of some authentic skills. Feeling adventures one day, the bf & I decided to try out a cuisine none of us have ever had. None of us have ever tried Moroccan food before and Moroccan Bite being our first time, we were both completely surprised how much we appreciate it. We started off with mint tea, so light, sweet and uniquely minty. We loved the way they pour the tea, my boyfriend tried to mimic how they do it and it was so silly. I ordered the day's special (forgot the name), and my bf ordered lamb. When our dishes came out, we devour it, including the delicious rice that came with. Both of ours meat were not dry at all, my bf's lamb dish fell off the bone and so delicious. I also got baklava to go and omg it was SO good. Better than any baklava I have ever tried. Gambled on this restaurant for New Years Eve and boy did it pay off. I had the lamb shank with dates and almonds which was fabulous. I nearly put down my knife because the meat was so tender and coming off the bone so easily. We ended the meal with some desserts which were again very good. I didn't try their baklava, but one of their desserts was very similar and tasted very much like the baklavas I've had from good Arabic shops. The mint tea is so good I bought two of their jars of tea after we finished. We also sampled the Arabic coffee. It's strong but a little too much bean sediment for my taste. Service was really cozy. A very good Moroccan place on Evers in the strip mall across from one of my favorite dive Indian places (Pavani Express). One our first visit and subsequent visits noticed the super friendly service and one can tell that this is a family restaurant and the people really want to take care of you.....sometimes very slowly...but they are very receptive to questions and making sure you get stuff to eat. The first visit we tried the hummus (warning : this is not the pureed stuff, but whole chickpeas in a tomato broth gently warming with ginger and cinnamon), roasted eggplant, pickles and lentil soup. All the dishes were very well made and were homey in a good way. The next trip we tried the harrira (a fabulous combination of lentils fragrant with ginger, garlic, cinnamon and finished with fresh cilantro to add a herby touch) vegetable soup (beautifully spiced with a nice hit of mint and coriander) served with a fabulous semolina bread that is a perfect way to soak up the broth, kefta kebab (finely ground lamb, parsley, onion, mint) served on a very simple rice and a small well dressed salad. The kefta was cooked through yet juicy and very tasty. The rice was not OMG worthy but it was not bad. Overall a very good meal. I noticed the tagines looked very good and they also do mechoui on Friday and Saturday (which is a ridiculously good roast goat! The whole goat is rubbed with a paste of ginger, garlic and onion with turmeric, paprika and roasted cumin and slow cooked....craazy good!) which I have not tried in this place but will be there once I can get adventurous eaters rounded up! read more

This is the first middle eastern place I've found since I moved to San Antonio, so needless to say, I was very excited! Morrocan Bites is located deep within San Antonio, and can be easily missed. When I walked in, I immediately loved the atmosphere. Soft lighting surrounds the restaurant, with the wonderful aroma of grilled meat, and bread. Since I came in on my own, I decided to go with the to-go menu, and ordered the kefta kabob sandwich. The staff was very pleasant, and asked me if I wanted anything to drink while I was waiting. My sandwich was ready in approximately 15 minutes, and I was ready to go. The kefta kabob sandwich was absolutely amazing! I found myself craving another one as soon as I finished it. It's so-so. There, I said it. I really tried hard to write a love letter about this place, as did dozens of others, but eating here wasn't an out-of-this-world experience as I expected it to be. As others have explained previously, the service leaves a lot to be desired. I know this is part of the whole 'home-cooked meal' or 'small family-run restaurant' part of its charm, but getting the appetizer after both main courses were finished did not make me feel any better. (That appetizer, Chicken Bites -- chopped chicken in puff pasty -- did prove to be delicious, however, especially with a twist of lemon juice.) The lamb shank with prunes and almonds tasted great -- but the portion -- yes, two lamb shanks -- was rather small. My dining companion and I each took one of the pieces and a few moments later, the restaurant lived up to its name -- a few 'bites' of food. The bread was borderline stale, and the chocolate cake dessert was flat and uninspiring -- think out-of-the-H-E-B-box. The baklava was above-average, however. Admittedly, I'm a tough crowd, as I did move to San Antonio from the food capital of the US -- or, the world -- New York City. Oh, one last thing: it's hard to find this place. I had me some Moroccan Bites for a friend's birthday this weekend, and it was exceptional, both in terms of food AND atmosphere. We were lucky enough to get the "big room," which is really just an annex of the main restaurant but has tables nestled among luxurious sofas and pillows covered in gold brocade. Dinner on the fancy sofa? Count me in! We started with the $100 appetizer sampler (I'm pretty sure you have to buy this if you reserve the "big room"), but it came with 6 appetizers and 4 pots of their chock-full-o-mint tea. It purports to be enough to satisfy 16-18 people, but 9 of us devoured it no problem. We wolfed down moroccan hummus (basically marinated chickpeas - not the blended hummus we've become accustomed to), moroccan "chicken bites" (seasoned shredded chicken in a perfectly done puff pastry), and marinated carrots (savory, not sweet) which were by far my favorite starter, and whose oil was perfect for dipping the bread we ordered. On dinner, I was torn between ordering a house specialty or a tagine, and settled on the latter - chicken and vegetables. It was better than I anticipated, infused with lemon and fresh herbs and oh-so-moist. The veggies were cooked to perfection, too. Oh, and more sauce for dipping! I have to say, though, I envied my friends' choice of Mashoui, which looked like a roasted/braised to perfection cut of on-the-bone lamb, served over standard saffron rice. I'm not even a huge lamb fan, but this was authentic "home" cooking at its finest. All of this in a truly homey atmosphere (above and beyond the sofas). Several generations of women work this establishment, and they are all lively, lovely, attentive, and fun. The only cons were they were out of some of their items (i.e. the beans appetizer that came so highly recommended), and there is no liquor. But sitting around, sipping some tea and savoring some truly great food in a family-owned joint makes a great evening in its own right. P.S. Get the baklava. Do it. read more

I can't believe it took me so long to write a review about this place because it's absolutley fabulous. It is truly one of the hidden gems in SA (well not so much anymore now that Guy Fieri showcased them). The tagines and mint tea are without a doubt something that everyone needs to try. Something that needs to be noted about the mint tea for first-timers is that it is already sweetened (and if you ask the owner for the recipe she will kindly give it to you as well as the name of the local shop she purchases all of her ingredients from). Also, the longer you let the tea steep the better. It's all about the pouring technique. Believe me, it does not disappoint. read more

I'm so excited about this place I don't know where to start. Everything is great about it. Food, people, ambiance, you name it. Okay, starting with food. Sweet mint tea is amazing. So flavorful. We usually get large pot per every 2 people at the table. And sometimes we need refills. Moroccan salad is surprisingly tasty for something that simple. Meat combo plate is my favorite entry but others are pretty good too. These people can cook lamb! This is a big deal for me because I keep trying lamb everywhere and it's just wrong. And finally I find a tasty lamb kebob. And rice. I could come there to eat just rice and still be happy. Best rice ever. If you feel adventurous try their sweet chicken pie (pastilla?). It's not on the main menu but it's on the cover, just ask for it. Now, for people. It's a family restaurant, and they make you feel a part of that family right away. Very welcoming and always glad to see you. Mom in the kitchen surely loves her arabic melodies. They add to the ambiance nicely. I heard they were going to tear down a wall and expand their restaurant twice the size. I originally heard about this place from a coworker but also saw it on DD&D. The restaurant is in a quiet shopping center near the Medical Center, but very easy to miss. The family who owns and operates it are always super friendly and make you feel right at home. Moroccan tea and veggie tagine, two of the best things I've discovered in the past year! The moroccan tea is basically green tea and fresh mint leaves but I don't know what they do to make it taste so great because I can't seem to recreate it at home. :) The veggie tagine is a medley of stewed roots vegetables. The fresh sweetness of the veggies when stewed together create such a rich homey dish. This is my favorite especially in the winter. I've tried other dishes like the chicken tagine and some of the kabobs. So far, I've never been disappointed! One of these days I won't stuff myself so much on the entree and save room for one of their desserts. From other reviews it looks like I definitely need to try one next time I go! The home made creme Brulee cheesecake is "Slap yo momma" good Its a bit pricey! but I gladly pay for the portions are generous and the family run business must be supported. I do not know anything about Moroccan food but the fish dish I had was absolutely delicious read more
