We had a vegetarian at our table so they brought out veggies to dip as well which was nice. My favorite was the roasted corn and the surprisingly the feta. It was enough to be full. Lamb was fatty but flavored nicely.

Wow. Just wow. We went here because Guy Fieri from Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives came here. The ambiance was purty fancy to me. They had private areas for parties and such. We were the only ones there except for two other people, so it was quiet. We soon had the waitress to ourselves. She was so nice! She even convinced us to eat lamb and this soup (can't remember the name). The lamb was SO GOOD and so was the soup! The rice was delicious, couldn't stop eating it. Fries; yummy. We had our lunch at Moroccan Bites and were really disappointed. We ordered Lamb Tajine and Chicken Tajine. Both were absolutely terrible. They didn't taste even average. Most importantly, they both had no Moroccan taste whatsoever. By the way, I and my wife are both Moroccans. I can assure you that Moroccan food is way better than what we were served at this restaurant. We were visiting San Antonio and wanted to try Moroccan Bites. We ended up having un-Moroccan Bites. We won't return back there for sure and won't recommend this place for anyone. It really gives Moroccan food a bad reputation. read more

I'm not the biggest fan of Middle Eastern cuisine here in San Antonio. I have been to Pasha, and a few years back there was an Iranian restaurant called Sina I would also go to. But I really couldn't find anything that great...until I found this little gem. Let me say that this isn't the most authentic Middle Eastern restuarant, but it had amazing food. The kabob was cooked to perfection, crispy and juicy on the inside. I had chicken kabob, but I managed to steal some of my wifes beef Koobideh. mmmmm. I'm coming here again. read more

The lady was defensive and didn't even try to apologize or compensate for the bad experience. If you want to taste non-Moroccan food, go to this place. I really like this place! The lamb is well cooked and extremely tasty. I love the lentils and everything else I have had there. The waiter was attentive but not overly familiar (something I really dislike) I am very excited to hear that they are expanding and will have a more Moroccan atmosphere with couches, etc. I highly recommend this place. read more

They said they sold out of it and to wait a bit to see if they can serve me a plate to try. And yes they did! That meal was absolutely delicious! It so happened my friend called me. I couldn't stop myself not inviting her! Yes we ended up sharing the plate and we both agreed that the restaurant gets a solid 5 stars not only for the food but how kind and welcoming they are! Next time I go I will definitely call ahead of time to make sure I secure my plate!

It felt like we were supposed to know what to order before we sat down. We saw a lot of regulars(I assume), literally order, wait and eat. Nothing else. The restaurant is a small, cozy spot tucked into a shopping center off Wurzbach and Vance Jackson, with plenty of parking. It has a very homey atmosphere, and everyone working there was incredibly welcoming. Our waitress was especially kind and took the time to explain the menu and help us choose dishes we would enjoy. They even gave us a card that showed us how to eat the food with the traditional bread, which was such a thoughtful touch. We ordered the meat and veggie combination along with the beef stew, and everything was absolutely delicious. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be the beef stew, but honestly, every bite was fantastic. The injera--the soft, spongy sourdough flatbread--paired perfectly with all of the dishes. While it has a slight tang on its own, it balances the rich, flavorful food beautifully. I already can't wait to go back! Between the amazing food, warm hospitality, and inviting atmosphere, this was an incredible first Ethiopian dining experience. I highly recommend giving this place a try, and I'll definitely be returning!
