I love being surprised like this!!…read more We've all driven by the waving cactus on US1 but never stopped, cuz it's just an other taco truck, right? Wrong!! Got out of rehearsal and wanted something different so we pulled in. They were just about to close but were friendly and happy to help us get our taco fix. I got 3 Tacos Carnitas on flour tortillas. Shredded pork was delicious, tender, and flavorful, but tasted a little more like Southern pulled pork than what I was expecting. Not bad, just different. The lovely Spensyr got a Carne Asada on corn tortilla and declared the steak very yummy!! Her side of street corn was so good I only got one bite! Chips and Guac were the only thing keeping this from a 5 star review. Chips were a little on the thick side and no salt, guacamole also lacked seasoning but with some lime juice and hot sauce added it wasn't half bad. We ate it all anyway... But that's not even the best part. If you walk 10' away, there's some big old gates that open into a walled wonderland. Peaceful music playing, trees and plants, quiet seating areas. We will definitely be back!

The orchids take over an entire tree from years of one plant reproducing, and the roots of a tiny table plant have grown over the table which is now the base of what has become a full grown tree. It's magical and a hidden gem. Street corn. Bad-ass quesadillas and burritos. Tacos. 100% excellence in food, atmosphere, and service. Thanks for a great night.

We came for happy hour and WOW were we impressed. Knowing they get crowded we came for 4:30 which…read morewas perfect. We were sat at a table near the bar which was great as it was inside and had a nice breeze with the fans and AC. Damien was our server and was wonderful at explaining the menu and the concept of their scratch kitchen. For our drinks we tried the classic and guava-habanero margaritas. We ended up liking the classic more just because the fresh ingredients were reminiscent of those we had in Mexico. It was a little too warm out to be doubling down on spice in our drinks too. We ordered a brisket quesadilla and for our tacos: carnitas, chorizo, and crispy fish. For our second round (not pictured), my husband tried the spicy chicken. He was warned the spicy chicken is exceptionally spicy but he didn't think that warning was warranted so maybe don't be afraid to try it if you're not big on spice. We had tap water that they left a large bottle on the table for. Even though we didn't drink too much of it, they still replaced it with a fresh bottle after a while since it probably got warm. One staff member even came to wipe up the water that had sweat off our drinks. Overall, El Camino exceeded our expectations. All of the staff was kind and courteous and the food was off the chart. And those happy hour prices are hard to beat! We definitely will be back!

Hello Gang, So my…read morebetter half heard about this place and we decided to pay them a visit and this place was a whole bag of meh!!! When you first walk in its lit up like a weird black lit night club. You have no one greet you and the staff couldn't be bothered - not good!! Standing up front staff where just ignoring EVERYONE except the door dash people who streamed in one after another - no signage mention of how to order your food or where to sit - nothing? So after standing around for a while we figured out you have to place your order on a little computer kiosk set off to the side. And then sit yourself down and wait the vibe of the place like I said was a black lit club with cool neon signs and glow in the dark paintings. The place was a yuppies idea of a cool taco joint - which was overly expensive and pretentious and unfriendly staff and tasteless food. I had a steak burrito which had barely any steak and what was in there was under seasoned the birria tacos where a little better but the sauce was bland. So $48 for a burrito and three tacos and a pico salsa was just overly priced and lame. They did have decent chips so there's that. Guys if your gonna have a gitchy cool taco joint first rule is to have GOOD FOOD!!! Second is to have friendly staff which you don't have. Third is to not to be so expensive!!! Honestly I would rather have a family run taco shop like tacos el carbon down the street half the price and better tasting food and responsive staff.
