We did not like it! We really tried as it was our first visit and last. I got the molcajete steak item that was scorching hot. It burned my taste buds. Love the ambiance & concept. The decor is incredible. Great place for a brunch with the girls or a date with your significant other. The servers and staff are friendly too which is a plus. I just first found out about this place tonight, it was amazing. Music, good food, good drinks, great service. Literally the mint water to the pretty cups complete the whole of this place. The shots platter for 45$ was amazing, kinda pricey but for the undeniable fabulous experience, great people I hung with and the heaven sent food was perfectly done. Got great photos for everyone inside and outside. The table in the front have cute fonts and a wooden pair of wings for photos which many people in my party ending up loving. Oh my god this spot was better than expected. I ordered the fish tacos made from Mahi-Mahi. My new favorite spot for fish tacos. Fried up right and a rich flavor topped with cabbage and a dynamite sauce. My mom and Chicken Mole enchiladas, with rice and refried black beans. Those beans were damn good. This is a restaurant based out of Guadalajara. EVERYTHING is made from scratch. The sauces, the tortillas, the desserts, the ice cream and it 100% tastes that way. I highly highly recommend this place being checked out. I'm going back for breakfast this weekend. We followed our mean with dessert. We got Pay De Elote. Paired with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and some type of flavored liquor that is poured in top. It looks like corn bread, has the texture of a sponge cake and the taste of heaven. We finally had a chance to visit Morra Mia....and did not disappoint! Where to start....great service, very clean, courteous, great environment and decor. But where it matter is the food. Great menu and offerings. Both my wife and myself ordered the amar y Tierra parrillada for two which included arrachera meat, chorizo, chicken, green onions, queso fundido and of course tortillas. I wanted to taste some tacos for an 11am lunch. so i walked it with my sister who lives in Frisco. we both loved the decor and the ambiance. It is fairly big and had a wonderful host. Unfortunately they were only serving breakfast. They apparently don't serve their lunch menu until 3pm?? Anywho the $11 drink was ok but not worth $11. I ordered the arrachera steak chilaqueles. First time, was in person and the decor is upscale and trendy. It has a great patio and lighting. Now, the important. Is the food good?! Omg, yes! To start, we had the Green Chile Queso + Chips Special. It's queso with a guacamole surprise in its cheesy center. My husband and I shared a parrillada for two. Great taste! Portion size? We left a to go box. Salsa are quite tasty. The presentation was really cute in small jar trios. Drinks were super tasty and refreshing. My fav was La Picosita. My husband had a great mezcal drink called La Piñata.Think traditional drinks with a splash of artesanal cocktails. Now, since eating out is super sketchy with COVID germs, we've gotten to-go several times. The take out was packed well, food was hot, and it's been super easy to order using Google ChowNow. (Just Google the restaurant and it pops up.) Here's what we've order and its rating. Mole enchiladas - 5 stars. I'm super picky about mole sauces, and this is by far the best I've had at any restaurant. A dark balance of sweet, nutty, and spicy. Chicken Pozole - 4 stars Tasty and great portion Pork Pozole - 5 stars Super tasty and flavorful. I personally think it's better than the chicken. Fish tacos - 5 star Great sized portion of fish. When we saw 2 tacos we were hesitant, but so filling--a meaty portion of fish. Coleslaw and salsa were a great compliment. Service in person was great and very attentive. This restaurant is top notch. It does get a little bit busy so the servers sometimes get a little bit overloaded, but it is well worth the wait. The food is absolutely delicious and extremely well prepared. Their prices are very reasonable compared to other similar establishments. We went for the first time. First of all, I hope you speak Spanish. The greeters greet you in spanish' which i get because it is a mexican restaurant. Our server spoke no English. I asked her if we could get a server who spoke English. 15 minutes later, we did get a server who spoke some English. It seemed like she was the only one in the entire restaurant who did speak some English. My husband ordered the posole and I ordered fish tacos. His posole was OK. I had the worst fish tacos I have ever had in my life. They were supposed to be breaded fried fish, but i have never seen a rubbery breading like that. It was "fishy" smelling and was just gross. Well as much as I wish I could give this place a higher rating, on this occasion it just isn't possible. While the place had been remodeled from its previous incarnation into a very unique looking restaurant, one that I was impressed with, the service left much to be desired. We celebrated a birthday party and had reserved a section well in advance, only to find out that they cancelled our reservation and made our party sit separately from each other. To top it off, our server, was extremely slow to the point of non-existence. Just for a table of four essentially because we weren't able to sit with the main party. Then when I received our bill, it was charged incorrectly with items we didn't order, and there was a gratuity already added on because we were included with the party we couldn't sit with. SMH!!! Now onto the food...we ordered the parillada with tons of chorizo (cuz it's cheap), some steak and chicken. Nothing special. Thee corn bread dessert was meh. The salsas were the best part of our meal. Oh, and our table enjoyed the flavor of the corn tortillas. As you can see, I'm all about good customer service, as that'll make or break it when it comes to my enjoyment of a place. This place looked so promising, and based on other reviews it must be good, so I really want to give it one more try because I hate to leave such a poor review. Great ambiance, delicious food , drinks are tasty but a bit water down I recommend beer if you want a buzz , the staff is young and not very experienced In fixing mistakes lucky I wasn't a jerk about our server bringing the wrong items to the table and still charging me for it. Management needs to train better. They aren't awful , they are friendly and attentive just small learning experience they need to work on.... NO !! I never want a free-be but if you mess up an order you either take it back and fix it or remove it from the bill it's restaurant etiquette 101. Food was great and decently priced! I got the pozole with chicken (blanco) in a cup. Very flavorful and tasted traditional. My service however wasn't as professional but the food made up for the overall experience. As far as the ambiance, I felt like I was in party central which isn't bad however it's not very kid friendly. When you walk in it looks like you are entering a coffee shop and once you get to the dining area it gives off a club feel with tables. Not bad! Just won't bring my kid next time. read more

Steak Quesadilla was good. Meat was tender and flavorful. I asked for one of each type of flauta (brisket, chicken, potato) and they were good and fresh. Mole sauce was spicy and sweet with a rich flavor. For a Mexican restaurant the rice definitely needs work. Very dry and bland. First time going to Morra Mia. Looked around for a place with a fun ambiance for my husbands 34th birthday and got that.We made a reservation on Wednesday night for 6:30 p and arrived 5 minutes early. The hostess had to check if she could sit us 5 minutes early because our reservation was at 6:30p (not a big deal, we could wait the 5 mins) but it really wasn't that busy at the time. The food was delicious and so were the drinks. The only downside is that although it wasn't super busy, it still took about 20 minutes for the waitress to do anything for our table. At times we couldn't even find her in the restaurant like she was hiding out in the back or something. She was running her own food to the tables so maybe that's why. So just have patience or order all your stuff at once or multiple drinks at once so you're not waiting for them to come around so you can order more. Three stars, just because of the service. read more

When I sat down the waitress brought over a small tray with three different salsa sampling's. Delicious. I finally settled on chicken with mole. The mole ( poblano style) was outstanding. The owner said it was all prepared in house. Although I am not a fan of putting the mole over the chicken instead of simmering the chicken in the mole, this was outstanding. I was able to shred my chicken and let the mole coat every forkful. Lovely. The te fried beans were black beans and I loved them because they were not overwhelmed with cheese. Again, a big treat. The rice had peas in it and that was wonderful. I highly recommend the Morra Mia. The manager and his wife are very attentive and the staff is very vigilant to fulfill your needs.
