If you are into dive bars, then this is the one you want to visit! We came here on a Friday night and there was live music, a great band and the bartenders were incredibly fun. The crowd was diverse and also welcoming, which in 2025 you can never be too sure, so I appreciated not being the only person of color there. The best part was that the bartenders were incredibly attentive and were giving you a fresh drink as soon as they saw your drink getting empty. Overall I would highly recommend coming here on a weekend, and make sure to get a seat at the bar. Just don't come during the middle of the day. For a "dive" bar, I thought the MT was pretty good. The bar is huge, the staff was friendly, pool tables were busy setting up for teams and they had a guy setting up on stage for song bingo. The bartender Miguel recommended wings. I ordered a half dozen (great quantity that not many places serve). On sight they were mouthwatering and smelled awesome. Taste wise they were fresh, sauced well and delicious. The hot sauce was cut with just the right amount of butter and was lip smacking good. Beer list was limited to all macro beers so you're not going to find anything craft or exotic. Lots of TV's surround the bar, I had a good signal on my phone and the song box had good tunes playing. The crowd was extremely diverse and everyone was friendly. Bathroom was extremely small. I can't believe they fit a urinal, sink and toilet in there! Good times at the MT. After dining at the delicious Salute ristorante next door, we came to Morrisville tavern for a night cap. Coming from elsewhere where they have laws to protect public health, we'd forgotten what it was like to be in a smoke-filled bar. Oh well, I lose any credibility in the health argument when I tell you I had 2 or 3 shots of whatever their well vodka was. I forget the brand (it wasn't popov or Vladimir), but at $3.50 a shot it was easy on the wallet if not my head the next day. Crowd looked to be lots of regulars. They have a menu of bar food, perhaps more like ballpark food because I remember hot dogs on the menu. Typical filthy, watch where step level of cleanliness in the men's room. As boujee as I am I love a good dive bar and I have to admit this was a nicer dive bar. It's no longer smoking. The bar area is clean. Bartender was super nice and attentive. We came in during the day on a weekday for two drinks. Thanks to two guys our second drink was paid for. We ordered wings and cheesesteak egg rolls. Food was very good better than average dive bar food. Wings were crispy and cheesesteak egg rolls portion was great and weren't greasy. Ladies bathroom was super clean. So I must drive by the Tavern probably 3 or 4 times a week and during the evening they always seem to have a crowd and a large tent for outdoor dining. Its a late night with not that much open right now so my girlfriend and I decide to go. We walk up and greeted by a 6'4 bald male with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth you immediately says hello and ask how he could help us. I stated we would like to have some dinner he guided us to the outdoor dining area advised us to find a table and enjoy. Got to say was not expecting that I thought I was gonna have to use my Tranquilizer gun. The tent was nice and warm and the tables were actually the large wire spools that you see on the back of your local power trucks. The drinks were cheap and came out in plastic cups. I ordered the fried fish sandwich and my girlfriend ordered the wings. Both came out in an decent time and the portions were very large. Here wings were very tasty however my fish was a little dry with a lot of bread. After putting some more Tarter sauce on, all was fine. There was live music going on the volume was not that bad. The portions were good, the prices were low and the waitress was nice. Is this your sit down high end establishment? NO. But if you want good food, good drinks and good prices on a non-pay week then this is the place to go. If your like us in our 50's i recommend to be out by 10pm. The younger crowd comes in and even though all of them were polite with no problems, the volume level does increase. Dinner with drinks $27. Good job Morrisville Tavern I will return. read more

I was looking for a place to hang out while a family member was in night class at Morrisville High School (English as a Second Language). Yelp offered a few suggestions nearby, and I choose to discover the Morrisville Tavern on West Trenton Avenue, at the edge of the Big Oak Shopping Center. It wasn't very busy at 7 pm when I walked in; just folks who looked to be regulars and family/friends of the attractive bartender. No one bothered to look up, which is a good thing on a first visit. I sat facing a multitude of HDTVs, and I was quickly approached by the lovely alchemist working the patrons. She gave me a rundown of the beer on tap, and when I asked about hard cider she offered Angry Orchard Apple. She also changed the channel on a few of the screens to bring up the Sixers basketball game (not that they would provide any real entertainment). The Angry was cold with a sweet/tart bite. Very good. I took a look at the menu and specials board, and wished that I had not already had dinner. The variety looked appealing, and the platters being served at the bar looked appetizing. Will definitely make a point to come hungry in the future. This is a nice dive bar. The natives are friendly and seem to have a comfort with each other. Personal conversations all around. I could do without the smoking, but given the scarcity of tobacco-accepting taverns these days, I understand why those in the habit appreciate having a place to call their own. I can deal with it now and then. I will be back soon, perhaps, next time without my work suit, so I can join in the camaraderie with more enthusiasm. read more

It's dark, smoky, and the parking lot gets very cramped and hard to maneuver in. This is not a place I would ever want to spend time in, but they're open late and sell six packs of canned and bottled beer. Since the Beer Mart across the road only sells cases, this is very nice when you don't want to go into Jersey. read more

THis is a dive i love. It has 3 pool tables and the best cheese fries ever. It has a touch tone machine, atm on premise, and even carries Patron if you want some good tequila. WHat more can you want? I give it 2 thumbs up. read more

Came here with. 10 or so friends on a Friday night thinking it might not be as crowded as some of the local restaurant/bars. We knew there would be cheap beer, pool tables, smokey air, and maybe some questionable locals. Our experience was awesome. The bartenders could not have been friendlier and the locals were pleasant despite the questionable sign on the wall warning patrons against helmets, gang colors, and knives attached to their belt. If you're looking to get a cheap beer and to be able to hear the person you are talking to, this bar is for you. The big downside is that they allow smoking. read more

Got there around 10 pm. Wasn't bad crowd at the time but as the night wore on, it got a bit crazy. There was police on the scene.

The WORST service and awful food! We made the mistake of sitting at a table, so of course we got no service, and had to keep standing at the bar trying to get a beer,,, after standing there with empty glasses for 5 minutes, the barmaid said "what's up ?". ( Not your tip, that's for sure! ) The food was hot and greasy, so the only flavor was the warm grease residue on my cheese quesadilla...
