Morton's is not only a restaurant, it is an experience. I had my anniversary dinner at Morton's and was great-gold. They have a great regular menu always featuring steaks along with a variety of side dishes and enhancers. The cocktails menu and the wine lists have plenty of choices with the best liquor. Cannot leave out the dessert list and the post dinner cocktails, great too. Our server Sardi was great, well mannered and pleasant. The manager was very attentive not only with us but with all the customers. The restaurant was quiet you could carry a conversation. Morton's offers valet parking. The restaurant has a wall filled with wine and an opened kitchen. "Yes Chef." Morton's =

Came to Morton's on Super Bowl Sunday and had such a great experience. We were celebrating my boyfriend's birthday and they were able to accommodate us with a private room, which made the night even better because we could watch the game comfortably while still having our own space. The restaurant itself is massive, with a really nice atmosphere and overall mood. It felt upscale but still fun and social. They also have valet parking, which was super convenient. I definitely want to come back again to try more items on the menu because I really loved the vibe and the experience overall. Highly recommend for birthdays, game nights, or a night out with a group.

    Waygu dumplings are amazing.

Third update and there is not much more I can say other than I have been a regular at Mortons for about 30 years now and I have nothing but great things to say about them. I could write a book on everyone of my great experiences in GReat Neck as well as the dozens of Morton's we have visited around the country as well as the unbelievable team members I have had the opportunity to laugh with and watch grow up. Mortons is not just a restaurant, it's a dining experience. I have never had anything less than a great experience dining here and enjoying the fabulous food. As I said prior, it has been a wonderful experience watching team members grow, marry, and have their own children. I look forward to many more years of this truly amazing restaurant. KUDOs to the while Morton's team!

I have been dining here for years and it never misses. The vibe is always perfect the staff is so great. The decor and ambiance is so upscale. Now let's get to the food. I have tried so many things over the years and never have I been disappointed.

Our family came to celebrate a family member's recent engagement. The ambiance was great and the server was excellent, who took note of my shellfish allergy and made sure the chefs/kitchen knew about the allergy. The dry-aged ribeye was great, soft, moist, flavorful. The cream spinach was good, but not as great as some others I've tried at other steakhouses. The dessert coffee had some alcohol in it that you could barely taste with excellent cream on top and the perfect dessert coffee size! Would definitely come back to try additional sides as well as some of the other steak.

Definitely deserving of 5 stars. Our waiter was Francis and he was amazing. The restaurant was clean and aesthetically pleasing . The food was good. The Cherry Blossom Martini was good. The service was great from the valet, to the receptionist, to our waiter. Everyone was pleasant.

Came here for a birthday dinner. Upon sitting down, they bring out this huge onion bread. It is absolutely DELICIOUS and SO soft! They give a really big size of butter for it as well. For dinner, we split the 22 ounce ribeye. It was absolutely delicious as well. We got it cooked medium well and it wasn't red inside, but it was very smooth and the knife cut right through it. It was very juicy and had great flavor. We also got the mashed potatoes with sour cream. They were AMAZING. We also ordered fries which were equally as great. Service was great. Ambiance beautiful and fancy. Dress code enforced, business attire. Valet parking. I've been to the Morton's in the city, and if it is a birthday/anniversary event, they would take our photo and then give it to us in a little card. This location in great neck didn't do the photo, but did give us a card. Nonetheless, I'd return!!

Tried Morton's for the first time for Father's Day. We started out with their delicious bread! To die for. It literally melts in your mouth. We ordered the 2XOsOld Fashioned. It was sweet, but, absolutely delicious! It definitely creeps up on you, so be careful! We did the Father's Day menu. We started with the Neuske Bacon Crispy Rice, my only gripe about this was the portions were so small. I am used to getting a full thick cut piece of bacon at steakhouses, but, this was only 3 little pieces. The bacon was good but I would have preferred the old way they used to serve it (from seeing old posts about it). For our entrees we got the NY Strip steak and the Ribeye. Both were delicious! Cooked exactly to out liking. We also had a loaded baked potato and the parmesean and truffle fries. Both were delicious as well. For dessert we had the hot chocolate cake and the Liberty Cake. The Liberty Cake was phenomenal, cheesecake in between strawberry cake with something similar to the strawberry shortcake ice cream pops we ate as kids. Overall a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back soon!

I've been to several Morton's during my travels. This was my first visit to the Great Neck, NY location and it is absolutely my favorite. We were greeted warmly when we arrived and had a round of drinks at the bars before the meal. The bartender made perfect Old Fashioneds and Margaritas for us - superb! When we were seated at our booth, Sardi took wonderful care of us. The jumbo lump crab cakes are the best I've had outside of Maryland. I thoroughly enjoyed the lobster tail and filet mignon - so fresh and cooked perfectly to temperature. The Ora king salmon was also excellent, as were our sides of roasted asparagus and sour cream mashed potatoes. Dessert was a molten' chocolate cake a la mode (delicious!) and key lime pie (amazing). Ambience, service and food were first rate from the moment we walked in. Thank you for a fantastic dining experience!

Morton's The Steakhouse - Great Neck, NY I had an amazing experience at Morton's in Great Neck! My plus one had a birthday today. Birthday celebration! I ordered the Steakhouse Wedge Salad, the filet, and a side of cream spinach which everything was perfect. The wedge salad honestly which surprised me because I'm not usually a salad person, but this one was incredible. Super fresh, perfectly chilled lettuce, just the right amount of dressing, and those crispy bacon bits gave it the perfect crunch. The steak was cooked exactly how I asked for it (well done) tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The cream spinach was rich and buttery, a perfect complement to the meal. For dessert, we had the lava cake, and it was absolutely delicious, warm, rich, and perfectly gooey in the center. The perfect sweet ending to an amazing birthday dinner with my plus one. Service was attentive without being overbearing, and the overall vibe was very classic Morton's: upscale but comfortable. This was definitely worth the visit when you're craving a top-notch steak dinner in Great Neck.

The servers were all wonderful, especially Eleni! She went above and beyond! Her recommendations were excellent! We had the Tomahawk and filet mignon - both excellent! It was a special going away dinner for my son. Eleni took a picture of us, and printed it, so we have a wonderful memory! I highly recommend this Morton's location.

Great service, consistent & properly cooked steaks, and delicious food. We've always had a good meal at this location, which is why we keep coming back. We make our annual trek here, usually for Hubs' birthday. When you order a medium rare cut of meat here, it will be exactly that: edges crisp and center a crimson-hued pink. Appetizers are delicious too, and it is recommended to try the variety if you are with a large party. We've ordered the gamut of items, from the Ocean seafood tower to the Tomahawk to the chocolate lava cake... everything We've had has been as expected. (Speaking of which, if you are with 2-3 adults, try ordering the tomahawk steak if you've never had it before. It's a sight to behold; the meat is pre-cut, and the presentation is impressive. ) Every item we ordered has come out consistent and expected of a high-end restaurant. The reasons I can't give it that 5th star... a) service has been inconsistent every time. Sometimes it's great... fully staffed, seated swiftly, and food arrives quickly. Other times, we're waiting at the entrance, and the front end isn't staffed, so a queue of patrons waiting to be seated starts growing. Further, We've had reservations requesting a booth, but walk-ins ahead of us get the booth. Also, the wait at our table for food might have a huge gap between courses. b) Bathroom: Sometimes TP is not stocked, and the stalls have tissue all around the floors. Additionally, some soap pumps are empty, and there are no feminine products stocked (even for coin purchase). Despite those minor dings, wait wmstaff is wonderful. George and "J" (Janine) are the 2 most awesomest waiters ever. They have kept our tables crumb-free, regularly change our plates, and make any special requests happen. Tip: join their loyalty program and go on your birthday!

    Adult happy meal.

The problem is that this restaurant has such a huge reputation and people rave about it so much that my expectations were very high. Unfortunately, I left thinking, "That was good... but THAT'S what everyone is raving about?" The pros: We got the porterhouse for two, and to be fair, the steak was tender and juicy and cooked well. The home fries were crispy and delicious, and the fried zucchini was crunchy and delicious. There were also plenty of employees around, so we were never exactly wondering where our waiter was. But there were quite a few things that made me scratch my head: First impressions matter, and the valet situation was confusing. The valet station is right by the front entrance, and pulling in, it wasn't immediately clear where you were supposed to go. Then we sat down and got cold bread and butter that was basically a hockey puck. Seriously... how am I supposed to butter cold bread with butter that could probably break a window? I'm going to an expensive steakhouse, I intentionally didn't eat much all day, and one of the first things put in front of me is basically something inedible. It sounds like a small thing, but at this level of restaurant, those little details matter. Warm bread and spreadable butter is something the cheesecake factory can manage. How is this their norm? There were also employees EVERYWHERE. I appreciate being well staffed, but there were so many workers standing around and huddled together that it actually made the restaurant feel a little chaotic. At one point I felt like there were more employees than customers. I was also pretty surprised there was no drink menu. No beer menu. No cocktail menu. Apparently I'm just supposed to have the waiter verbally list every beer they carry and order a cocktail without knowing what it costs. My wife wanted a specialty cocktail, and there wasn't even a menu to look through. Her Tito's martini was $25. Again, $25 isn't necessarily shocking at a high-end steakhouse, but I would like to know that before I order it. And she ordered it extra dirty, yet somehow it came out really sweet. Not exactly what she was going for. Another head-scratcher: every single appetizer was seafood. I understand seafood is popular, but literally every appetizer? For someone who doesn't eat seafood, that's a pretty big disappointment. Now for the star of the show: the steak. We got the porterhouse for two. Tender? Yes. Juicy? Yes. Flavorful? Not really. This was probably my biggest food disappointment. The steak wasn't bad whatsoever, but it needed seasoning. For a steakhouse with this reputation, I expected that first bite to be a "holy crap, that's good" moment. Instead, I was reaching for the salt. Some garlic, seasoning, or something to give it more flavor would have gone a long way. $160 for the porterhouse. $16 for home fries. $16 for zucchini. $25 for a martini After tax and tip, we're basically at $300 for dinner for two, and we didn't even get an appetizer or a drink for myself. I'm not mad that it cost $300, I'm mad that it didn't feel like a $300 experience. If I went to a moderately priced steakhouse and had this meal, I'd probably be saying it was great. But when you're charging these prices and have people talking about you like you're one of the best steakhouses around, the standard is different. I'm willing to pay for exceptional. I just didn't get exceptional. Maybe I'm being overly critical, but if I'm paying $300+ for dinner, I'm going to be critical. If I had gone in knowing nothing about the restaurant, I'd probably give it 4 stars and say we had a good dinner. But after hearing all the hype and having such high expectations 3 is all they earned from me Good steak. Good sides. Nice atmosphere. Plenty of staff. But I walked out thinking, "That's it?" I wasn't disappointed enough to say I had a bad experience. I just wasn't nearly impressed enough to understand why everyone seems to rave about this place.
