Tried Outback again since we were shopping at the Bay Terrace Shopping Center. Place is conveniently located with plenty of parking. I like the spacious booth seating and the atmosphere of the large dining room. Good views of the TVs too. We're always surprised by the variety of menu choices which are reasonably priced. Ordered the Aussie Trio Burger with Caesar's salad and cheese cake dessert. The wife had Onion soup and steak, also with cheese cake. The meal was filling and quite good! Broccoli side was over cooked but not a meal breaker. Service was prompt with an attentive and friendly staff. The place was clean. We left content knowing that we enjoyed good food at an affordable price. Give them a try when in the area! Update: Had lunch at Outback again because they had a $14.99 three course special. I had a house salad, coconut shrimp main course, and cheesecake dessert. I must say this time I really enjoyed my meal. The waitress was fairly friendly although I wish she came around a little more often. I had a Kiwi Strawberry Lemonade , ok but a little too sweet (doesn't all eateries make their lemonade too sweet). This tome around I'll give Outback 4 stars. read more

We decided to visit Outback Steakhouse with the family after not having been in years. I put us on the waitlist online and arrived about 15 minutes early. I was told the wait would be around 15 minutes, which was fine--but it ended up being an additional 30 minutes beyond that, which was a bit frustrating. The kids enjoyed their meals. My daughter had the Joey sirloin and my son had the cheeseburger, and both were happy with their food. I ordered the ribs and steak--unfortunately, the mashed potatoes were cold and overall the food was pretty mid. My husband ordered the pasta and actually enjoyed his dish. We finished with the skillet cookie for dessert, which was the highlight of the meal--really good and definitely worth it. Overall, it was an okay experience. Came here for a family dinner. We made reservations as we had a large party. Staffs were friendly and the service was quick. They provide coloring page and crayons for our little ones. Kept them busy. The complimentary bread is good especially when it is nice and hot with butter. Overall the food was good. The ribs were soft and falls off the bone. The sauce was good. The rice and mash potatoes were also good and it paired well with the ribs. My little one liked the Mac and cheese. The coconut shrimp was nice and crispy. The ribeye was a little chewy. Stopped in for lunch after doing some shopping in Bay Terrace. The Kookaburra Wings were the star of the show - so flavorful, well cooked, and great value for the money! We had ordered the Down Under Trio without bacon on the fries, but received the item with the bacon. We sent it back to be remade, and it seemed like the bloomin onion pieces were moved over from the original dish considering they were ice cold by the time the trio made its way out to us. It is not considered upscale or romantic, but rather a casual, contemporary, and upbeat dining environment with a large dining space including booths, tables, and a bar. Staff who greeted us was very welcoming, we were directed to a booth which is what I really prefer. My wife and I opted to order a blooming onion, steak with coconut shrimp, sweet potato on the side. The service was fast and quick, food was served still hot. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive but not to the point of being intrusive. I like the blooming onion's show-stopping appearance wherein each onion " petal" is separately coated in a batter, deep fried until golden brown and was served with a special dipping sauce. While the steak and coconut shrimp was good, delicious and hearty. I find the place has fair, reasonable prices and good value especially when compared to other restaurants. Can get there by bus too - I took buses from/to Main St Flushing. Large dining space with booths, tables and bar area, which I couldn't tell from the entrance (in a hidden corner between stores). We found the steak here a little bland compared to other places. My family noted the smaller sizes as well. Finally ordered a blooming onion - used to think it was too much for us but not anymore. The food just isn't the same as before. The steak was chewy and flavorless. When we sat down we waited about 15 minutes for our waitress that only showed her face to take the order and to ask us if we needed anything at the end of our meals. She passed us several times but not once asked if we were okay. We didn't even get utensils until we asked. We had to ask the busboy for steak sauce after waiting for a while to eat. She did not bring our food out the manager did, and she did not bring our check im guessing another manager did. Hostess was very friendly. She took us to a booth near bar area but it was elevated which be hard to step up or down. We then went around and found a booth there. There were not many people at Outback Steakhouse. We were like the first customers. Waiter came over took our orders and then staff came over with drinks and food came out shortly after. There was only one waiter and saw one server and the hostess. I had a great time. The food was good. Waiter came back to check on us. Sever did awesome job after bringing food asked if we wanted steak sauce. Piping crusty hot bread with butter. The Blueberry Lavender Lemonade- taste the lavender. I'll take another. We both ordered their special which was a 6oz Sirloin & lobster tail with two sides. The two sides were broccoli and fries and the other was broccoli with baked sweet potato. The lobster tails very very good and dipping pieces into hot butter. Oh My. The steak was okay. I will go for the filet for more chewy texture next time. Carrot cake- very moist. We just returned from the nicest family bday dinner. The wedge salad is DELICIOUS, and I enjoyed it the most. It's your typical chain restaurant with good food and service. I got their strawberry lemonade and side of fries. The strawberry lemonade was sweet, it wasn't bad at all. The fries had an interesting taste though, it could be that they used a different seasoning, but it tasted a bit like the seasoning I would use on steak. It was also a bit too salty for my preference. If you like meat heavy meals with lots of dairy, Outback Steakhouse is a good place to go. They also serve you bread and butter if you ask for it- I didn't get a chance to taste it because I wasn't too hungry, but the butter looked like it was whipped butter. Wow I haven't been to Outback since I was a lot younger, still in elementary school coming in for dinner for the crayon sets and kids menus. Our party of 4 dropped by on a Thursday evening. Initially they sat us nearby a bigger party but we wanted a more intimate, private setting so we moved over to a booth. For 4 people, the booth was spacious. There's hooks on the side of the booths to hang your jackets but might not be optimal if you're sitting close to the door like we were. Food came out very quickly, as there weren't too many patrons in the restaurant. The brown bread was delicious and happy to see that it's still offered. The mushroom appetizer was delicious. A quick little snack prior to the entrees. Perfect for a party for 4. I ordered the 1/2 rack ribs with the side of sweet potato and the house salad. House salad was mediocre, but the ribs were juicy, lathered in bbq sauce, and the sweet potato with brown sugar was very gooey and soft. read more

Any chain restaurant is all about service and this particular location was two thumbs up. My waitress Maria was super attentive, pleasant and a joy to talk with. The wings are really the main reason why I visit Outback, the dry-rubbed wings are simply out-of-this-world good. seasoned to Perfection and I just wish each order was double in size lol. The rest of my meal was just average at best, cheese was not melted on the burger and the baked potato was cold upon serving. I didn't make an issue because Maria was just so sweet so I overlooked some inexpensive entrees. This Outback has the potential to do better. read more

This location has become my go-to since the one by Queens Mall, near Rego Park, closed down. So far, I never had a bad experience at this location and never had to wait a ridiculous amount of time to be seated or to get food on the table. The last time I was here was 2 years ago... pandemic and all... Now it's more relaxed, and we love Jasmine as our server tonight. She was super friendly and made the visit feel like we were dropping by a friend's house. My go-to entree used to be their Ribeye steak, but now it's their slowly roasted prime ribs... I got a friend hooked on it too, while another is head over hills for theirs ribs. The soft drinks come with free refills. I walked in the greeter never acknowledged us he actually took a phone call and turned his back and never turned around. A server walked up and seated us in her section and I should have known it was going to be down hill from the walk in. We sat down placed our drink order and shortly after placed our food order. There was an issue with ordering the wings as we couldn't get the same amount as before the manager ended up coming over and basically telling us it was a misring and after telling her about the greeter she said nothing just went about her business.
