Always had a good burger here. Fries, salad and cheesecake for dessert for under $15. Can't beat that. Service is usually good and prompt. Plus if table has an AARP member, you'd get 10% off.

We went to OS for dinner. This location is nice. The food was good, the service was good as well. It was dinner time and the restaurant was getting busy. OS is always a good choice and it feels good to visit once in a while.

My order (Walkabout Wednesday Special, a drink was included), and Bloomin' Onions which was extra.

Update: Had lunch at Outback again because they had a $14.99 three course special. I had a house salad, coconut shrimp main course, and cheesecake dessert. I must say this time I really enjoyed my meal. The waitress was fairly friendly although I wish she came around a little more often. I had a Kiwi Strawberry Lemonade , ok but a little too sweet (doesn't all eateries make their lemonade too sweet). This tome around I'll give Outback 4 stars.

We decided to visit Outback Steakhouse with the family after not having been in years. I put us on the waitlist online and arrived about 15 minutes early. I was told the wait would be around 15 minutes, which was fine--but it ended up being an additional 30 minutes beyond that, which was a bit frustrating. The kids enjoyed their meals. My daughter had the Joey sirloin and my son had the cheeseburger, and both were happy with their food. I ordered the ribs and steak--unfortunately, the mashed potatoes were cold and overall the food was pretty mid. My husband ordered the pasta and actually enjoyed his dish. We finished with the skillet cookie for dessert, which was the highlight of the meal--really good and definitely worth it. Overall, it was an okay experience. I'd come back if the kids suggest it, but not necessarily for the food.

Came here for a family dinner. We made reservations as we had a large party. Staffs were friendly and the service was quick. They provide coloring page and crayons for our little ones. Kept them busy. The complimentary bread is good especially when it is nice and hot with butter. Overall the food was good. The ribs were soft and falls off the bone. The sauce was good. The rice and mash potatoes were also good and it paired well with the ribs. My little one liked the Mac and cheese. The coconut shrimp was nice and crispy. The ribeye was a little chewy. You do need to put some salt on it as it was light on the seasoning. Caesar salad wasn't too good. I would not recommend that. Overall it was a pretty good experience.

Stopped in for lunch after doing some shopping in Bay Terrace. The Kookaburra Wings were the star of the show - so flavorful, well cooked, and great value for the money! We had ordered the Down Under Trio without bacon on the fries, but received the item with the bacon. We sent it back to be remade, and it seemed like the bloomin onion pieces were moved over from the original dish considering they were ice cold by the time the trio made its way out to us. A pretty disappointing experience. The drinks were great though!

Me and my wife just finished watching a movie at a nearby theatre, got hungry and we decided to go to this steakhouse, we have been here so many times in the past and it's a decent place to have a meal. The atmosphere is casual and lively, featuring a moderate noise level that is great for groups, families, and sports viewing. It is not considered upscale or romantic, but rather a casual, contemporary, and upbeat dining environment with a large dining space including booths, tables, and a bar. Staff who greeted us was very welcoming, we were directed to a booth which is what I really prefer. My wife and I opted to order a blooming onion, steak with coconut shrimp, sweet potato on the side. The service was fast and quick, food was served still hot. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive but not to the point of being intrusive. I like the blooming onion's show-stopping appearance wherein each onion " petal" is separately coated in a batter, deep fried until golden brown and was served with a special dipping sauce. While the steak and coconut shrimp was good, delicious and hearty. I find the place has fair, reasonable prices and good value especially when compared to other restaurants. The combination of hearty, flavorful food, a fun atmosphere, reasonable prices and good service makes it a good choice for casual dining.

Outback has been around for years. I decided to take my kids. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant. It's was clean and spacious which made it very comfortable. I guess since I'm older with a more developed palette I can honestly say unequivocally that the food was salty. The blooming onion and shirmp was over salted. The salmon my wife had wasn't. Very flavorful.

Service is quick and our waitress was attentive. From the moment we sat down, we felt very welcomed and cared for. The food was also filling and delicious. I ordered a steak with ribs and 2 vegetable sides, and they were cooked to my liking. Would definitely come back here again.

3.5 Haven't been to an Outback location since the one in Elmhurst closed. Saw this place when we were in the area. Located in Bay Terrace Shopping Center so if by car, there's a big parking area. Can get there by bus too - I took buses from/to Main St Flushing. Large dining space with booths, tables and bar area, which I couldn't tell from the entrance (in a hidden corner between stores). We found the steak here a little bland compared to other places. My family noted the smaller sizes as well. Finally ordered a blooming onion - used to think it was too much for us but not anymore. Tasty though a bit oily and the batter came off easily. Most of our sides were good except for the mac and cheese which was also bland and not creamy at all.

Took mom out for Mother's Day Lunch. Called to see if I need to make reservations for a party of two on a weekday. Staff answered the phone and said to just come in. Be there in 15 minutes. Hostess was very friendly. She took us to a booth near bar area but it was elevated which be hard to step up or down. We then went around and found a booth there. There were not many people at Outback Steakhouse. We were like the first customers. Waiter came over took our orders and then staff came over with drinks and food came out shortly after. There was only one waiter and saw one server and the hostess. I had a great time. The food was good. Waiter came back to check on us. Sever did awesome job after bringing food asked if we wanted steak sauce. Piping crusty hot bread with butter. The Blueberry Lavender Lemonade- taste the lavender. I'll take another. We both ordered their special which was a 6oz Sirloin & lobster tail with two sides. The two sides were broccoli and fries and the other was broccoli with baked sweet potato. The lobster tails very very good and dipping pieces into hot butter. Oh My. The steak was okay. I will go for the filet for more chewy texture next time. Carrot cake- very moist. Coffee was kind of warm and not as hot. This Outback Steakhouse if the only one here. No other steakhouse in Bay Terrace. Will be back again. Come early. It got busy after an hour.

I made sure to secure a reservation since I had a large group; 9 of us in total, to celebrate two birthdays. Expectations were high given its reputation as a classic steakhouse, but I had not been to this location before. I've always had a great experience in Manhattan. Overall, this was just a "mid" experience - reason being mainly the food. Our server was fine - he took our orders and successfully managed all of our drinks. However, he only checked on us twice and it took a bit of time to get his attention for the check. The other staffers that brought out our food, extra plates or silverware were attentive as needed. We definitely ordered a lot of food! However, each dish was underwhelming and not memorable. What would have been a nice dinner with family and friends, but the quality was just not there. To be honest, the favorite of the night besides the $130 bottle of wine (Chateau du Parc), was the appetizer - thick cut maple glazed bacon which they now serve on a clothesline instead of on a warm plate, a trend these days. And the other memorable dish was the organic mesclun salad. The tomatoes and goat cheese were really fresh, and the salad was not overly dressed. Noticed I didn't mention the steaks. Meh. Other appetizers we had: - Charred Spanish Octopus (a very busy dish, needed to be simpler)- Lobster Bisque with chunks of lobster meat, meatballs for the table, and baked clams (bread crumbs were good) For dinner/shared by all: - we ordered two orders of "Porterhouse for two" to share at each end of the table. It was cooked as ordered, medium rare but it was not well seasoned. And it was more rare then medium... Still good for leftovers but not how it should've been. - Prime Rib Chop (aka Fred Flintstone) which was a 35-day dry-aged long bone Tomahawk chop. It was quite the presentation but flavor profile totally a miss. I did wrap it to go to save the bone and to re-cook - Prime Filet Mignon - lightly seasoned and slightly over cooked - The Big Jack Burger, very decent burger and cooked perfectly as ordered. The fries were great - lightly salted and plenty of them. The sides were most disappointing this evening: -garlic mashed potatoes, see photo -creamed spinach, decent but not memorable -brussel sprouts with bacon bits, plenty of char We were disappointed in the overall taste and prep of the steaks.

It had an oddly fishy taste when it should've been rich and buttery. It also lacked proper seasoning, so we ended up sending it back. For the entree, we ordered the dry aged porterhouse, priced at nearly $200. We asked for medium, but it came out well done, which was a letdown. The chimichurri didn't taste authentic, and while the signature steak sauce was fine, it wasn't anything memorable. We also ordered a side of bacon, which was decent but I've had better. The chili prawn noodles were another miss. It came with only four shrimp, wasn't spicy at all, and used spaghetti noodles, which felt off for the dish. The only real highlights were the creamed spinach and shishito peppers. Those were solid and you just can't go wrong with it. At best, I'd recommend coming here for the cocktails and the view. The food alone doesn't justify it. I added an extra star strictly because of the service. Shirley was excellent. She was knowledgeable, attentive, and gave great wine recommendations. Very accommodating and genuinely pleasant, which made the experience better overall.

But we are huge fans of the Peter Luger steak sauce & we had visitors, so why not visit this iconic steak house which is conveniently not located in NYC proper? We arrived a little early for dinner, so the restaurant wasn't crowded at all. They had us sit for a second at the bar lounge while a table was being assigned to us. The ambiance really plays up the heritage of the Peter Luger brand. We were seated towards the very back of the restaurant. I really liked the area since it was not too dimly lit. We started with the breads and wedge salad. I love carbs, and I liked that the breads were a little heavily seasoned. Caraway seeds are not for everyone, but they are for me. The butter was not very flavorful or soft, but I guess that's being too picky for free bread and butter before the meal. I chose the wedge salad because I knew I'd want crisp lettuce with my steak & also this salad comes topped with chopped bacon. The same thick bacon that people order on the side! It felt like a two-for-one dish. I enjoyed both the bacon and the lettuce smothered in blue cheese. The bacon really was nicely cured. We got the steak for two, which came on a sizzling plate precut. We did ask for medium-- not my preference-- because my guests didn't really enjoy eating meat not browned up all the way through. However, the steak came out closer to medium-rare. Initially, the plate was hot enough for us to try to sear the pieces. However, I found that the plate cooled much more quickly than I thought. The flavor of the meat was very prominent and the seasoning was well executed. Creamed spinach was a bit of a disappointment. It just didn't really taste like anything except a little muddy in aftertaste. The onion and tomato were nice, thick slices that helped cut through the richness of the steak. I did write on the reservation that my guests were celebrating a wedding anniversary, and they brought out some whipped cream and chocolate even though we declined dessert! Always such a lovely touch.

The calamari was somewhat rubbery, and it was coated in a tad too much flour. I prefer mine flash fried in a dusting of flour. The calamari did not taste fresh caught, either, and It was served with a side of garlic aioli. My preference is for a side of marinara sauce, which pairs perfectly with calamari. I had the Lobster Il Toscano, which cost $85. It was lobster meat from two, one pound lobsters sautéed out of their shells. The lobster was between firm and mushy. It did not taste fresh caught, like what I get in the summertime for a similar price while dining in any of the seaside restaurants in the Hamptons or Montauk. I also ordered the New Old Fashioned, whose main ingredients are Maker's Mark and Vermouth. I did not like it because I do not like Vermouth. I overlooked that it had Vermouth in it when I was looking at the cocktail menu. My dinner cost me $132 because they put a mandatory $20 mandatory tip on the check. The bill was originally $112.
