Had lunch at Mo's deli on Hallandale Beach Blvd. I ordered a white fish salad sandwich on a bagel. It was plentiful and delicious. They add French fries for free as a part of the order. My only gripe was that is was overpriced at $21.95 plus a soda. Add a tip and my bill was over $30 for a lunch. I had the same thing with Bagel Nosh up the road on Hallandale Beach Blvd and the same sandwich cost me $14.95. What a big difference. Besides it being a bit pricey, I was very happy with my experience! We were greeted and sat immediately and our server came right over for our drink order. The whole place was very clean, neat and organized. Upon bringing our beverages, we're were served 4 DELICIOUS pieces of fresh complimentary coffee cake. Our server was very conscious of our drink levels and was all over keeping our glasses filled. When our food was served, it was hot and in very large portions. I have to say that I really really enjoyed my omelette along with a bagel it came with. As I said, initially, pricing was a little high, but the service food and ambience of the place was awesome. I'm reaching out as last Thursday I bought spinach knishes and one of them contained a metal piece in it that my daughter bit into. Thankfully, she noticed it before damaging her teeth and we luckily didn't microwave the knish as it could have caused a fire. I've reached out on Instagram and spoke with the manager in person who agreed that the metal might have come from the mixer and that Moe the owner would call me. Visited a while ago for a breakfast sandwich, an americano and pastries. This restaurant has a wide variety of freshly made bagels. Very informal service, not the friendliest but efficient and fast. He had a western omelet, and the veggies were way too overcooked. There were a lot of burned parts. The server mentioned their lemonade, omg, so good and freshing. After years of going to the Aventura location I thought I would try Hallandale. There were maybe 8 tables utilized and saw numerous staff. Service was not good nor was the food. Corned beef sandwich rye bread fell apart after 1bite,fries were cold. Coffee took forever to get and even longer to get refilled. Today I went to buy Rugelach, and then had the very distinct pleasure of trying one of their macaroons. Have you ever put something in your mouth and as you were enjoying it thinking - this may be the most delicious thing I've ever tasted? That was exactly my thought today with the macaroon. I've eaten at Mo's many times over the years-breakfast, lunch - always good - both the food and the service, and the people there are so nice...and also bought Rugelach there previously. I said seriously a bagel and cream cheese is 6.49. I asked how much is Judy the bagel $1.50. I told her give me that I will pot cream cheese on at my house! This restaurant took the place of the old sage deli by the gulf Stream race track. Walking into the deli was refreshing; they took an old run down interior and made it very attractive and appealing to anyone entering; it looks like a complete makeover on the outside, including new tables, restrooms, etc. I ordered a pastrami sandwich and was offered fries as an alternative to potato salad along with coleslaw. The pastrami was delivered on a Rye bread, and it was a generous amount of pastrami, and it was the fatty kind that I love. After taking a bite, it was hardly warmed up and tasted like commercial pastrami that you can get just about anywhere. Call slaw I was not too fond of it all. The cabbage was large instead of shredded, and I was not too fond of it, and the taste was also lacking. The french fries were horrible, although they tasted more like this fries you would get from KFC. I ordered a bagel to go, which in my opinion is expensive; if I would've ordered it at the table, it would've cost three dollars, really three dollars for a bagel? In the car, I took the bagel out of the bag. I squeezed it, and it appeared to be fresh; it had a crunchy Exterior. When I finally took a bite out of it, it had virtually no taste, and I doubt very seriously I'll return to this place unless it's the last possible option on my list. The food wasn't horrible, but it wasn't good either, at least not for me. I'd instead go to the delis up in Palm Beach County than go back to this place. I have always liked Mos Bagels. Their stuff is good. I was very excited to check this new location. I am glad they open this location so closed to me. It's located in a plaza with plenty of parking spaces specially for big cars. First impression, everything looks so clean and neat. The bake goods are all in individual packages, ready to for sale. I liked that. Big selection on bake staff and sweets. I didn't see prices. My order was a Greek Salad. Mo's make one of the best Greek salads I have ever had. With big chunks of Feta cheese and veggies. Its really good. It was the way I remembered it. A little pricey too. Just the way I remember it lol six dollars for half a pound salad. I almost ordered bagels but I read the reviews and decided to get something else and they have plenty of things to choose. I ordered pastrami on rye. I was happy with it. A big portion. It tasted absolutely great. It came with a pickle and a salad. I chosed potato salad. It was good I enjoyed it. They have an outdoors sitting area as well as inside. Long awaiting this place to open. The last time I peeked in the door who knew it would open only days later. So by all accounts it's been open a week. If I had known the day I would have waited outside. Anyway ran over today for a late lunch. The parking lot was full at 2pm on a Monday I can't even imagine the weekend's to get in. I got one of the last empty ones. Once inside I didn't know where to go. I guess there was a hostess stand but with no one at it I just wandered around. Finally I was greeted and was lead to a nice table in the back a good 60 feet away from anyone. There was a lot of people sitting outside but didn't look as comfy as the interior of this place. Hands down a 5+ for cleanliness and no foul orders. I ordered a Diet Dr. Brown Cream Soda it was served with a nice glass with ice and the server opened it and poured it right in. Also gave me a wrapped straw. Next a cup of Cabbage Soup the cup is oversized so it was definitely too much to finish that and not a love fest my Mom's was better. They give you a Half Sour Pickle and Fresh Cole Slaw the Slaw was a 5. Lastly a homemade as stated on menu Kasha Knish. This was excellent probably the best Kasha Knish I ever had. Definitely need to inquire if they have Kasha Varnishkes as well. One of my favorite dishes that my Mom would make. Definitely will be back soon for breakfast or lunch.
