Stopped in before our flight. Grabbed a couple of smalller things which were decently priced for being in an airport- about $12 for French toast and $8 for the B&G. Service was ok, cashier wasn't peppy and bright like the Dutch Bros baristas always are but who can blame him. It's Portland airport after all. The food was being made to order, me thinks, which is nice. Took a few mins to get our order and away to the gate we went. The biscuit was big! Very soft. Not extremely flavorful as bread goes but it was ok. Nice fall apart texture. The gravy was lacking though :( I got a large bowl of it with my large biscuit, and that was nice, but I sure thought about hot sauce during the whole meal. The French toast was ok, a bit too much butter according to my son, and I thought it had a strange texture (not custard like which is my favorite way to have French toast). They have a decent amount of slices and dusted it with powder sugar which is great but again, just ok. I'm not even sure how one could create the texture I experienced but either way, we appreciated the portion and the freshness, I guess lol read more

It had been a long time since I'd flown through the Portland Airport, and it sure has changed! There are so many places to choose from. I decided to stop at Mo's. Before ordering, I asked the counter employee, Enrique, if the fish was fresh. He smiled and said, "Well, it's not frozen," and I was sold! I ordered the beer battered halibut, and it was cooked to perfection. The fish was tender, flaky, and melted in my mouth. To go with my meal, I tried a local pilsner, which was crisp and delicious. Before leaving, I noticed they sold packaged saltwater taffy for just $5.50. Of course I had to buy some! It was so good and instantly brought back wonderful memories of our annual family vacations to Seaside, Oregon. If I'm passing through the Portland Airport again, I'd definitely stop at Mo's for another great airport meal. read more

Sorry I really wanted to like this place because I have eaten here before but this was my first sandwich. The chowder is pretty tasty but it's full of potatoes and not a lot of clams. The counter service was nice and easy there was one guy Cleaning the Counter from the ordering side and there was another guy in the back taking the orders so the place is clean. I ordered the shrimp melt and a cup of chowder. Very disappointed in the shrimp melt it's made out of those teeny tiny little baby shrimp that don't stay inside the sandwich. The sandwich was basically just some cheese with those baby shrimp in it. The bread looks nice and toasty however it's hot and soggy and I don't know how they make bread that way but I have been to a hamburger place that does the same thing and I have the same complaint how is the bread hot and looks toasted but it's so soggy and steamy?? Just griddle it OMG that being said if I tried to pick up a sandwich the whole thing fell apart and since it wasn't that good I ended up not eating it and throwing it in the trash I ate the chowder and the fries were great. read more

Beautiful views all around, sitting took a while when we were there visiting and food was ok for me,I like the little gift shop near the entrance and place overall is clean. I'd go back for those views and try something else next time. read more

Anyone who really knows me knows that I have an unusual infatuation with clam chowders!!! I also need them to taste a certain way, according to my personally palette. Whenever I'm passing through PDX, I always have to stop and grab some chowder from Mo's! So delicious, creamy, and it just hits the spot. Especially when you can get it in a big warm bread bowl. The staff is always friendly service is pretty quick. There's a nice large seating area for the food court so you can relax and enjoy and there's always usually live entertainment by either a pianist or vocalist with a guitar. Don't forget to grab a mimosa while you're waiting! lol read more

Stopped in for a quick bowl of chowder. The chowder was good and it was super hot. It came with crackers and you can get some tobasco sauce at the counter. There was tons of butter on top of the chowder in the bowl. I had to use my napkins to soak up some of that butter myself. The chowder itself was pretty good. It had tons so soft creamy potatoes on it and very little clams. If there were more clams and less potatoes that would have been better. Overall it was not too bad. I love Moe's and will come back again sometime. read more

Was in a hurry in between flights at the airport and wanted clam chowder so thought to give it a try! There are 3 bowl sizes. Regular, large (12 oz) and extra large (16 oz) . Each comes w saltine crackers. The clam chowder was good and had lots of ingredients. Each scoop had tons of food. But the only thing was I thought there were too much potatoes. I barely found clams. It was pretty good. It tasted fresh and it was pretty plentiful. They give you fries and tarter/cocktail sauce. They ran out of tacos. It was a bummer because it was what I wanted. We landed at the Portland Airport at 7:30 this morning. I checked out this joint's menu last night from home. Known for their clam chowder, of course I was going to have to get some even though its 7:30 in the morning. This place was popping for being a early as it was! They had so many people waiting for orders and waiting to order. Besides the clam chowder, they offer a variety of breakfast items which is cool. Breakfast bagels, breakfast burritos, biscuits and gravy. I got myself a small clam chowder. I was still full from my yogurt cup from earlier or I totally would have gotten the bread bowl. I snagged the biscuits and gravy for my husband. Biscuits and gravy is always a safe bet for my husband. Our food came out hot! And honestly, when I opened my soup cup and saw all the seasoning on top, I was worried about it being overwhelming. I was wrong. The seasoning was a great addition to the soup. It was hot! It was loaded with potatoes, clams and bacon. It was creamy and savory. That clam chowder was legit good! My husband smashed out his biscuits and gravy so I'm sure they were fantastic. I'm happy I got to try this joint out cause who knows if I ever will get to try them again. The service was fast and everything came out super hot! Wanted to get some kind of seafood before we left PDX and settled for airport clam chowder. Very good, I got a bowl and it came with a decent amount. It was savory and not too heavy. I was expecting to having an uncomfortable flight from an upset stomach, but felt no such thing! Would get again. My only gripe was that it was a little slow as a whole process, but still worth it. read more

Didn't get to try MO's in Portland so I thought I would give their airport location a try. Should be the same, just a little pricier I assumed. Well the soup was ok, but tasted more like potato soup than clam chowder. Hardly any clams in my soup either. Only good thing is the prices in the Portland airport are nothing like the prices at LAX, so not a big loss. I did also pick up their frozen soup base which travelled well even though they don't have plastic bags to catch the sweat from the defrosting, but they did double bag it in paper for me. I can always add my own clams to the base, so not too upset. Oh well. read more

Great spot for a quick convenient meal. Whether it's breakfast or lunch. Easy on the pocket too. I got the Bacon Egg and Cheese bowl that also contained potatoes. $8 for 16oz bowl. Ordered a chowder and a clam strip combo. The wait was maybe 5 minutes, the order came out correct and the food was hot and tasty. Neither clam strips nor fries were oily or greasy. There is a common seating area for six places. Fine alternative to typical airport fare. read more

It wasn't amazing nor was it terrible. It was good for airport food. People were friendly and seating was plentiful. I ended up trying the clam chowder and panko fish and chips. (Note: the Alaska cod is panko crusted and beer battered is halibut). Clam chowder: the bacon inside was the dominant flavor of the chowder. I wish there was a little less bacon and a bit more clams. With that said it wasn't bad. Panko fish and chips: the fish was nice and flakey. There are 4 larger nuggets served and the fries were nice and crunchy. All in all I'm glad I tried it. Everything was fried fresh to order and the soup was piping hot. Not a bad option if you're at PDX. read more

Wow, all I can say is my clam chowder was absolutely delicious. Located in Concourse C at PDX, it was pretty easy for me to order at the counter and receive my food. I did like that there is a common sitting area to eat so that there is ample room for patrons. I highly recommend their clam chowder! read more

Good ol' Mo's, always makes me smile to see the name/sign. This company has been around for a long time and is super well known for their clam chowder. Starting out with locations in the Oregon Coast, the Newport location was our regular stop growing up. I don't like clam chowder so I only ever had it once or twice but I have pretty much made my way through the different offerings on the menu and I was never disappointed. This airport location offers a sense of nostalgia all wrapped up in the new, fastish food served with genuine care. read more

Let me tell you the chorizo breakfast bowl rocks! In the Portland airport looking for breakfast and I'm surprised there were places open at 5:30 A.M. when we landed. There was a line here and I just kept thinking is chowder a breakfast thing? Okay they have a breakfast bowl with choice of bacon, sausage or chorizo - that sounds good! I'll try a bowl of their chowder too! Chowder was kind of heavy on the potato but I think most chowders are that way so substantial, hearty and good flavor just wish it had a bit more seafood. Had an unexpected layover at PDX. Found this little gem near my gate. I don't expect much from airport food, but this place was beyond delicious with fair prices. After a 15 minute wait, I was ready to taste my cod fish and chips. I was disappointed because the cod was pretty tasteless. And the fries were kind of soggy. This is not how I remembered MO's Chowder House from the Oregon Coast. The one redeeming point, the clam chowder is still good. Next time , salt the fish and add a few spices! read more

Food was out quick! But sadly, the good things end there. It is clear that the fish, shrimp and clam strips were flash fried pre-frozen. The fries and the shrimp were....okay. The fish and the clam strips have absolutely no flavor. Maybe I should try the chowder next time. read more

This has always been my favorite place to grab breakfast at PDX. The staff today was extremely sub par. Mistakes were made and not only was staff confused and rude, the manager on duty was also incredibly rude. Zero confidence the issue was resolved and it was left with me to deal with at a future time. Would rather starve than support such rude employees in the future. No thanks. read more

I was eagerly looking forward to visiting this airport location on my outbound flight from Portland Oregon ... the service is good they kept telling everyone, the order will be ready "in a couple of minutes ". ....No way.......it was like 15 -20 minutes so that is not right..... very frustrating. but anyway I had a clam chowder cup, they claim to have it New England style with bacon....yah but too many potatoes .......and then the fish and chips .....three beer battered very fresh pieces. Asked for the Halibut. Costs a $5 more than the Alaskan Cod. Not an issue. Fries were good. read more

We watched you-tube videos of this place before we went on our Oregon coast road trip. The food is horrible, and they don't have REAL clam chowder, comes from a can:(. They do have ok tasting fish and chip, but that's ALL. The service was good, and the waiter was nice. The chain of restaurants is one we would avoid in the future. I appreciate PDX's efforts to include local business, but this proprietor has not trained its staff to meet the unique demands of fast-service for airport customers. All I ordered was a cup of chowder and watched the flustered staff struggle to stay organized despite the very short line. The shrimp cole slaw in the fridge looked interesting until I saw the second ingredient is "high fructose corn syrup" - not what I hope for when choosing supposedly local food. read more

I love eating at Moe's one of my favorite things to do when I go to the coast. It's too bad I had a really bad experience this time around. I was at PDX on my way to a work conference in Phoenix. A few coworkers and myself decided to stop by Moes for some clam chowder before our flight. I was a bit more hungry than the rest and got myself a shrimp melt as well. On the flight I started not feeling so good and Burping up the food. Once we arrived I was full blown sick. I ended up with NVD (nausea, v...) the rest of my work trip. The symptoms lasted about 4-5 days. Practically ruined the trip and experience due to food poisoning. read more

After looking at all the choices at the PDX airport, this spot looked the best (and also smelled so so good when I walked by). I got the beer-battered halibut and fries plus the clam chowder in a cup. Honestly, best airport food I've had! I expected the fish to be dry but it was super good, tasted fresh. The fries were also decent. The clam chowder was pleasantly good, I definitely expected this to be out of a can but it tasted fresh and delicious. It was also piping hot - perfect for the usual Portland weather. Definitely one of my faves out of my Portland trip! Which says a lot, considering this was just airport food. read more

First time visiting PDX and I needed to grab something to eat before my flight. Mo's seemed like the perfect spot. I get to get seafood from a city close to the ocean. I ordered a cup of the clam chowder. It was nice but nothing to write home about. I ordered the fish and chips. Small amount of fish and decent amount of fries. The food is hot like they just pulled it out of the fryer. The food was great compared to the other airport options. I should have eaten before going to the airport. read more

We had dinner there on a Friday night, and there was plenty of tables available. Let's start off with the food. I had the pork chops. Probably one of the best I have ever had. It was cooked just right. Another one of the Foodie Folx ordered the Vodka Pie Pizza, she loved it. The Beet salad was also a very big hit. I of course had the tiramisu for dessert. Excellent. The service is very good. You order at the counter, and they bring out to your table. Oh I want to mention that the Penicillin cocktail is excellent.

Checked in ~5min early, and ended up waiting for ~15min past reservation time because the hostess did not let us know we had to check-in *again* when the person parking the car had made it to the restaurant. We ended up with what was, in my opinion, the worst table in the restaurant, after watching several parties of the same size seated at 'better' tables, all of which had arrived after the driver, who was there less than 2 min later (so still prior to scheduled time) after I was at the hostess stand, and we were seated waiting in direct view of the hostess. PLEASE be clear in your communication about this policy: it was neither clearly posted anywhere nor voiced - it wasn't a huge inconvenience, but I would have much preferred being sat in the main area. The restaurant areas are each different: the bar area itself is the least interesting: several seating booths and the bar, closest to the bathrooms. The main dining area has more seating, a fireplace and the self serve coffee bar - I LOVE this feature, and even saw a Wonderwood Springs mug.
