Shrimp melt and a cup of chowder
    Betty J.

Sorry I really wanted to like this place because I have eaten here before but this was my first sandwich. The chowder is pretty tasty but it's full of potatoes and not a lot of clams. The counter service was nice and easy there was one guy Cleaning the Counter from the ordering side and there was another guy in the back taking the orders so the place is clean. I ordered the shrimp melt and a cup of chowder. Very disappointed in the shrimp melt it's made out of those teeny tiny little baby shrimp that don't stay inside the sandwich. The sandwich was basically just some cheese with those baby shrimp in it. The bread looks nice and toasty however it's hot and soggy and I don't know how they make bread that way but I have been to a hamburger place that does the same thing and I have the same complaint how is the bread hot and looks toasted but it's so soggy and steamy?? Just griddle it OMG that being said if I tried to pick up a sandwich the whole thing fell apart and since it wasn't that good I ended up not eating it and throwing it in the trash I ate the chowder and the fries were great.

Anyone who really knows me knows that I have an unusual infatuation with clam chowders!!! I also need them to taste a certain way, according to my personally palette. Whenever I'm passing through PDX, I always have to stop and grab some chowder from Mo's! So delicious, creamy, and it just hits the spot. Especially when you can get it in a big warm bread bowl. The staff is always friendly service is pretty quick. There's a nice large seating area for the food court so you can relax and enjoy and there's always usually live entertainment by either a pianist or vocalist with a guitar. Don't forget to grab a mimosa while you're waiting! lol

    Bowl of clam chowder $8.50

Stopped in for a quick bowl of chowder. The chowder was good and it was super hot. It came with crackers and you can get some tobasco sauce at the counter. There was tons of butter on top of the chowder in the bowl. I had to use my napkins to soak up some of that butter myself. The chowder itself was pretty good. It had tons so soft creamy potatoes on it and very little clams. If there were more clams and less potatoes that would have been better. Overall it was not too bad. I love Moe's and will come back again sometime.

Extra large (16oz) clam chowder and garlic bread

Was in a hurry in between flights at the airport and wanted clam chowder so thought to give it a try! There are 3 bowl sizes. Regular, large (12 oz) and extra large (16 oz) . Each comes w saltine crackers. The clam chowder was good and had lots of ingredients. Each scoop had tons of food. But the only thing was I thought there were too much potatoes. I barely found clams. And the garlic bread was yummy too!

Good hearty chowder to warm me up at 8 in the morning and not too salty. I have to mention the cover they use on the bowl. Not sure how it works. I think more ridges inside? But it's on there good. It wasn't trying to just fall off.

Stopped by to try the clam chowder and it was tasty and filling. I enjoyed finding the chunks of clam and potato. The service was quick.

It was pretty good. It tasted fresh and it was pretty plentiful. They give you fries and tarter/cocktail sauce. They ran out of tacos. It was a bummer because it was what I wanted. They had clam chowder options. Overall service was good and they also had a cool selection of cod, shrimp and clam strips. The batter was delicious and fries were very tasty.

We landed at the Portland Airport at 7:30 this morning. I checked out this joint's menu last night from home. Known for their clam chowder, of course I was going to have to get some even though its 7:30 in the morning. This place was popping for being a early as it was! They had so many people waiting for orders and waiting to order. Besides the clam chowder, they offer a variety of breakfast items which is cool. Breakfast bagels, breakfast burritos, biscuits and gravy. I got myself a small clam chowder. I was still full from my yogurt cup from earlier or I totally would have gotten the bread bowl. I snagged the biscuits and gravy for my husband. Biscuits and gravy is always a safe bet for my husband. Our food came out hot! And honestly, when I opened my soup cup and saw all the seasoning on top, I was worried about it being overwhelming. I was wrong. The seasoning was a great addition to the soup. It was hot! It was loaded with potatoes, clams and bacon. It was creamy and savory. That clam chowder was legit good! My husband smashed out his biscuits and gravy so I'm sure they were fantastic. I'm happy I got to try this joint out cause who knows if I ever will get to try them again. The service was fast and everything came out super hot! The chowder was legit good and if I ever come across another Mo's, I'm definitely going.

Wanted to get some kind of seafood before we left PDX and settled for airport clam chowder. Very good, I got a bowl and it came with a decent amount. It was savory and not too heavy. I was expecting to having an uncomfortable flight from an upset stomach, but felt no such thing! Would get again. My only gripe was that it was a little slow as a whole process, but still worth it.

Whats up Yelpies When you're traveling in the morning and can't figure out if you have time for breakfast.... Then this is the spot!! In less than 5min I received a hot fresh breakfast burrito and a cup of coffee. With quick service like that for a person on the run you deserve to eat good so why not eat at MO'S !!!! Get you some good eats

Didn't get to try MO's in Portland so I thought I would give their airport location a try. Should be the same, just a little pricier I assumed. Well the soup was ok, but tasted more like potato soup than clam chowder. Hardly any clams in my soup either. Only good thing is the prices in the Portland airport are nothing like the prices at LAX, so not a big loss. I did also pick up their frozen soup base which travelled well even though they don't have plastic bags to catch the sweat from the defrosting, but they did double bag it in paper for me. I can always add my own clams to the base, so not too upset. Oh well.

Great spot for a quick convenient meal. Whether it's breakfast or lunch. Easy on the pocket too. I got the Bacon Egg and Cheese bowl that also contained potatoes. $8 for 16oz bowl. Plenty of protein for my flight. Service staff is super friendly and efficient. I got my order crazy quick. It was hot off the grill. This is a Small Business franchisee. Well Done MO's! Aloha

Sure, you could go to Salty's or…read moresomething, but it's not the quirky, laid-back afternoon/evening you can have on The Deck, which is actually *on* the water. This is actually the first time I was at The Deck *not* with a work group (which they are also good for), so we got to try some of the better menu items. This is, of course, a place for seafood, so we got the bay shrimp cocktail (so many shrimp!) and I had the Halibut Heatwave sandwich. Both were good, as were the fries. My sweetie got the BBLT (BLT with extra bacon) which was ... two meals, really. Overall, The Deck really has the best food I've had floating from a restaurant. It's really amazing what they can produce on a houseboat, especially since they have to wheel their supplies down the same ramp you entered on. Our server was fun and really embraced the summer dining on the water spirit, with a Hawaiian shirt and matching pants, and lots of happy silly chit-chat. Pretty much all the staff were cheerful and friendly, which is my regular experience and kinda amazing when you think about how this place is only open 5 months a year. This is really what you're here for, and the ambiance of having a pint while watching the sailboats go under the 5 bridge. The food is probably 3.5 stars, but they get a 5 for service and ambiance. Some tips: Go to The Deck on a weekday, it's far less crowded. Sit on the patio if there's room and you can do it without staring into the sun (bring a hat, just in case). Parking is in the McCuddy Marina parking lot, to the *left* (right is for marina members only). Some of the "standard pub" items are lackluster (like the Caesar salad); stick to their seafood and tacos, which are much better. Also, the vegetarian/vegan options are pretty boring, unless you just want fries, which are great. Warning, though: if you are mobility-impaired, The Deck is probably not for you; the McCuddy Marina involves steep ramps and a long walk on very cluttered piers.

While we were looking at the menu waiting for the server, the hostess brought a dog bowl with water for our dog. I got the 3 piece halibut fish & chips, she got the halibut fish tacos. Both entrees were on happy hour prices. Happy Hour is 11:00am to 5:00pm every weekday. Which is great for a weekday lunch. Fish Tacos were great, my fish was good with nice breading but a little soft and mushy inside. Good flavor though. The Cole slaw was great it was sweeter than most almost tasted like it had a little honey in it. Fries were crispy. It was a beautiful day by the water, with geese swimming and boats going by. All in all a very nice lunch.

We loved Amaro's Table, another restaurant in the company, but Cecilia had a few glitches. First of all...we loved Hanah. She was very friendly and engaging. We don't know if it was her or the kitchen, but our food took too long. When it arrived it was beautiful. Two people had the Benedict and I had the Dutch Baby with a side of sausage. Both were excellent. But, I still don't understand why the accompanying maple syrup is served cold, and not heated?? Regarding the benedicts, the eggs were borderline hard. One person felt the hollandaise was too salty. The coffee delivery was very slow to one of the patrons. The restrooms and the general appearance of the restaurant was also perfect. We were surprised by a complimentary plate of donuts since it was our first visit to Cecilia. These were hot and very fresh. I noticed the tables around us remained dirty and were not bussed. Even if you don't plan to use the tables again, they should be cleaned and set-up quickly. It was just ok, and not a restaurant I will rush back to.

Mid Century Modern kinda feel to the inside which is right up my girls alley. The people who work here are super friendly and professional. When we got there we were greeted and sat right away since we had a reservation. I love trying something a little different. I've never had Carpaccio before and now after trying it at Dame, I'm totally a fan. Light texture but deep flavors due to the shaved fois gras and capers. The Focaccia was really good too. I gravitate to anything that has fennel in it so I might be a little biased. That and love bread just as much as I love potatoes. Potatoes are life after all. Heh When we went we ordered the Late Summer Risotto and the Pork Chop. I admittedly liked my girls dish just a little more than mine. It was super fally. Even though it didn't have any meat, I really enjoyed all the veggies bouncing off eachother in this pasta. I feel like some people think Risotto can get boring sometimes. A lot of times we see the same ole Mushroom Risotto a thousand times. Or maybe it's just a basic one paired with some other dish. I really like that Dame's had a lot of fun things going on within it. That being said don't get it twisted. The Pork Chop was still fire. I love the tenderness and flavors just on its own. I've never been a big polenta guy but Dame's again made me rethink my humanity. It was so creamy. What a nice alternative to the usual mashed potatoes. Salsa Verde is also a big go to when I eat Mexican Food so, paired with everything else we were definitely grubbin. Everything we had is flawless and it just makes it hard for me because pretty much every place we went to in Portland had great food. I can't wait to come back during a different season to try some more tasty meals here!
