Food was good but Indir made the experience so enjoyable we came back every night of our vacation! He remembered our order and was so sweet and you can tell he loves his job and making people happy. Will recommend this place to people purely because of his service! I hope they never lose him working here:)

Located inside the Embassy Suites at Portland Airport, this is one of the very few options for dining near the airport. It needs some updating like the whole hotel, but the ambiance it good. In the lobby, there are live plants and a small waterfall system that enhances the restaurant decor. There are a few tv's to enjoy watching a ball game or local broadcasting. This restaurant is also the location for the hotel happy hour each evening, so it does get very crowded from the cruise ship passengers booked there to the vacationers passing through. In Oregon, it is a strict law that NO children are allowed in a bar area, so it is nice that it is adult only. The menu is good, though a little small in options. We were not really that hungry, so we just enjoyed a few drinks while watching college football games.

Great food and it's right here in the lobby of the hotel! Really enjoyed the top notch service and tasty food. I had the grilled halibut, cooked perfectly and tasty. The Rib eye steak was also done perfectly. Tell the manager the Hawaiians sent you.

This is in the Embassy Suites hotel. The menu is full of fish and seafood selections. Very little for a meat eater. I had the lobster Mac and cheese with chicken instead of the lobster. It came out great! The drink was equivalent to a Manhattan with a slight twist. Still good. See photos.

Granted we only had room service for dessert after a long day out adventuring, but it was delicious. I thought the chocolate was supposed to be lava cake but it was not. Still delicious however, 9/10. The turtle cheesecake was a 7/10. The Ruby Jewel ice cream sandwiches were a huge hit with the kids. The server who brought our food was amazing - 10/10 service.

Ambiance is cool, being very open with a waterfall and creek running throughout. The menu was more scaled down than Yelp menus. We had the Salmon which was supposed to be their signature dish, according to our waiter. The portion felt small for a $43 plate, with too much risiotto to make the portion seem better. I was underwhelmed.

It was wet and pouring outside, we had eaten all week like royalty, and my wife wasn't feeling up to it... so my son and I decided to stay in house to eat. The menu looked decent enough, plus it was Prime Rib special night. The picture of scallops in the lobby looked so inviting. But having stayed at the Embassy PDX for 3 nights already, it wasn't easy to ignore that Waters wasn't drawing a crowd. But I thought to myself that whenever we have dinner out at a Hilton, it's been good. Got married at one! So I told my son I'd be downstairs investigating the Managers Reception. You know, just to make sure the choices of beer were ok. The day before, the Bud Light was flat. Couldn't figure out why they were pouring from a pitcher instead of out of the tap. Maybe they had to run it over from the other bar in the lobby. When I stayed there 10 years ago, that bar held the Managers. Anyway the IPA on tap was good. The munchies provided weren't so attractive, some veggies with dips, spicy pretzel mix and very fresh tortilla chips and salsa. But hey, it's free. So sitting there for 45 mins, I did a in depth study of the IPA, I looked over at Waters and saw like 2 tables occupied. This is at 6:30 or so, prime time for dinner. I really felt like cruising through and checking out their plates. But my son came down and I figured, let's just go, it's gotta be edible. We walked in from the Reception side and were immediately greeted and seated. Very nice staff. Our waiter came and we ordered calamari, a Prime, and the scallops. The calamari came out pretty fast and was delicious. Even though it was served with a drizzle over the dish, it stayed crunchy. Then the mains came out. Nice. The scallops were just a little under done but were seared perfectly. Love that texture. Then we split the prime which was really done well. Personally I like when they offer up some real mans horseradish, but their creamy stuff was ok. The roast itself was good. Overall I found Waters well worth the price. In fact they even had 10% off coupons all over the lobby. Another thing that raised my food radar. You don't usually see that in big hotels. I actually spoke with some of the staff after the meal and expressed that if not for the free grinds and booze 20 feet away, they should be packed. They said thanks but that's as much a ES policy as the free breakfast. Good enough. You know I don't give out 5 stars all the time and this time it's because of the over the top sound of the waterfalls in the courtyard. I was wondering about it and then realized that it is a business hotel and you really can't hear any other conversations around you, so I guess there is a reason. In fact if there wasn't a constant sound, voices would reverberate right up to the top rooms I bet. Anyway, Waters is a go. Especially when you can get a good slab of Prime for $26. In fact we requested a fatter cut since we were splitting it and they accommodated us. Aloha Portland we had a blast.

Awesome service and food! Our waiter, forgot to get his name was wonderful and helpful even when it was almost closing time. BBQ wings - Zane absolutely loves it, a little spicy but flavor was spot on! Pork sliders - Zane said best ever, even the pickles was good! Fried ravioli - Zack said really good and the tomato sauce/salsa really complimented it! Rib eye with fries - boys said really good fries Rib eye was cooked perfectly with wonderful smoky flavor and seasoned just right. Rib eye with mash - rib eye was cooked to perfection, loved the roasted veggies. Mash was okay

Wow. I'm not sure if it was because I was starving and the staff decided to let me have lunch even though it was past the 1:30pm closing time but wow wow wow the food I had at this hotel restaurant was amazing! I was working an event at the hotel and it finally slowed down enough for me to go grab something quick. It was about 1:45pm and I thought perhaps they had closed down for lunch already (that what the sign said) the host saw me though and was like we can accommodate you don't worry ! (Great customer service). I said I was in a rush since after I eat I have to go back to work and he rung up my order while I waited for my food to come out. I order a Kobe burger with bacon added to it. I asked for medium but when it came out it was more medium well. Overall the burger was huge and delicious!! Meat was seasoned very well. The bacon was plentiful and crispy. The white American cheese and the garlic aioli was very good and the fries were nice and crispy. I scarfed down the burger it was that good ! Usually im not a fan of hotel restaurants but this was a damn good burger. I also appreciated that they were able to accommodate me even past the lunch hour

Took our out of town friends with a short layover at PDX to make a reservation. And, especially on a hot day, just lovely to be in this place with big windows looking at the river. The staff was great- busy with dinner service but still providing plenty of attention. We had a table of six upstairs which I recommend for a nice view even if you aren't seated at a window table. Noise level is near perfect- buzzy but no one needed to shout for normal conversation and that's with a pretty much full house. We may have skipped this place for years but clearly many people don't- crowded and we used valet parking because their parking lot was full. They don't charge but as downtown city people we tip. And, of course the food- perfectly fine, ample menu with lots of choice, fish forward but a couple of meat choices for silly people who avoid fish, shell fish. Everyone cleaned their plates except me, the remains of my crab/ shrimp salad, under $40.00, loaded with crab and shrimp came home for in a box for a more than ample lunch. And, boy do I love a restaurant that boxes up the food rather than dumps a take-out container for me to do it. Really nice classy touch. I rate the food as well executed with a full range of standard choices, nothing ground breaking but good solid plates. This is certainly the place for entertaining a party- everyone will find a sweet spot on the menu in a casual but still feels like a treat meal out. So there is clearly a reason that people love this place.

The Alaska Roll seemed like a basic crowd pleaser type roll like a California Roll, nothing super special but tasty. The Tako Yaki was perfection, loved it! Would order again and again. Mid Century Modern kinda feel to the inside which is right up my girls alley. The people who work here are super friendly and professional. When we got there we were greeted and sat right away since we had a reservation. I love trying something a little different. I've never had Carpaccio before and now after trying it at Dame, I'm totally a fan. Light texture but deep flavors due to the shaved fois gras and capers. The Focaccia was really good too. I gravitate to anything that has fennel in it so I might be a little biased. That and love bread just as much as I love potatoes. Potatoes are life after all. Heh When we went we ordered the Late Summer Risotto and the Pork Chop. I admittedly liked my girls dish just a little more than mine. It was super fally. Even though it didn't have any meat, I really enjoyed all the veggies bouncing off eachother in this pasta. I feel like some people think Risotto can get boring sometimes. A lot of times we see the same ole Mushroom Risotto a thousand times. Or maybe it's just a basic one paired with some other dish. I really like that Dame's had a lot of fun things going on within it. That being said don't get it twisted. The Pork Chop was still fire. I love the tenderness and flavors just on its own. I've never been a big polenta guy but Dame's again made me rethink my humanity. It was so creamy. What a nice alternative to the usual mashed potatoes. Salsa Verde is also a big go to when I eat Mexican Food so, paired with everything else we were definitely grubbin. Everything we had is flawless and it just makes it hard for me because pretty much every place we went to in Portland had great food. I can't wait to come back during a different season to try some more tasty meals here!
