This company has cost me thousands of dollars trying to transfer my loan to a buyer for my property! They have the most ridiculous and senseless rules that block people from transferring loans, even when buyers are fully qualified. Thanks to their idiotic policies, I've lost TWO buyers, both approved for a home loan, but somehow couldn't get approved for a $158 per month loan--what a joke! We even went as far as trying to add someone to the loan, and still, they refused to approve it. Their practices are not only worthless, they're downright unethical. On top of all this nonsense, you can't even start the process until the house is in escrow, which is just another roadblock! And then, they have the nerve to tell you to reapply after 30 days, knowing full well that delays like this sabotage the sale. My aunt got a home improvement loan from Mosaic and when I noticed several negative marks on her credit history from Mosaic and a debt collector company (Concord), I informed my aunt. She kept insisting that she always paid on time and sometimes more than the minimum so one afternoon, I sat on my computer and created a worksheet detailing all transactions (interest, late charges, statement details, payment dates, amounts etc...) and to my surprise I realized 1) Her account had been sent to collections even though she had paid MORE than her current charges. All the negative marks on her credit has reduced her score by 80 points 2) Each month when the statement is sent, the due date is PRIOR to the statement date (wtf!!!) 3) Sometimes, two statements from two separate months have the same due date. Her Oct 22nd and Nov 22nd statements had a due date of Oct 15!! I'm happy to provide documentation. I've kept meticulous records of all of this and so far their agents have not been helpful Please avoid at all cost!! read more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH MOSAIC IN ANY WAY!! Had a solar loan through them that we were assured multiple times was transferrable if we sold the house. Three years later, we're getting ready to sell and move, we call and confirm we can still transfer the loan as long as the buyer is approved. A few months later, we're under contract and the buyer has agreed to assume the loan. We contact Mosaic to start the process, as they instructed, and we were told that they had "recently" changed their rules and no longer are allowing the transfer of loans......less than 10 days from closing the sale of the house. According to their legal rep, "On page 21 of the contract, (buried in a paragraph), they reserve the right to change the conditions of transferring the loan at any time". Had no choice, had to cover the remaining cost of the loan at closing, leaving us with less than half what we were projected to make for our next house. I can understand changing business needs, but as a company, there should be a grandfather clause for customers who've already established the loan under the pretense that it could be transferred. Terrible and horrible in every way possible! Tried to purchase a home that had Mosaic solar on it.....the transaction was complete including 100% approval for the home mortgage. We only needed to complete the Solar Loan transfer and despite having good credit and income Mosaic would not approve the transfer....this process took several months (yes months), dozens of phone calls with no change in the outcome. We never ever were able to speak to a senior manager (was told they don't take phone calls). This caused us to lose the house because the solar lien has to be transferred. Not only did we not get the house, the person selling the house lost a deal, and he also lost the house he was purchasing. This company sent my solar loan to collects over a year after my husband passed away claiming they where just informed of his death. Meanwhile I called them right away to have the contract switched to my name over a year ago and since then payments where taken out of my account automatically every single month. No warning no attempts to reach me just sent to a collection agency and placed a lien on my property. Also they charge a "daily service fee" which amounts to an extra thousand dollars a year. I am a solar contractor and have been in business for 15 years. I have been referring our customers to Mosaic for over 5 years. We do not profit from our referrals, they are done in good faith to help our home owner customers. Mosaic recently charged my company 19% fees for two solar projects we completed that were quoted to us on 10/22/2022 to have 0% fees do to the interest rate being 6.99%. They claimed to have informed us via email of the upcoming changes. We did not receive the email nor did we agree to charge our customers a 19% fee for a 6.99% 12YR loan. This is a classic bait and switch tactic and they have now taken $12,264.04 of our hard earned money. Mosaic should be ashamed of themselves and are not an honest company to do business with. read more

Good thing I was watching Netflix while I was on hold. I got mad so I called from another phone while my phone was still on hold. The other caller politely gave me the information I needed and transferred my call to another department. Guess what... I'm still on hold... Expect to be on HOLD...For a minimum of 50 minutes. Hey if they put you on HOLD, don' be surprised if they forget about you. My solution is to call again on another line and if they put you on hold on that line, you now have two phones on hold... Double the opportunity. You will be paying twice the AMOUNT if you stick with their payment plan! Yes, If you plan to go with Mosaic after all the payments you would have paid double. For example the solars cost 38,000 after 20 years of paying the payments, I would have paid 68,000. YEA think about that when you stick to these guys. I suggest getting it refinance with your home. ALL Title Companies know this company for being BAD! Yup, All of them. Just ask your near by title company about MOSAIC SOLAR and they would tell you how bad it is. Why all the BAD Reviews on GOOGLE, Yelp, BBB, and everything else? Because they don't help. Simple. Well I see that I am not the only one who cannot get my account credited after my bank sends the check and comfirms that it has been cashed. After three ACH transfer payments to Mosaic my checking account was hacked via ACH transfers for the first time in over 29. Mosaic is the only company of which I have ACH transfers taken out of my account. Is it just a coinsidence that only my checking account was hacked and not my savings, or other accounts at my bank? So I had to close my checking account immediately and notified Mosaic of such immediately after, which was 3-days prior to my next payment due date. I had to open a new checking account and the bank issued a check to Mosaic, which has been cashed, but Mosaic is blowing up of my phone telling me I have not made my payment, they have raised my interest rate because they consider this payment late and they cannot find the cashed check, despite the fact I have given them the confirmed bank information that the check has been cashed. Mosaic has opened a case number for me, but if you respond to their mail with the case number you get back a canned response with a new case number. I'm being sent in circles. Next they are going to ruin my credit because their left hand does not talk to their right hand. The sad part is, that I did not have a choice as to what solar lending company I used. Had I known of Mosaic's terrible reputation prior to getting solar installed on our home I never, ever would have signed the contract. Furthermore, I have discovered that if I want to pay the loan in full at this time it will cost more than the initial fee. I have filed a complaint with the BBB, of which there are hundreds. Just a word of advice: Shop lenders for an APR that might be more competitive than Mosaic. After the fact, I became aware that my hometown credit union would have financed this project for a couple points less than what Mosaic offered. Angel (the person who answers reviews and messages on Yelp) and Anthony (in the loan department) are literally the ONLY 2 people who deserve a pay check. In fact, they both should get a raise because they're the only ones who do their job and have any customer service skills. The reason my review is still one star, is because of the lengths I had to go to in order to FINALLY (in the eleventh hour) get my issue resolved. We almost lost our buyer, and it was because of the lack of follow through done by anyone at Mosaic. Once Angel and Anthony were involved, the loan was transferred to our buyer finally with no problem. Unfortunately, there is no direct line to neither Angel or Anthony, so I definitely wouldn't take my chances on this company ever again. But seriously, Angel and Anthony deserve recognition and they both should teach a customer service class to every other employee at that company because they're the only ones there who know how to treat customers. read more

I just sold my house and transferred the loan to the new owner, Mosaic told me my loan was transferred and we were all good. Turns out by telling us we are all done they really meant they needed one more thing for the transfer to be completed but we were supposed to call them and find that out. No one contacted us after telling us the transfer was done to let us know they needed one more thing, they just charged us on the card they kept on file. My realtor and the title company both have said this is the absolute worst loan company they have ever worked with the employees don't know why the heck is going on 90% of the time. All I needed was a hard copy of my contract showing the address to which the solar panels are attached. When you sign into your account, there is no mention as to where the solar panels are located. The support people were kind and courteous, but seem to lack the problem solving skills needed for this simple request. Still waiting to complete my loan transfer. It has been 17 business days (M-F). Just waiting on the Engineers to "release the feature".... for some odd reason they just can't do that on a daily basis? They're still working in batches. We have the technology to do that now , incase you haven't heard (e.g DocuSign,Apple Pay, PayPal etc.) I saw that you can even buy a car online, and they will deliver the same day. In the meantime... my weekly fees have been accruing, and I can't close on the house I'm purchasing. THANK YOU, I love wasting money! Here are some favorite excuses when I call: 1. He's away from his desk (that's their go to) . 2. He's on his lunch break 3. He's on break ( this is ten minutes after he should've returned from lunch) 4. They're in a meeting. 5. They're traveling ( which may be true... possibly to and from his numerous breaks and meetings) Sometimes I've called to leave a message to call me back at his convenience, knowing that he is not at his desk, just to save the person from having to put me on hold. I am writing to document the last chapter in this loan saga. As others have mentioned, you must allow a LOT of time to pass with Mosaic if your pay-off or loan transfer is done in the process of selling your home. Well, our home sold on May 1, 2019, and the Mosaic loan was paid in full through escrow. I did not receive a notification from Mosaic that it was paid. The credit-reporting bureaus have not received notice. In fact, they have not received any loan updates from Mosaic since December, 2018! Other reviewers here have mentioned a similar experience. Months expire before customers' solar loan pay-offs are sent to the credit bureaus. The customary window is 30 days. I emailed a detailed letter this morning to loanservicing@joinmosaic.com. Worst experience yet with a solar company! I am an agent for a seller transferring a loan to the new buyer. I have done solar transfers many times. I cannot even begin tell you just how inept the process has been so far with Mosaic. Never have I ever had a worse experience transferring a solar loan. My advice? Mosaic? Don't do it. You will regret it. Pretty much one or two employees know what they are doing, but most do not. If you email them what they ask for they will reply with a different case number...BUT you definitely want to get just one case number, otherwise you are truly f***ed. Today they called both me and my co listing agent to congratulate us on our purchase of the solar that we are actually selling for the seller. DO NOT get a loan with Mosaic. I went with Semper Solaris due to the fact they are a veteran owned company but unfortunately they sent me through mosaic for financing and Mosaic is unprofessional and unethical. I needed to speak with a manager and the customer service representative Alex would not transfer me and would not let me hold for a manager and after about 5 minutes of me asking to be transferred he hung up on me. The way they treat veterans who have served our country to fight for our freedom is appalling. My promotional period ended in July but I got no notification of the promotion ending and the only emails I received were telling me my first payment is due August 2nd. I was a few days late in making the final payment (since I thought it was due August I thought I was paying it off earlier than the actual due date) and Mosaic will NOT honor my request and they are making me pay approximately $3,300 in interest. I have pleaded with them asking in good faith to release me from paying the interest since I honestly thought my payment was due August 2024. My father is a veteran and the way they have handled this situation is so very sad. read more

I was told when I was signing the loan that there will be no lien on my property. According to the email they sent, it seems they also stated they do not put a lien on my property. They claim to have put a lien on the equipment, but in reality, they put a lien on my property without my permission. Now I am trying to Refinance my house and they are trying to extort $250.00 dollars from me just to get the Lien on my property off temporarily and put back later. The lien should not have been place on the first place. I contacted their customer service. Oneal, Customer Service Rep, who was rude and very unhelpful told me there is no lien on my property, but he would temporarily lift the lien for $250... WHAT!?!?! How can you lift a lien that you say doesn't exist?!?!?! I was so frustrated I asked for manager or supervisor. He refused to let me talk to any of his superiors or give me their contact information. They took a lot of shady deals from Solar Titan. I really got screwed by them with a solar system that never worked to this day never worked. And I was told by solar Titan and one of the Mosaic crew said I will not have to pay a dime until I was solar panels were up and running correctly. I called and talked to everyone I thought I needed to talk to to make sure of this because I didn't want to get a lemon and pay out the nose. And to my demise solar Titan is under scrutiny and lawsuit from Tennessee and Kentucky the state of. Mosaic is also been known to take shady deals from other companies and this is one of them.
