    Room at the inn

This inn was in an ideal location. It was clean, well stocked & staff were amazing. Very close to several restaurants. We had a room at the inn, so breakfast wasn't included. We bought breakfast one morning & it was great! We loved it here!

First time visitor to Bar Harbor. I was visiting a family friend for her 98th birthday and looking for a B&B within close proximity to her home. I came across The Moseley Cottage Inn and Motel.. I ended up screwing up my dates of stay and arrived a day after my original reservation. Owner's, Pam and Scott, were very welcoming and quick to accommodate and help me with my situation. Due to my screw up, I had the chance to stay in both the Motel and upgraded to a B&B room for the second night!! Both rooms were extremely clean and more than I hoped for! Fresh homemade cookies and pastries placed out for snacking throughout the day! Walking distance to nice shops, restaurants and parks. Definitely would recommend The Moseley Cottage Inn and Motel to anyone visiting Bar Harbor. Can't wait to go back!!

This place is great for a quiet get away from the hustle and bustle. The inn is exquisitely clean, beds are warm and comfy. There was even a fire log in the fireplace every evening for a nice wind down after hiking Acadia! Delicious chocolate chip cookies are available in the lobby right next to the do-it-yourself coffee machine (great - so many B&B's enforce the coffee at breakfast rule - irritable inn-mates!) The only complaint I have is the bath room next door to our room, Jordan Pond Room (or Room 3) is separated only by a door. If your neighbors are noisy, as our were the last night of our stay, well....we hear every word about Bob at work and his trials there. Yes, we heard the rest as well, but I will not write it here! Would stay here again, would recommend!

    Breakfast on the front porch!

Review for the Moseley Cottage B&B Exceeded my expectations!!! Positives: - Amazing breakfast - Super clean - Wonderful staff - Character - Perfect location Negatives (all of which are to be expected in an older home): - limited plug ins - sink faucet too close to wall of sink - third floor walk up

Nice B&B. Clean. Deduct one star for rude desk staff and NO MICROWAVE ANYWHERE. Come on people, it's not 1959. Spend a little money.

We stayed on the 3rd floor in the Beehive Suite. It was a bit of a trek going up and down as many times as we did, especially with heavy luggage, but we loved the room and the view!!!! And we never heard a single other guest during our stay. They have a great HVAC system that keeps the third floor very cool. And the bed and pillows were very comfortable. There is a parking space for a car for every room. When we arrived, we got a thorough welcoming from Matt. He showed us on a map some suggestions of where to eat. The inn is an easy walk from the town and about a five minute drive from the entrance to Acadia National Park. We didn't partake in breakfast, but saw many others enjoying it. They have a beautiful deck with plenty of seating, and Adirondack chairs in the yard to enjoy the stars. They keep the lights and music on all night, so no matter when you arrive home, you feel comfortable and safe. The only thing that we missed was access to ice. There is a tiny machine in the breakfast room, but that only makes enough ice for about 3 drinks for the whole place. We had to buy ice at the Circle K every day and keep it in our cooler in the room for our water bottles and cocktails. If you ever travel to Bar Harbor, this is the place to stay!!! Best view ever!!!

There's so much character and thought placed into designing every nook and cranny of this Inn. The front desk lady was very friendly and accommodating. Our room was quite small - barely fitting a queen size bed in the room, leaving minimal walking space. Our bathroom was also very small. It had a toilet, a small sink, and a very narrow shower. We didn't mind the size of the room because we spent most of our time hiking around Acadia. The staff at Maples Inn was very kind and shared some of their favorite hikes and their tips and tricks into finding the best experiences. The lobby also has a few snacks that are perfect grab and go for the trails. Their breakfast is also tasty, delicious and cooked on order! One thing to note is that they have 2 small, gravel parking spots on either side of the inn. They will also provide a parking permit for your car that will cover street parking during the dates of your stay at the inn. During peak season, I can only imagine how hard it must be to find parking nearby though.

(The 4th one was from Cadillac Summit.) Our room was spacious with one of the most comfortable comforters I've felt. We had a keurig machine, microwave, and mini fridge in our room. Appreciated the heater in the bathroom. Loved being greeted by the geese family on property in the morning and afternoon just outside our balcony. Our balcony had a couple of chairs with a table. We noticed the room beside us had a couch and bar stools in their balcony. While our balcony had cobwebs in every ceiling corner (lots of spiders on the railing), we were still able to enjoy the majestic sunrise views. They serve a continental breakfast every morning at 0700. Mid-day they serve charcuterie, cookies, fruits with refreshing infused water, tea&coffee. By far this was the most serene accommodation we've had. Calm and peaceful. They provide Adirondack chairs overlooking the bay. Friendly staff~ Brad at the front desk was kind in printing our Cadillac Sunrise pass for us & greeted us every time we passed the front desk. The hotel is less than 8 minutes from the Waterfront and about 10 min to Acadia National park depending on which entrance you use. All in all would return and recommend.

The breakfast was very good with many options to have before heading out for the day. All of the egg dishes were outstanding. They also have a shuttle service that you can take if you want to go out for dinner in town. This was our first time to Bar Harbor and Bayview but it won't be our last.

The inn is a cute, quaint little house that feels very warm and homey. Our room had a bed with a giant wooden bedframe and the amenities were clean and simple. We got a pair of super comfortable robes too! Now, let's talk food. Every day, you go downstairs into a cute little parlor/tea room. There's always a sweet option and a savory option, and everything is made fresh in house. I mean it when I say these were some of the best breakfasts I've had in my life! Pancakes, waffles, French toast, breakfast quiches... always with a healthy side of fresh fruit and some carb or meat. The pillows smelled like they hadn't been washed. The bed wasn't level. The mattress was lumpy. We did not sleep ... maybe two hours. 4. The bathroom had a shower. Because of my handicap need to have my wife help me into bathtubs so I elected not to shower. 5. You would think that for $380 they could afford something better than Motel 6 soaps. Very cheap.
