Located on the corner in the old Ruddell's Smokehouse shop, they have some big shoes to fill, and I was happy to see this business giving it a try. Service was quick and friendly, and the burgers hit the spot. These are classic smashburgers made from fresh beef, topped with sliced cheddar, grilled onions, pickles, and sauce on a brioche bun. (Lettuce and tomato are extra.) The burgers were delicious! The only miss for us were the fries -- a bit limp and not quite as crisp as we like. Cool spot on the beach. Great set up for selling burgers, tacos and fries. Nice and simple menu, really good prices other than the fries. Has a cute little dining area in the corner that my 4 year old really wanted to eat at. They were friendly when we came in and the service was pretty quick. Food came out super fresh and looked great. Basket of fries is pretty pricey at $8, but it is a good portion. The fries themselves though, not very good, stuck together weird flavor and poor texture. Burgers were a great size and looked good. Definitely glad we got the lettuce and tomato for $1 more since the burgers were overcooked and dry. Maybe that's how smash burgers are supposed to be? Neither of us was thrilled about our burgers or fries. But the burgers are a really great value, especially if they can maybe cook it less. read more

Ordered a double burger, tallow fries, and grilled cheese. The burger was exactly what I was expecting and completely ON POINT! One of my top 10 and the #1 of the smash burger style. The fries perfect as well. I reluctantly deducted 1 star because they really just phoned in my wife's grilled cheese. Just a reversed hamburger bun (which NEVER works for a grilled cheese) and the cheese wasn't even melted. Even I couldn't choke the thing down. Very disappointed no one has reached out to me about my order from last Saturday, 4/4. We placed a large order ($82.50, order #95) online and walked to pick it up in Cayucos. They told me the online system had been defaulting to Morro Bay and i had to go there to get the order. Unfamiliar with that location (since I am not from this area) the time it took to get there, plus gas prices and receiving a cold and inedible (the fries and onion rings were packaged together and all stuck to each other) left me very frustrated. Went there today on a Saturday and was not impressed. I could smell the hamburger when I was ordering and was either the smell of grass fed beef or green beef which they did offer for an extra price. There was about 10 people ahead of me and I waited about 45 minutes for a burger and fries. I asked for salt for the fries and they didn't have any. Someone else asked for ranch dressing and they said they were out. Six hours later and I still have the taste of that beef in my mouth. I think though it might've just been grass fed beef which has a much different taste than grain fed beef and I don't really like. I don't think I'll go there again. There wasn't even anything special about the hamburger. The price was good though. They also only have three tables to sit and eat at so if you want to eat there plan to take your food to the beach or somewhere else to eat. read more

If they cut the burger's salt back by like 1/3 and updated their buns, it would have been 5/5. Well, that seems a bit steep for what that is, compared to a bun. But we ordered it anyway. What did we get? A smashburger patty on a bed of shredded lettuce - the same as would have gone into a burger on a bun. Maybe the crew in MB needs a bit more training, or maybe this is their "wrap". Where do I start.....8. Bucks for a "box" ie handful of greasy tasteless fries. I showed them that they were cold. I see the cook roll his eyes when I asked if I could have fresh ones. What you get is completely ala cart. I'm talking a burger and bun. You pay for anything on top of it. I mean anything on top of your over salted dry smash burger. Just make a burger and charge for it. Really bad service. They'll get the tourist business for a bit. Probably a long hard winter for business etiquette like this. Good luck I hope you get better.
