Tap in below: Our waitress was previously a Nevadan so we felt right at home with her welcoming smile and kindness. We were celebrating my fiancée's birthday and asking for recommendations and she asked her tables for local recommendations.... Nothing says home grown and home cooking like hospitality that's spread from table to table. Simply impressed and just an overall solid experience that changes the way you view hospitality. Plus.... Her recommends to on the zoni was the perfect way to start our day! -Zoni omelette: 5/5 One of my favorite bites of the vacation, one of my favorite omelettes I've ever had... poblano pepper crema neutralizing a savory machaca marinated beef that's savory, flavorful and just very well paired with smoky Monterrey jack cheese and a well crafted egg dish. While sounding heavy, was met with a light with a fresh pico de gallo and a well crafted crispy but fluffy hash brown. The dish is very well crafted by the restaurant and is a must have if you're in the area. I'd put this omelette in my top egg dishes to get. Very pleased! -biscuits and gravy 5/5 -drop biscuit.... That's all that needs to be said. Pockets of crispy, flaky, fluffy, and just delicious bread that's paired with a rich and creamy gravy. Peppery and flavorful while being light and emulsified to the biscuit to give you a traditional taste of a good breakfast classic. Very well executed. (Only available on the weekends) Simple and just an amazing experience. From the service to the food. I'd go out of my way visit this restaurant and you should too!

My friend and I were looking for a spot to grab a quick lunch and catch up on some business, and…read moresince we were both in the mood for a diner, we ended up at Uncle John's American Diner in Goodlettsville. The Vibe: We arrived a little after 2 p.m., knowing they closed at 3, so the team was already starting to wind things down and close off part of the dining room. The place looks and feels exactly like you'd expect from a classic diner, simple, casual, and comfortable. It was clean, which I always appreciate. The only small quirk was that our booth table sat a little off-center, so we had to do a quick adjustment, but no big deal. Service: Our server looked like he might've just started, honestly, he couldn't have been more than 12 (lol). You could tell he was new and nervous, but very polite and trying hard. When I ordered the breakfast croissant, he quickly said they were out, and another server jumped in to help clarify part of my friend's order. Despite the small hiccups, everything was handled kindly, and he was genuinely nice. Food & Drinks: I went with the Breakfast Burrito, and it was good -- nothing to write home about, but solid. The scrambled eggs were super fluffy, which stood out, and the salsa had good flavor. My friend ordered the Cowboy Eggs (two eggs over crispy tortillas with refried beans, cheese, and avocado). He felt the same -- decent, but standard. He also mentioned his coffee wasn't hot -- more "end-of-day warm," lol -- which fit the late-afternoon timing. On the drive back, he said something didn't sit quite right afterward, which was unusual for him. Overall: It was fine for what it was -- clean, friendly, and typical diner fare -- but nothing that would make me want to stop in again, even if I were close by. Date of Visit: November 2, 2025
