My toilet was leaking so I called MVP. The man was awful. He said he couldn't fix it without putting all new piping in. Fortunately, my local plumber, who I trust, was back from vacation. He just installed a new valve cause the washer was corroded on my old valve. Cost me 125.00!!! 15 minutes and no more leaks. Most Valuable Plumbers aka MVP is a TOTAL RIP OFF!!! Stay clear of them!! We had a plumbing emergency with water pouring through our ceiling and called several plumbers. MVP was the quickest to respond and had someone out early the next day. The first employee was really nice, but charged us $1800 to replace several pipes that he said were broken. After he replaced everything he said it was all good and left. The next day my daughter went to take a bath and water started pouring through the ceiling once again. We called them back and they came the next day. The plumber that showed up said the previous guy was unexperienced and didn't know what he was doing, but that he was a master plumber and would fix it and all it was was the tub overflow that needed to be switched out. After a bit he said it was all done. Well, a couple weeks later my daughter takes a bath and it starts leaking again, so we had to call for them to come out and fix it for the third time. This time the new plumber said both of the other guys did it wrong, but he'd fix it this time for good by simply putting silicone to seal the overflow connection. So, I was charged $1800 for a simple overflow connection. Before we had to call the third plumber for the leak in the ceiling we also had a clogged pipe from our washing machine, so we thought we'd give MVP one more chance and have them fix that as well, but I should have known better. This plumber said that our pipes were old under the house and they needed to be replaced and it would cost $2200. I asked several times if he guaranteed that was the problem and he said he was absolutely sure it was. So he changed out the pipes, but when he was all done the drain was still clogged. He then said the real problem was one clogged joint behind the washing machine and it needed to be replaced and it would cost $400 more. I said I would not pay that because he guaranteed me that changing the pipes would solve the problem. He then said he would just take care of the problem and not charge me any more, but I still ended up paying $2200 for a job that should've only cost $400. Overall, I was clearly taken advantage of, charged way too much for relatively simple jobs, had 4 plumbers whom all didn't really know what they were doing, and I'm left wondering if the final work will actually hold up. Even though the employees seemed nice I cannot recommend MVP for any plumbing needs. read more

MVP recently replaced my cast iron pipes--a job I'd put off ever since we bought our home two years ago. But the time came and MVP honored the quote they'd given me a year earlier, even though prices have risen everywhere. Manny and his team were courteous and professional throughout the 1.5-day project. Manny seemed to throw in a couple of extra replacements for free just because he was already underneath the house and the holes were open. After they left, we noticed that the U-bend under the sink was dripping. The team was back around within the hour to fix the issue, even though it was a Saturday night, which I find impressive. If I have one criticism (just to show you that this is a real post) it's that Manny is a perfectionist. He advised replacing my main clay line which would cost thousands more. I can't afford that and so I've gone with the more affordable annual hydrojetting option, which may not be perfect but others say will make do. But if I ever do come up with the cash, I would likely hire MVP again, especially because Manny told me he would match any other quote I got for the job. read more

We live in a 100+ year old house that had much of the original plumbing and many issues. Most Valuable Plumber did several large jobs for us in a two-week period, including conducting a pipe burst of the original clay pipe, shooting a liner to the mainline, replacing original cast iron pipe under the house, and installing a new tankless water heater with hot water recirculation. I would highly recommend Most Valuable Plumber for the following reasons. First, they use technology to diagnose problems and take the time to review all the videos and photos with you so that you understand the issues and work needed. We observed that the pipe to the street was filled with tree roots in two places and the cast iron was corroded, leaving us with little water flow out of the house. Second, they use technology to schedule appointments, send reminders, let you know when team is on the way, and to sign estimates and pay invoices, which you can download for your records. Third, after digging large, deep holes in the yard to access the pipes, they left the property in excellent condition with hardly a trace that they had been here. Fourth, we had different teams on various days, and EVERY employee was friendly, professional, and hard working. Fifth, we had several supervisors, including Fernando, Christopher, Nacho, and Alex. Guy showed up on time, told me that to repair my issue, they would need to hydro jet the line. So it went from $59 to $395 without 5 minutes of time. Ok. The guy can be here soon to do the service, ok. An hour later the guy ran the jet, found a clog & said they need to cut out a piece of pipe, then come back to jet it again. Now it's $1,900!!? Wtf! Both guys worked for literally 30mins if that. On a direct clean out line. Manny and Renee were my technicians. They did an excellent job with a complex repair to 60 ft. of my main sewer line which involved hydro jetting to remove multiple root balls and installing a fiberglass sleeve inside the existing pipe to create what is essentially a new pipe that will be free of roots for a warranted 25 years. They were careful with all the work which involved mixing of resin, on my driveway, and pouring it into the fiberglass sleeve, and left no stains. They were available immediately and being unable to run any water in my house, I was very appreciative of their fast response and availability. There was some unforeseen work that needed to be done and I thought the quote for the added work was a bit high, but overall their price was reasonable and competitive. I highly recommend them for complex plumbing jobs. read more

Our sink in the kitchen was plugged so I saw in the Home Improvement guide your advertisement for $33 clean out special and the $395 hydro jetting, I also really like the fact that if there was something more than regular that I needed done we could get a 20% senior discount at this time every dollar counts! Yesterday I had Anthony and he has a wonderful personality, he's clean and he's honest. He didn't try to BS me or oversell me on anything, he laid out the situation and gave me his best advice. I felt really comfortable with him and so we made arrangements for Jay to come and do the hydro jetting today. Apparently he was super busy but he took the time to call me well in advance to tell me he would be running late, I appreciated that. When he came he got right to work and just like Anthony, he was clean and neat and super polite. We had a problem with the hydrojet at first not going in, even though it was after dark and getting cold he didn't rush the job because he wanted to make sure he got everything thoroughly. He even had to look under the house to make sure there was no problem down there. I was super satisfied with your company and most especially with your employees!
