    Great lunch deal

Finally came in to try their falafel lunch special. It did not disappoint. The pita was hot and fresh filled with falafel, hummus, tahini, some spicy sauce, and a chopped salad that tasted mostly like tomatoes and cucumbers. The falafel on its own was crispy and tender inside with a lot of flavor. This special came with fries and a drink making it difficult to be able to finish everything. Very generous lunch offer. I'll be back to try shawarma next time. Staff were great and overall a great first experience.

I wanted to try Mother Falafel because of all the rave reviews on here. Unfortunately I think I came on an off day. There was only one poor worker who was so overwhelmed. There was a long line of customers and she was the only one there doing everything. I almost left but decided to wait, but 2 people did leave the line because the wait was just too long and the one lone worker looked kind of frazzled and came off somewhat rude at times as a result. That said, I ordered a shawarma pita and falafel pita, and they were both hastily made. I don't think they were as filled as they could've been, and the taste was nothing too crazy. I think they would've been much better if they were better staffed. I also didn't like that there's an extra charge if you use a credit card. Soda machine was out of order . Sauces are not unlimited. While it wasn't bad, I think I'd prefer going to other nearby restaurants with similar fare.

We had a really poor experience here. Arrived at 6:30 on a Friday night with some friends. A few tables were full but it wasn't busy. My wife and I placed our order with the woman behind the counter, which was two falafel wraps and an order of fries. Our friends ordered the same thing. The woman told our friends (but not us) that it was going to take 17 minutes to get our food with no explanation which was bizarre considering it wasn't busy at all. Their POS was broken (which they did not tell us, we figured it out ourselves) so we had to wait to pay, and even after we waited for ten minutes and finally paid, we still had to wait almost ten more minutes for our food to come out. Mind you there were four people working behind the counter. When our food came, we were immediately disappointed. They forgot an order of fries, so we had to wait once again. Not only were the wraps small-ish, they were made terribly. The falafel "wrap" was shaped more like a cube than anything. The ingredients were distributed unevenly, to the point where some bites would be all cabbage or all carrot with nothing else. The wrap was folded over so many times it was falling apart and it became impossible to eat. The tahini sauce was a bit bland, too. Staff need to be trained. It's clear they do not know how to properly make the food they serve. We won't be returning.

The pita is made fresh it is so good!!!! The fries were well salted and crispy! The pita sandwich was good the chicken was under seasoned but the toppings made up for it. Great healthy spot for a quick lunch. The service is amazing they are so nice

My husband and I love this place! Everything tastes super fresh. The staff is always very nice and helpful. You definitely get our money's worth - no skimping on the meat! I'm not normally a falafel fan, but I'm OBSESSED with theirs. So much flavor and great consistency. The inside of the business is pretty simple, but I do appreciate that everyone always looks very very clean!! Haven't had anything here I didn't like!

I ordered food from this restaurant before and never like that. That's first time the food is called and the sandwich doesn't even know how to make it that guy work there. And we called the manager to talk to her. She's not even want to fix anything or any helpful. She say I can give you a refund We not coming back here anymore

Came here for the first time today and man was it a happy experience. Location is super clean and food was delicious! I got the falafel plate with everything and bite after bite I was happy. My fiancé got the chicken kabob pita and normally I don't eat chicken cause I think it's dry and bland, but ooooh. It was juicy and had nice crispy ends. Def coming back again. Gabbie and Mosen where the two that helped me out. Super sweet, patient, and attentive.

Food was so good I had to take a picture in the middle of eating! 1st this place is always really clean and service is A+, staff is very helpful and kind. The food itself is of good quality, I've never had an issue here. Everything is fresh and served with care. This is one of my favorite spots for kabobs and will be returning!

This my fourth or fifth time here. This place is awesome. Chicken shawarma wrap is a 10/10. Everything so fresh and tasty. Baba ganoush is great also. Staff is super nice. Again, highly recommended.

Ask the Community - Mother Falafel

Hi, is the meat halal? thank you I'm advance

No this is an Israeli restaurant serving Arabic food. They only provide kosher food.

    Do you serve halal/kosher food?

No this is an Israeli restaurant serving Arabic food. They only provide kosher food.

Does this place serve halal meat?

No, it's not halal. Just an FYI Ruthi M, halal wouldn't double the price, but kosher meat would.

Do any delivery services deliver your food?

Yes. They have postmates for sure and I believe 1 other.

Is this place Kosher? My brother is Orthodox, can he eat here?

Mother Falafel is not a kosher restaurant. For good kosher restaurant you can try Jerusalem grill, Vegas shawarma, sababa and there are few more

This place is marked as Vegan on Yelp - but is Mother Falafel 100% vegan? Including the pita bread and the shawarma?

I think they mean vegan options ie the falafel pita or wrap, not the shawarma which is chicken.

I looked it up on google and it had thousands of reviews so I had to give it a try. the steak shawarma plate was out of this world. and I don't say that lightly! first of all, LOOK at the amount of sides. fresh pita, hummus with the toppings on it, yellow rice, cucumber salad, slaw, olives, pico, and crispy fried onions?? it felt like a whole feast for one plate. every single side was fresh, and it was a fun experience eating everything. the shawarma itself was seasoned perfectly. but the thing that really sent me was the garlic aioli. I would genuinely buy a bottle of it if they sold it. and the rice was so good as well! 10/10 spot- I can't wait to take my parents here as they only eat halal! will definitely come back

I went from sha-hot-a paradise outside to this inside…read more Shawarma Paradise is a nondescript shop in Little Ethiopia. For those who might get lost trying to find it, they're pretty much right across the street from Burger King. After I finally located them and walked in, it looked odd since it felt like almost behind the counter, but you can just walk around to the dining room and the front of the counter. I was recommended a couple of choices and went with the Black Angus Steak Shawarma as a Laffa wrap ($24.50). The employee had me walk over to the Chipotle-esque assembly area after and then walked me through the choices. I recall getting hummus, a mild green sauce of some kind, raw sumac onions, fried onions, fried eggplant, cucumber, pico de gallo, and purple slaw. Then the cool stuff happened when he offered to let me sample some sauce and then get multiple sauces on the side. The curry mango amba is some really challenging stuff that resembled something I've tried at some Indian lunch buffet ages ago, so I'm glad I didn't get it on the wrap. The creamy BBQ aioli (kinda like a sweeter fry sauce, I felt), dill & roasted garlic mayo, and tahini were all better options, the former going especially well with my included side of fries while the dill plays a great supporting role and the tahini just does its thing. I sat down and got to the actual wrap, and it was delicious. The laffa is fluffy and thicker than I thought it might be; it ain't a lavash, that's for sure. The steak is pretty tender, often has that char from the vertical rotisserie it was carved from, and free from chewy bits. It has a nice warming spice rub which you can get more easily before starting to experiment with sauces. All three aforementioned choices worked. Overall, it isn't cheap (especially if you don't have cash on-hand to avoid the surcharge), but I enjoyed it. I also got a bottled lemonade ($4.95) of some sort which they've imported from Israel. It had a little more actual lemon character than American brands, and I kinda plowed through that thing pretty quickly. I'm kinda curious whether the mango, peach, or grape options would have also worked. Shawarma Paradise is a very good, albeit pricey option for steak shawarma and likely for other protein needs. Check them out if you get the craving, as I'm not confident that there are many if any better spots around.

I've had Greek food that was more flavorful. Greek food tends to be a bit pricier than others so I have a higher standard. I can brag on a few things. The restaurant was very clean and cute. I loved that they had TVs and we could watch the World Cup game that was on. You order your food up front, pay, grab your drink, and then sit down with your number. They bring the food out to your table. I love the CocaCola freestyle machines. Unfortunately this one didn't have any diet or zero options other than Aha sparkling water. That was a bit disappointing. They do have canned Diet Coke along with some interesting Greek drinks in a refrigerator. I ordered the gyro plate and my son got the falafel gyro. We both got the feta fries. These are really delicious. There was so much feta and herbs on the crispy, coated fries. My portion was great on my gyro plate. The salad was pretty but the Greek dressing was very mild and lacking in flavor for me. The same with my gyro meat. It was just okay. When you mix beef and lamb, it creates this delicious flavor and I just didn't get that here. The tzatziki was very bland to me. It was almost just straight yogurt. My son's falafel pita was very good. It was soft in the inside with the slight crisp on the outside. It was a large size pita and filled up my teenage boy. The desserts sounded delicious and the baklava in the case next to the registers were phenomenal looking. We didn't make it that far to get to have dessert. Since my son loved it so much, we will be back. I will try a different plate next time and hopefully be able to get dessert also.
