    Fish N Chips

Located in the new(ish) Wild Ride taphouse on the east side of Prineville, Wild Catch is one of four food trucks in the brewery's lot. It's also their second truck, the other being at Wild Ride's Redmond brewery. - Fish & Chips: Billed as 'English Style,' they're not but Wild Catch's version is very good. Love the fish and the fries.

YUM!!!! After reading the reviews we decided to stop by Friday night for some fish-n-chips while passing through. Made fresh and worth the wait with friendly service. This place is serving up fabulous fish-n-chips! The batter was incredibly thin and crunchy. The fish pieces were cooked to perfection...glistening white chunks of cod. The fries were fabulous as well. Big and crunchy, with a very tasty coating and creamy inside. Honestly some of the best fish-n-chips I've had since living in Oregon. Not to mention a very reasonable price compared to many other restaurants and trucks. Bravo...I'll definitely be back!

Got the fish and chips with extra tartar sauce. The fish did not disappoint! It was light and flavorful. Not too much batter on it. The wait was only 15 minutes and the fries were extra crispy! Definitely recommend!

Pretty solid experience. This food truck is located at Wild Ride Brewing. We ordered the korean wings and fish sliders. Both were pretty solid. The price is maybe a touch high on the wings, but they were pretty tasty as well. I would say for sure its worth a visit if you are at the brewery.

Fish & chips, 5 shrimp & delicious cold slaw!

Food is good , just charging restaurant prices for a lunch truck quick bite is kind of nuts . Especially considering the portions.

The menu is most pizza and a small selection of handhelds. I got a pizza and wife got the smashed burger (with a gluten free bun). Both were great. The pizza sauce was mild in flavor, allowing the flavorful crust to shine. And, there was plenty of garlic (was the crust rubbed?). A full selection of house beers and cocktails. The service was good. You do order at the counter. We can imagine coming back here.

We had a sampler of beer and both decided that Thorns and Udders stout was the best and had a glass of that. Wish this beer wasn't a seasonal and local thing, would love to be able to get it year round and local to us. Cauliflower was good but not as impressionable as when we had it a few years ago in Sunriver. They have a patio that is really nice that dogs can go to and it has a nice fireplace out there. They also have a kid area inside for younger kids to play while parents are socializing, this did make it a little louder but it was all good still. The service is decent, but it is counter order, they will bring food to your table.

We really don't mind waiting for our food! However, our experience today left a bummer taste in our mouth regarding the service. We ordered three meals (salad, fries, burger, fajita bowl) and were waiting patiently when a group of two sat down well after we ordered. One of the line cooks literally came out of the kitchen, took their order directly, went back, made their food, and brought it out to them. They were very clearly friends or family of the employee. While I totally get wanting to take care of your people, their food came out 10-15 minutes before ours did. Using your position in the kitchen to completely skip the line and delay paying customers who ordered ahead of time just isn't right. We don't mind a wait, but we do mind blatant favoritism disrupting the ticket flow. Otherwise, our was really attentive, and the food was delicious.

The 7th Street location in Redmond looks like an older log cabin, with a large patio out front. It's conveniently located to downtown Redmond, easily walkable from other restaurants, bars, and breweries if you're staying nearby. Going inside, I quickly realized this was a friendly local place where people come and the bartender knows your name and order. I ordered two flights on my visit; all the beer was great. They have a number of core staples, plus a bunch of small batch beers you can read about on the chalkboard near the door. The bartender was immediately friendly and welcoming; I said it was my first time there and she told me it's the oldest not-for-profit brewery in Oregon, donating all their post-bill/payroll profits to local charities. I was also here at lunch time and ordered maybe the best tuna melt I've ever had - rich, buttery, and delicious. They have lots of beers packaged to go as well. If you're doing the Bend Ale Trail, this is a fun stop and worth venturing to Redmond for if staying in Bend.

Stupefyingly he did not know what a Cajun was. After I repeated the question of who is influencing the food, he guessed it was his boss. Drove to Redmond and tried it anyway. Ordered the fried oysters and the peel and eat shrimp and crawfish. $30 Food came up quickly. Here's the review : I'll start with a good. Six decent size shrimp. Freshly boiled. Tender. Good spice. Next were the oyster niblets. 10 of them. Ok. Looked like they were prepared by Sysco in a factory in Wisconsin. Decent but not great. Dipping sauce was good. Saved the day. Six juvenile crawfish with no flavor were tough, dry and flavorless. Wife and I each had one and didn't.want any more. We pushed ourselves through another one, but I was offered the last one. I said you couldn't pay me to eat more. Rule of thumb if you work for somebody, you better get some cheerleading training and be excited about both answering the phone and telling people about your place, and your offerings. Rule two: people are not stupid just cause they're a long way away from where good food is prepared and served. At the very least you shouldn't plan on that as a business strategy. $15 should get you a pound and a half if not, 2 pounds of nice spicy hot crawfish with corn and potatoes. If we divide the price of the shrimp and crawfish and half, you should've at least gotten a fair 3/4 lb serving of delightful Mudbugs. And don't tell me you're too far from Louisiana to get fresh crawfish. I do it all the time. These are frozen Chinese crawfish. Recommendation: keep moving. -A Born & Bred Cajun
