I was looking for the crackers I forgot to get at the Hollywood store. I ordered them direct from the brand, but if I want the plain ones, cheaper here. This one's cute and organised well. I saw the Vaca chips and was intrigued. If I'm honest I think bc of the price. I found a couple items on the clearance rack and wrapped it up. Once I was gone I looked at my receipt and realized I was overcharged for my cymbiotika pouch I had found marked down in the back, and the sticker w the price on it was gone! I called and was underwhelmed w the response. No sorry, just we can't help you tonight, call tomorrow. To be fair they'd just closed but still. The staff in Hollywood is always so accommodating- I've had issues being charged the wrong thing before. I called the next day and got Genesys. Total sweetheart. I told her what happened, she said it was embarrassing lol. Things happen, I get that. I was more off put by the response when I'd called the night before. She told me to come in no problem. Thankfully I had to come back one more time, so I didn't gripe about it. When I went back I found a fun plum drink I'd never seen, and over the years I've been shopping here I'd never tried one of their $6 burritos, I figured why not. I did asada. They're not as close to me so I don't hit the tonic bar like I would but they do make solid, reasonably priced drinks. Hadrian did the price adjustment and didn't make it a thing or call the manager for approval. I appreciated the ease of that. The burrito is tasty. I mean you can't get much for $6 anymore, it'll fill you up. I ate off of it for a couple days. I'd come back bc I cone for certain things. I'm glad everything worked out the way it did. 7/25/24 First time here, curious about what it is all about. It is certainly a very neat & organized store/market. Aisles have good spacing & well coordinated. I've never seen fruits & vegetables so beautifully arranged like this before. Pricing, as one would expect it to be, being organic & all, is well above average. For instance, organic cherries were $5.99/lb, not exorbitant but you would find it to be $2.99/lb at Stater Bros, maybe even $3.99/lb. Quality is good, I tried a cherry, it was sweet & crisp. It is a small market with products you wouldn't normally find at regular supermarkets. Would I shop here, maybe on the off chance that i am nearby. Curiosity satisfied, it is pretty inside though. I particularly enjoyed their Tuna Wrap, which tasted yummy and fresh. They had a wide selection of kombucha that would make any kombucha fan go wild. I've been going to this OG HB store for over 30 years. Used to be great-actually once a special place. Strange that after years of substituting their whey protein for vegan powder in their special smoothies, they say don't accommodate anymore. So really, that's excluding vegans! What about those who are allergic to eggs??? Also, they've changed their menu the past few years and it's lackluster. Some of the younger people who work at the juice bar/kitchen could be much friendlier to customers-- they don't look like they want to be there. The ones who have been there a long time working the cash register are cool though--- makes my trip worth it when I muster up my energy to go there. When I heard that there was going to be a mother's opening super close to me, I couldn't help but be so excited!!! I love everything about mothers especially because I adhere to a gluten free diet and this store has so many safe, delicious options! But my favorite thing that mothers does, is make homemade smoothies and shakes. They have so many options and you're allowed to build your own shake/smoothie with whatever they have on their menu. My go-to smoothie is a banana, mango and strawberry smoothie with almond milk! The smoothies come out the perfect consistency, they taste so delicious and another plus is that they're better than the smoothies at Jamba Juice! The service for the smoothies is not very consistent. There's been times where I'm there, waiting for my order and no one else is there,or in line and it still seems to take 10 minute or more for 1 smoothie. I usually use this as an opportunity to walk around the store to see if there's anything that catches my eye - there usually is. So I am usually pretty grateful the smoothie isn't done right away, or I wouldn't have time to walk around the store and peruse everything. The ambiance is very clean, very well lit and the staff is super attentive to anyone in the store. They don't have a little sitting area inside of mothers to it down and eat, but there are plenty of Chairs in front of the marina where you could sit down and enjoy a meal or smoothie/shake from here. I highly recommend this location because of its location and the employees are all very helpful and seem happy to be there, which makes a huge difference in itself. read more

The only saving grace for this location was the cashier, I had a lovely chat with her, otherwise don't bother coming here. I ordered a Goddess of Greens juice from the juice bar and was very disappointed with the service and the juice. Dark Haired Girl behind the counter could've cared less about customer service or quality of the product. I've been to this store a few times. It's tiny compared to their other stores which could be the reason they tend to be short staffed. I came in for a couple things and there was a steady line with only one checker. Jacy was amazing in how she handled the flow despite being single-handed. Came here to get something sweet for nani today. I picked up a vegan marionberry pie because it reminded me of portlandia. The pie was freaking amazing, sooo bomb. Fyi, these berries taste just like a sweet blackberry but it looks like a raspberry. Amazing. Four stars though because there's this older woman there with shoulder length gray hair and she's always uptight. Doesn't welcome anyone, doesn't say anything at the register and it's super awkward but at the same time it's kind of funny how ridiculous she is. Just a very well-educated, fount of knowledge, of plant-based 'Medicinals', as they used to be called back in the "Olden Days". He learned at his father's knee. His Father was one of the few Well-Respected Naturopaths, back when most city-folk didn't know what Homeopathy was. Most, here, in the U.S., still, don't even know the difference! Take it from "Encyclopedia Robtanica" when I suggest you ask Kevin to share some of his Encyclopedic knowledge about plants and their properties.... Just don't ask him for "suggestions" &/or "advice". That, too, was a lesson "well-learned" at his father's side. He's happy to provide the info... (And, maybe, share some bibliographic, or or other library/ "mixed-media" references...) But, the Decisions are completely Your Own Responsibility! First, staff is very helpful. Very! (The good stuff: hot foods, soups, sandwiches, salads, desserts, fresh fruits and veggies, nice wine selection, nice selection of staples! The average: deli selection a bit slim, meats ok but not amazing. The ugly, Don't eat the fishI know it's from SM Seafood, but I can't tell it by flavor or smell. Phew! Again employees great! No consistency in food and drink production. I like the store, but the food they produce is never the same, and sometimes so bad I end up throwing it away. I am a long time customer of 3 locations and it's always been that way. I wish they would take cues from other, more successful, food production companies and produce guidelines, recipes, checklists, and training to ensure quality, but they don't and probably won't. This has got to be one of the most aesthetically pleasing and beautiful market I have ever seen! My colleagues and I needed to grab a fast lunch, and they have a large variety of freshly prepared cold and hot foods. I saw that they ran out of tuna sandwich, but a very nice staff told me she will check the kitchen to see if they were making more. She later came to me with a fresh tuna sandwich. There are also a wide variety of vegan options and they sell fresh bottled juices too! Staff were so friendly and welcoming! read more

Called Huntington Beach location because Signal Hill location hasn't answered their phone in the vitamin department in 2 days (I attempted several times within both days to no avail) So I decided I would drive out of my way, subject myself to extreme traffic if the HB location had my item in stock vs the unknown because SH won't answer the dang phone for a simple inventory question! Ok...got Kevin on the line in the vitamin dept HB...OUTSTANDING customer service! Not only did he check their stock, but when asked he was able to check the inventory at Signal Hill and tell me they have the product I'm looking for to help me avoid the inconvenience. He provided a tip also on the two ways the item might be stocked or located within the store to ensure I find it! Mothers...Give Kevin a raise! And train employees at Signal Hill location how to conduct business and provide service. Their performance is terrible! read more

Mother's Market reminds me a lot of Whole Foods. They have fresh cut fruit and salads in plastic containers, a juice bar, and other prepared cold foods, such as desserts and sides. They also have a rack of fresh hot whole chickens, but no freshly made pizzas or a hot food bar. Compared to Whole Foods, the store is much smaller with narrow aisles. It was a traffic jam on Sunday. I'm happy for the locals of Sunset Beach that they have another option for grocery shopping. read more

This is just a review for the alkaline water that costs $1.50 a gallon. The taste is seriously awful. It tastes like plastic or like it has a chemical in it. To pay that much a gallon and have it taste bad is disappointing. I love mother's market but this is one area I think they could improve. Something may be wrong with the machine or the filters they use. I actually think tap water tastes better. I buy alkaline water at other stores and the taste is much better and it's cheaper. Hopefully they can figure it out what's wrong. read more
