I just ordered a few trays of appetizers so that it would just be easy to eat finger foods, and there was plenty for everyone to get full and leftovers. The garlic noodles and Da Bomb were super delicious. The noodle dish came in with huge portions, with different types of veggies and toppings. Tried ordering my usual tonight using the online order form and picked it up. Everything was wrong. The online order form gives two separate options: No Soy Meats and No Tofu. I selected the No Soy Meats because I only wanted Tofu. I received only noodles, no tofu, no veggies, nothing. Tried to call for a partial refund and they pretended like they couldn't hear me twice. Terrible customer service. The person at the counter told us we could sit, then proceeded to take our order... from behind the counter. Never even came to the table. But when other patrons came he ran to greet them... definitely felt looked over. We ordered anyway... $46 worth of food. Hey we're vegan. It's hard to find food, and we were hungry. By the way, he was on a very loud FaceTime call the entire time we were sitting there. About 5 minutes in, he asks if we need utensils. Didn't really think much of it until I realized he never asked if we wanted to dine-in or to-go yet he's packing up our food and it's just sitting there getting cold while people that came in after us are getting food served to eat there. After a second I asked and he says, " I asked if you wanted for here or to go" and I politely said, no you didn't! Always has great food and service. Interior is very clean and nice for dine in also. They have many vegetarian and even vegan choices, all which you would never think are vegetarian. I love their vermicelli bowls with the lemongrass "beef". They do a great job of marinating the soy proteins and it honestly looks exactly like meat. Also the garlic noodles are another favorite. Back again and this time we ordered the tomato noodle soup, chicken pho and two sushi rolls as they are so amazing and everything was great as usual. But what was weird was the tomato noodle soup was not suppose to be spicy and it came so spicy that I coughed initially because the spiciness caught me off guard and then it just burns but not sure why it made me want to eat it more lol. It went really well w the tomato soup base. We asked the waiter later about it and he claims the chef did not add anything spicy in it but yet my lips still burns as I'm writing this review. It saddens me as I really want to come back and get this again lol. Chicken pho was also delicious as well. One of the top three vegan restaurants that I've been to! The vegetables in each dish tasted fresh and organic. I loved the egg rolls that came with delicious lettuce wraps, cilantro, and mint which was a yummy compliment. The sushi roll app was so good, I loved the sauce, I don't think it was typical soy sauce, but tasted very light with the wasabi which went well together. The buffalo chicken was the star of the show and was really tasty with the homemade ranch. I enjoyed everything about the dining experience from the kind and gracious server to the calming meditative music to the lovely vermicelli with beef meal. The beef tastes and feels like beef, so my experience with the same dish I've had with real beef was seamless and tasty, no sense that anything was missing. The fish sauce was flavorful and complimentary to the cucumbers, carrots, lettuce, noodles and beef. For a small, strip mall store, it felt spacious and accommodating. As far as vegan food goes, their food is unbelievable. Delicious and as flavorful as the real thing. We always start with a sushi roll and the veggie spring rolls. We also love the Shaking Beef, Salt & Pepper Tofu substitute Chicken, and Kung Pao Chicken. Garlic fried rice is a must instead of white or brown rice. Sometimes it's more of a soup day and the pho is phenomenal! It's perfect. Top your order off with a Thai ice tea or iced tea and you're in good hands. I'm no fan of veggie, vegan food although w a family background of a sister, a brother n both parents died of heart attack I should be a vegan. I take statin so I can live to eat! Yeah! No big range to choose from, it maybe good for a healthy heart but it's complicated, every other Indian I know is heavy from eating too much starch n ghee (butter) most vegan I know including my daughter have to take a lot of vitamins n supplements, I can't do that life is too short. It's frustrating come thanksgiving who wants to eat a Tofu TURKEY? lol my daughter that's who! I'm still amazed my 13 yo grandson is 5ft9 so tall eating leaves!! But he would have been 5ft11 n be more muscular. I love love the salt n pepper crispy tofu, I ate most of it as I don't like sushi n it's weird the tofu sushi. eat vegan about twice a year, i remember when I forced myself to be vegan for 2 months I was anemic, there were just not enough nutrition n almond milk is for the birds!! I tried vegan pho, all the vegan soups were like water so they are all expensive. I was in China n knew from reading English papers, all the shrimps had chemicals added to it to make it crispy sometimes even past deadline shrimp, the fake vegan meat had too many chemicals to make it taste like the real thing. All the additives are potentially carcinogenic. I have been to all, I mean all vegetarian restaurants in Little Saigon, they are all lame this restaurant is exceptional I'll post a video on Tik Tok n they'll get more customers fr my followers. I heard about this place from my student's family who is vegetarian. My bf and I decide to give a shot. Oh my Goodness!!!! The food is delicious. It only comes with large size $13. They are not stingy with the vegetarian products. I love vegetarian hams which have been my all time fav since I was a kid. (half of my fam are vegetarians). The little complain I would have is the soup a bit sweet~ It is flavorful. Not gonna lie, I was very tempting to go back today while typing this review. My bf got vermicelli bowl with lemon grass tofu which is also gluten free. He tasted fresh mint and the tofu is well done with flavor. They also provide vegetarian fish sauce of course and it is top notch. The service was good. We asked them what other choices can be gluten free and they patiently answered us and asked for answer if the waiter wasn't sure. I can't wait to go back to try other dish! I was staying around the area for work and wanted something quick for lunch. I didn't even notice until I arrived, but this is a completely vegan restaurant! I thought, what the heck, might as well give it a try. I ordered their spring rolls and stir fried beef with brown rice. Thai tea was complimentary and included with the weekday lunch special. It was very nice for one of the employees to help me carry the food into my car because my hands were full. Customer service was five stars! Let me tell you, I couldn't even tell by looks that it wasn't actually meat. It really looked like the real thing, even the texture and taste could have fooled me! 12/27/21 It's a mixed review for me, some if the dishes were truly exceptional while some were just so so. My sister lives in HB & states it's one of her go to for garlic noodles. I, for one, am not a vegetarian or a vegan & would rarely gravitate towards these types of places. She wanted me & our other sister to try it. It was a great choice. We were seated right away, it was a slow Monday evening at 6 pm next to a plaza adjacent to Massage Envy. They offer done in only and to gos, about 5-6 red booths a few more that can accommodate about 25-30 more people if you put all the tables together. A young server greeted us & offered drinks who returned shortly thereafter to take our food orders. My sister recommended fresh egg rolls & fried vegetable egg rolls, garlic noodles, fried tofu & mixed vegetables. The fresh egg rolls arrived within minutes and those were sensational & refreshing. The rice wrapper was soft & chewy, & the vegetables inside were fresh & crunchy, it came with a dipping sauce that paired well with everything. Sister was right, it surprised me how delicious they were. Next, the fried egg rolls...oh whoa & wow, watch out, piping hot! The mint & cilantro along with the crunchy leaves of lettuce that it arrived as sides were a nice addition to the dish. For me, this was the star of the show! The egg roll wrapper was super crunchy & it accentuated the freshness of the veggies it wrapped. This also came with a dipping sauce. You could've eaten it without the sauce but why would you?! The fried tofu was next, these looked like cubes of big sugar squares, also piping hot. Good flavor & seasoning with dome bits of bell peppers, jalapeño slices & green onions, nothing spectacular or amazing but these were good as well. The garlic noodles were underwhelming, not as garlicky as I'd like them to be. These could've been better but good enough. Last but certainly not the least, the mixed vegetables with tofu, also underwhelming, almost disappointing. Would've liked these to have cooked less--or should I say, crunchy & fresh. Too much sauce, it felt saturated with it. i liked the tofu it came with. Service was good, she was attentive and kind.
