I have a KTM 890 Rally that needed the suspension resprung for my weight. I asked Rich at Moto Source if would be possible to respring with the shorter 240mm fork spring and shock coil. Stock WP PRO suspension on the 890 Rally is 270mm travel. Rich researched it, contacted WP, and was able to get the custom parts for this. The suspension lowering and re springing came out perfect!!.  I rode about 70 miles off road this past weekend.  High speed choppy dirt road with huge potholes.  At first I was picking lines to avoid, then I changed lines to purposely hit these potholes and woops, the suspension absorbed everything!  Then I had some deep sand woops, ended up only needing to slow down the rear rebound by 2 clicks in.   Doesn't feel like I lost 30mm of travel at all!  Plus now that its sprung proper for my weight, its working better than before with the longer travel and being sprung to light.  Moto Source such a great job on my suspension. read more

I've recently had my WR450 worked on at MotoSource to correct a carb problem and install a performance exhaust. The carb issue called for installing a JD jetting kit with a setup of jets and needle position for our altitude. I was very, very pleased with the service. They nailed the setup and the WR runs in top top condition. Thank you! Earlier I worked with a nearby shop (RMS) to rebuild and fix the carb issue. An epic fail and a waste of money. They were superhelpful didnt make me feel bad for trying, instead they fixed it really quick, and told me where I went wrong. Offered advice on riding and always answered any questions I have. It's not easy to find someone willing to repair or troubleshoot a 2008 Yamaha Venture. My bike suddenly started having the handlebars wobble really bad every time you hit the slightest bump. Another shop that didn't want to touch it referred me to Moto Source & the owner Rich. They said drop by with it when I could & they would look at it. I stopped by Thursday morning. Rich looked at the bike & took a test drive. He thought my tire pressure might be a little low & noticed I had pretty uneven wear on the tires. Since the problem was only slightly better after putting in some air, I left the bike & Rich said they would look at it next week. The next day, Friday afternoon, Rich called me & said he was pretty sure he had solved the riddle! He had noticed that the two bolts that supported the trunk were missing on one side & when they had twisted the handlebars back & forth standing still, the trunk was wobbling all over the place. They put bolts in, took a test drive, & other than still being able to feel the uneven tires slightly, the problem was gone! I picked up the bike & asked Rich what I owed & he said NOTHING! I said are you sure? He said I'll see you when you need new tires! He had already told me that even though the wear was uneven, he thought I should try & get some more miles out of the tires! Could have easily sold me at least a front tire. I figure he had spent at least a half hour & probably more trying to figure out what was going on with the bike, test driving it & scavenging up some bolts that looked almost like the originals! When you're honest & you treat people right, they"ll come back & spread the word!! I will definetly be going to Moto Source for new tires & any other service I need! read more

I came in today to get my bike checked up. As this has been my first winter here in Reno, I figured that my bike would need a check up since it hasn't been running since November. The guy looked at my bike, gave it some air in the tires, lubed the chain, and checked everything it needed, and told me it was all good. I offered to pay, but the guy said it was all good. Great place to get a tire changed on the down low , but don't expect any kind of tech support or race tuning. Rich jr by no stretch of the imagination is any kind of suspension expert and he basically ruined my forks with some KTECH caps with clickers that do absolutely nothing. I was referred to moto source from a group of bikers. I checked out the yelp reviews and was hopefull that they could diagnose and fix my bike quickly. It's an unassuming building.. that's where the uneventfullness ends! What a shop! Clean clean clean! Rich told me to bring my bike back the next morning and he'd see if he could do a quick diagnoses. We tried this place because we were tired of getting ignored at the larger stores in town. I'm sure glad we did. They didn't have any pants that would fit my daughter in stock but had several options to choose from in various catalogs that would arrive in just a couple days. We did order her some pants that should get here Monday but she already had plans to ride on Friday. One of the owners - Shealy (I probably spelled that wrong, sorry) offered to bring in a pair of her sons old pants on Friday so my daughter could still ride the next day. The next morning we went back, picked up the borrowed pants, bought some new goggles and my daughter made it to her ride Friday.
