A lovely sushi place in Glendale that is a hidden gem to me looking from the outside. Food was very delicious. Uni pasta was the best I've had for a big while. The rolls are fresh and delicious. They also have omakase set (table omakase). Every piece in the set was served together. For the price and quality, it's a great buy. The server was friendly and the decor inside is very pretty.

Came here last Friday to enjoy a small, simple staff lunch. The first thing we noticed was the interior. It was very small and modest but definitely cute and cool. The food was also reasonably priced and definitely worth it. The bento boxes comes packed with food, almost to a point where you can share a box with another person. The rolls were also really good; the fish was both fresh and bountiful on the rolls. The parking lot is a bit cramped but on a weekday, you won't have any problems finding a spot. Absolutely would stop by again for the food here!

Some of the best Sushi I've ever experienced. As good as what you get the best restaurants in Japan. The service was outstanding with the waitress and cooks coming to our table to adore our new 3 month old granddaughter. Highly recommended

Moto sushi is on another level. The sushi was perfection-portions of fish were just right, not too big or small, and the flavors were incredible. Every bite felt like it melted in my mouth. What made it even better was the amazing chef and staff. They weren't just polite and attentive; they actually came up chat with customers, which made the whole experience feel so personal and welcoming. The ambiance was perfect, cozy, relaxed and just the right vibe for enjoying such incredible food. I'm not usually into desserts, but their matcha grilled dish was out of this world definitely a must try! Amazing food, service and atmosphere. I can't wait to come back!

Take out and order two rolls for a total of $18.73. They were very small rolls and very disappointed. Will not recommend. Sorry

I am still drooling over this spot! I can't wait to go back. The restaurant is very clean, and decorated with cherry blossoms on the interior. It's in a random little plaza, so I wouldn't have expected it to be this great. The service was top tier. The waitress, maybe the owner, was so sweet and knew exactly what to recommend. The food was godly delicious. Seriously the fish was great quality, like melts in your mouth. Perfect rice to fish ratio too. Price was reasonable. For sure coming back!

So many of our friends suggested we come here, so we wanted to give it a try for the first time. When you walk in you're greeted by so many kind and sweet people. The inside is small, but cute. Now let's talk about food. Sushi is honestly personal preference. For my husband and I we would say the basic rolls were not good or the best. That being said the pricier sushi (nigiri sushi) was very fresh. The portion size of the sushi is on point, but if you're not used to small pieces of sushi, you will be satisfied but not full unless you ordered more. Over all if you're looking for a spot to impress someone on a first date And show them culinary side of sushi then this place is for you.

This is the best sushi in town. We went here for date night and it was such a great experience! First of all, it's walking distance from my place which is a bonus, and second, everything we ordered was so good! We shared The Moto Trust Me and all the sushi we ate was a melt-in-your-mouth experience with each bite. It's that good. It is a little on the pricey side, which is why the Moto Trust Me is perfect for two. We also ordered a roll and gyoza to top it off.

The food is delicious and fresh. The serive was attentive and the ambiance is DARLING. I'm surprised it's not as busy as it could be.

As an avid sushi goer there's a lot of factors that go into good sushi. The ratio of fish to rice, the quality of the ingredients, and the effort of the chefs in showmanship and aesthetic. This place delivers on every mark! Came here for my grandma's birthday on a Saturday night and they made our experience truly special and warm. The atmosphere is pleasant, the staff are delightful and attentative, and really make this place shine. For anyone who complains about the "quantity", sushi isn't meant to be enormous like most western food establishments. Moto Sushi does one thing and they do it EXCELLENTLY! Much love and success to this local gem

Started off with the Matcha IPA beer (green deliciousness, a bit strong on the hop + matcha so beware), and ordered a few appetizers to start--edamame, karaage, seared albacore with onions, yellowtail jalapeño, ceviche (omg so good), shishito peppers--everything was amazing! And we were off to a great start. We ordered a few rolls, and sushi, and hadn't realized that each portion came with 2 pieces so we definitely ate a lot. Everything was very fresh, and the quality was amazing. As if it couldn't be better, the service was superb! I know it's a franchise, but I've had other ramen franchises just fine, but it might just be the broth and flavor profile for me. I like that this location is much bigger than the others and is a bit nicer as a result and even during the dinner rush there really wasn't a wait and our food came out decently quickly. Service was friendly and fast too. Ambiance is fancier than the other locations with the dark wood and the dimmer fancy lighting. With every visit, I try to get my ramen super spicy since a lot of, not only ramen places, but Japanese restaurants, spicy means not bland (no offense). And this is the same. I got the super spicy and it just tasted like slightly chili flavored ramen. Imagine someone did cook something spicy in the bowl of ramen and then rinsed the bowl quickly twice. I got the tonkotsu ramen with chashu (2 pieces), seasoned egg, green onions, corn and no bean sprout. Pretty oily and a bit salty and again, not a hint of spiciness. Noodles had a nice chew to it at least. Just alright if anything.

Cool & chill, but not completely "lazy bum" vibes. Like, don't come in wearing your pajamas. You could, but why would you do that? I appreciate the darker ambience lit up by the rather groovy neon + purple & dark blue lights. A great, chill date spot, or a relaxed restaurant for sushi aficionados. The fish is incredibly fresh. I especially like that they have a number of selections that I have never seen at other similar style upper-class sushi restaurants. An unexpected pleasant bonus is that a beer is included for only $1 when you order a bottle of Soju. Do yourself a favor: make sure to get rolls that include a variety of fish. Don't get similar rolls with the same protein. Snow Crab Cut Roll - 9.0 / 10 Baked real snow crab = inside Wrapped with soybean paper, house special bake sauce. You have to give major props when a sushi restaurant includes a roll with *real* snow crab legs. None of that fake crab stick / surimi. I wish more places could include real snow crab. The soybean paper is always a nice alternative to the more traditional seaweed wrapper. Forbidden Roll - 8.9 / 10 Shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, cucumber = Inside Topped with fresh salmon, crunch flakes, crab meat, eel sauce, & spicy mayo. If you were only going to get 1 sushi roll, it should be this one. It has the most variety of proteins in 1, single roll. It's not chaotic where the flavors & textures don't make sense. It works & I would gladly get this roll again. Salmon Spicy Scallop - 7.5 / 10 Spicy Scallop = inside Topped with fresh salmon. If you like scallops & salmon, this is a solid choice. Fresh Heaven - 5.7 / 10 3 Assorted fresh fish, crab meat, gobo, radish, + avocado = inside. Wrapped w/ cucumber, oriental goma sauce. The most aesthetically beautiful dish that we ordered, especially with the cucumber garnish + lovely flower. It's nice to know that cucumber can be used to wrap sushi. But it throws off the texture. Maybe it I was on a stricter diet, I may opt for a cucumber-wrapped roll. The fish was incredibly fish. Huge shout-out to Sydney P. + Charles for their warm + personable hospitality. I would happily come back because of Fujiya's unique sushi rolls, but the staff's personality is such a winner. They're truly welcoming & take great pride + pleasure in what they do. I don't blame them. Fujiya is a cool, hip, & swanky (in the best possible way) Izakaya, but it's also not pretentious. The staff here want you to have a lovely dining experience with some innovative takes on some classic sushi rolls.

Making a reservation was very easy, and everything went smoothly from start to finish. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted right away and seated promptly. The ambiance was warm and inviting. The restaurant is a bit dimly lit, but it really adds to the cozy and upscale atmosphere. One thing I immediately noticed was how clean all of the grills were. We chose the AYCE option (around $55 per person), and the pricing for kids was very reasonable. Our 5-year-old was charged a reduced rate, while our 3-year-old ate free, which was a nice bonus for families. The selection of meats was excellent, with plenty of options to choose from. They do have a 90-minute dining limit and a surcharge for excessive leftovers, but that wasn't an issue for us because everything was delicious. The appetizer selection was surprisingly large. We enjoyed the beef fried rice, noodles, a sushi roll, crispy tofu, chicken karaage, and shiitake mushrooms. The crispy tofu turned out to be spicier than we expected, so just keep that in mind if ordering for kids. However, spice lovers will probably enjoy it! The chicken karaage was a huge hit with the kids, especially with the spicy mayo on the side. The shiitake mushrooms were also incredibly flavorful and well-seasoned. We also ordered crispy rice spicy tuna, we loved it too! What really stood out was the service. Every server we encountered was kind, attentive, and genuinely friendly. Instead of simply dropping off food and walking away, they took time to check in, ask how we were doing, and connect with us. That personal touch made the experience feel special. We only ordered water since we had already had plenty of drinks earlier in the day, but they offer a variety of beverages as well. For dessert, we tried the mochi ice cream special--two for $5--which was a fantastic deal. In San Diego, it's common to pay around $5 for just one mochi ice cream, so we were pleasantly surprised. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and are so happy we chose Oku-Niku for my birthday celebration. Great food, excellent service, a family-friendly atmosphere, and a memorable dining experience.
