    BSCR roll and Caterpillar Roll

Friendly staff service was fast and on point. Had the BSCR roll and the caterpillar roll both were awesome. Lots of scallops and the prices are very reasonable. Come and get it!!!!

BOGO 50% off rolls all day! Zono Sushi is tucked away in a small plaza and it's a hidden gem! They have BOGO 50% off rolls all day (excludes the basic fish rolls) and lunch specials. We dined for dinner. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They accommodated my food allergy. The rolls were delicious. We got the Thai coconut which was surprisingly delicious! I got the chirashi bowl, albacore and yellowtail nigiri. All were good. Parking is free for 90 mins in the adjacent structure and $1 every 30 mins after that. Zono does not validate. Will definitely be back!

The staff is very dog friendly! Their outdoor patio and indoors had a really chill vibe to it. We got the baked salmon roll, crispy rice roll, mixed tempuras, 2 salmon & 1 tuna sushi. They all tasted very fresh and nice. The baked salmon roll felt like it was a smaller portion compared to other places but still tasted great and had a cool kick to it. The mixed tempuras had light batter to it yet it was crispy which was very nice. This place is underrated and you should definitely give it a shot!

This was such a chill spot! The server was super nice and even offered us water for our dog. The food came out pretty quickly and tasted great! The tuna and salmon sushi that we ordered had nice cuts of fish. We also tried the crispy rice and liked that it came with crispy onions on top for an extra crunch! The baked salmon had a bit of kick to it and was a ntwist to the typical baked salmon roll. The tempura also came out super fresh and crunchy! I would definitely come back for more! :)

As usual this is my favorite date night spot. Stella and her team are amazing at their service and the food is on point. As you can see from my pics and reviews I like to try different rolls each time. Don't forget to have some sake bombs! Hot sake and Sapporo beer. We really enjoyed our popcorn, volcano (always), protein roll, sizzling caterpillar, spider rolls. All amazing! I'll post again I'm sure.

    Dragon Roll and Hawaiian Roll

Pretty good food with great service. I ordered the dragon roll, Hawaiian roll, baked salmon roll and coconut shrimp. Everything came out fairly quickly and the hot dishes came out nice and hot. The rolls are a good size and so was the appetizer. The buy one get one 50% off is a good deal. This is the type of place where I would come for a casual lunch or dinner. Nothing fancy but tasty food at a good price.

Stopped in randomly for some lunch on a Saturday and left content. The space was clean and service was swift. I enjoyed the rolls and they are all buy one get one 50% off! My favorite item was the Dragon Roll. Everything here is good, not great but reasonably priced. The parking is free for the first 90min. I wouldn't mind coming back here to eat.

I was in the mood for sushi. After a extra work on Sunday, my husband and I stopped in Glendale, to find a sushi. Totally in front of the public park, in the open mall close to Americana. The ambiance is cool, nice, the service is friendly and fast, and the sushi is good! We ordered vagas roll and bento combination. Good portion for two and really good price, $50 with tip. Just water. I recommend this place. Just the Vegas roll is big to pick with the . Rsrsrsrs I made a little mess.

Every time I am I town I make it a point to stop in for a little sushi. The staff is always so friendly and ready to help recommendations. It's always so clean and the atmosphere is welcoming.

The service and food were good. You would have to park in a parking structure most likely if you were to drive. I actually went here on a whim because I couldn't find the other place around there I was looking for and was tired of walking but it turned out to be good! The cilantro albacore roll was different than any other roll I've tried.

We came here a few weeks ago because we had such a great experience when things started slowly re-opening. The safety measures they had in place were and are still top notch. This is one of Glendale's oldest and longtime sushi restaurants and the menu does seem a bit outdated. The quality is decent but with other locations coming up it isn't the highest grade around. The rules are quite simple but well executed and the freshness of the sushi is pretty good. Service was a bit lacking. It felt like they were understaffed. No happy hour but all in all a decent place to grab a bite when you have a sushi craving.

Ambiance: both inside and patio seating is offered. Never had issues finding a seat, but weekends can be crowded. Lively place and good music. The servers here are very friendly and attentive, and pay close attention to their patrons. They always treat you like they just opened the doors and greet you warmly. We've already ordered many of their rolls. I think we've loved them all. I really liked the spicy rolls and the protein rolls. The protein rolls taste great but it's something that not everyone might like. I wish spicy rolls were spicier, but they're great just the way they are. Garlic edamame is very garlicky, living up to its name. The simple spicy albacore and spicy tuna rolls are actually very tasty. Rice layer is very thin and there's overall good balance between ingredients.

I…read moreremembered that someone recommending Haruka while I somewhere nearby and decided to head there. Located in a small plaza, Haruka is a neighborhood favorite, and I can see why. The interior has a modern aesthetic and even on a Wednesday evening, it was packed with a wait. We didn't have to wait too long, but as we ate and had dinner I noticed that it was full consistently. We sat down and they have have a wide array of items on their menu. We went with 3 dinner specials which have a small options (one has tempura, another with a California Roll. and one with Both) safe to we ordered one of each. For Apps we got some Edamame and Kaarage. For Rolls, we went with Rainbow Roll and Catapillar Roll. Starting with apps, the edamame to me was good a touch less salt which was great for my father. The karaage was flavorful with that sesame taste and juicy interiror. To me it was rather small compared to what I am used to, but flavor wise on par. The Rainbow roll is a staple anywhere I go for the first time as that gives me the array of fish with a California roll. The fish was fresh tasting and to me was fine. My slight disappointment was with the Caterpillar Roll, my parents just returned from Japan and the first thing they compared the roll to was what they experienced over there. Not a fair comparison, but none the less I am posting it here as refence as I see the same in surrounding restuarants here. The dinner special comes with Miso Soup, Salad, Protein of choice, and a choice of side (tempura, California Roll, or both). We each got one of the combinations. The Chicken Teriyaki was juicy and good compared to what I normally get from similar restaurants. Overall, a good choice if your simply looking for something balanced. What won me over, was the service. The place was packed and the staff and manager were out there doing what they can, but I didn't hear a single complaint around the restaurant. Not about the wait times, nor the food, and that matters. A small interaction that I happened to pick up, was one of the staff helping an elderly gentleman put on his coat. A small gesture but to me means the world. If they can take a second to do that for him, they really care about your experience. As a local favorite, I can highly recommend this place not just that the food is good, but because service tipped my scale. Mind the place was packed and smiles all around from everyone. I will be back if I am around, I am so glad I was able to finally check this one off my list!

There's usually just a short wait--only a few minutes--and it's absolutely worth it. The restaurant is very clean with a comfortable, enjoyable ambiance. I had the filet and chicken combination, with chicken liver as my appetizer. Overall, everything was good. The chicken breast was slightly overcooked and a bit tough, but I would much rather have well-done chicken than risk it being undercooked. The chicken liver was surprisingly good, especially considering it was only my second time ever having it. The dinner presentation was nice, as always. A bit cheesy, but entertaining. Service was somewhat lacking. I asked for water twice and never received it, and eventually had to flag down a server from another table. We also requested to-go containers and never received those either. I will mention something that did not affect my rating, since I understand this is simply how the restaurant operates. If your party is not large enough to fill a station, you will share a table with another group. As I mentioned, the family seated with us had two small children, one of whom cried for most of the meal. As anyone knows, the sound of a crying child can be quite piercing and obnoxious, so it is just something to keep in mind. All in all, it was still a fun experience, and we will definitely be back.
