We recently won a rental experience for the "Dash for Dylan" charity scavenger hunt. MotorToys generously donated a rental as the grand prize for the event. We utilized the rental on June 21, 2025 and it was an absolute blast! The unit that was previously allocated for the rental had been sold, and the staff graciously upgraded our unit to the next level of SxS up. We chose a trail side drop off option where they trailered the unit to and from the shop, which makes it super convenient. Definitely recommended. After signing waivers, getting fitted for helmets and goggles, and going over some general safety guidelines we had an amazing experience all provided by the MotorToys crew. I would totally recommend renting, getting service done by, and working with the crew at MotorToys in Cle Elum to anyone in the future! Our guide Bryan was fantastic - we rented a Can Am Maverick for a guided tour and it was epic. The area was absolutely beautiful - epic views, beautiful forest, and overall just spectacular. We really got to rip up the trails and let the Can Am loose in a multiple spots - that thing can absolutely fly and the ride was surprisingly smooth. We took our 2 young children and it was really great. I highly recommend for anyone looking for an awesome off road adventure - even families with young kids. Motor Toys is the perfect place to sign up for an adventure in the hills. I knew I wanted to rent some sort of off-road toys, but I wasn't quite sure what exactly. They were extremely friendly on the phone and all of them were very pleasant in person. I feel like I can be difficult sometimes because I always have so many questions. They were open to all my questions and went beyond my customer service expectations(which is rare). They truly appreciate their customers and I can tell they love what they do. I ended up renting a utv day 1 with the guided tour and coming back the next day for another tour with the sport side by side. Well worth the price and the guides(Scott) was really cool. read more

Weekend away in Cle Elum decided to go snowmobiling. Made reservations online and called. We had a change of plan so we called again to cancel few snowmobiles. Got to the venue between 9-9:30 as that's what we were told. Checked in and they didn't update our reservation. Thankfully they were still able to accommodate us. They have a very manual check in process and are very unorganized. After check in we were asked to wait around to leave for the area where we would be snowmobiling. We waited till 11 as they were running behind with the volume of riders coming in. Which was understandable but nothing was communicated to us till we asked. Instead of hanging out in the cold we could have grabbed coffee etc. finally we followed the lead to the venue. The ride was fun, but felt short on time. There were multiple breaks and stops but it felt we were just killing time. We had few slow riders which caused numerous delays and felt the 2 hour ride was stop and go with a lot of wait time. The area they take you is very pretty and great for pic taking. If this place had a better process and more organized I feel they would be more successful in what they are doing. read more

My husband and I have experience riding, but it was SO much more enjoyable to have the rental company bring up the sleds to our destination. They make it ridiculously easy to go on an adventure. Not recommend this place to any group tours with members who haven't driven snowmobile before. We rented two snowmobiles for 4 person and I shared one with my partner. So initially my partner was driving on the first half of the tour. The tour guide did give my partner some time to get used to the steering. Then at the second half of our tour, it became my turn. I haven't driven the snowmobile before and also didn't practice for even one minute. The tour guide assumed we can still drive as fast as before without any practicing. Because of the time limit, the tour guide didn't want me to drive anymore. He said we were running out of time, so he forced me to give up my chance. Here are a list of things I think they could do better 1. Let every driver earn and practice in the beginning of tour. Do not assume every one could drive as fast as the tour guide without practicing. 2. Do your own time management right rather than let customers pay for your mis-management. Leave enough time for people to have the second half of tour rather than rushing and asking new driver to give up their chance. ----From a customer who spent 4 hours including time driving from Seattle to this place but actually just drove the snowmobile for 1 minute. read more

Poor experience with this outfit. 1) Their training was not adequate. 2) They sent us on what they admitted were ungroomed trails, which the forest service had not maintained. The ones that were maintained were fine, the ones that were not resulted in multiple snowmobiles overturning at slow speeds that day. 3) They blame you when things go wrong. They charge an exorbitant amount for a small plastic repair part with no accountability or proof. 4) The owner calls you at home when you dispute it, telling you that you shouldn't be renting a snowmobile. I've rented ATVs, Snowmobiles, and Jetskis several times and I don't believe this unprofessional company should be in the business of renting them to customers, actually. read more

Last winter a group of us rented snowmobiles. It was for most of us our first time riding on a snowmobile. The staff was terrific and made the experience so much fun. The ride was incredible. Plus, after we finished there were snacks and hot beverages provided by the company! It was a wonderful cap to an amazing experience. Jake, their mechanic, did a great job on a complicated moped repair and came up with a very inivative solution to what otherwise would have been a big problem. They also picked up the moped from my house as part of the service. Everyone who works here is super friendly and I highly recommend this local Cle Elum business. read more

What an outstanding adventure! Our guide was wonderful and exceptionally patient. He gave us great instructions to have a successful ride and we had plenty of pit stops for beautiful photos. My wife and I went with another group of four guys and we all got along great which made the adventure even better. We had one incident/ medical emergency and the guide kept a cool head and got everyone out safely so the guy could get medical attention. Can't say enough about this place except I can't wait to come back in the winter!!! read more

This was such a GREAT experience!! From the moment we checked in they made us feel so well taken care of. They had extra gear if you aren't prepared enough. The shuttle ride was great and driver was very entertaining. The ride was absolutely gorgeous and the guides were so attentive. Our group rented three two person snowmobiles from Motor Toys during Christmas eve. One of our group member ended up in the hospital, I believe in part due to negligence on Motor Toy's side. Further, they absolutely scammed us on the damage fees for the ATV that was damaged in the roll-over. Issues: - Not for beginners. They never asked us if we have any experience with the snowmobile. They literally assumed that we are experienced drivers. Most of the time our group was way behind the guide and even yelled at our group for riding it slow which was really pathetic. Even when one of our group member had the accident guide was way ahead and didn't help us initially. Our other group members helped and removed the snowmobile from the injured person and then the guide came back. This was not at all expected. Really frustrated!!! - Limited safety equipment provided. They give you a helmet and gloves. That's it! Everyone else we saw on the trails was wearing padded clothing, neck braces, etc. I believe better safety equipment would have saved our friend from ending up in the hospital. - No how-to-use or safety tips provided. They kindly brought the ATVs to the trailhead, but they did not tell us how to ride the machines, much less how to ride them safely. They just dropped off the machines and left. - Limited trail information provided. They told us almost nothing about the complex trail system that they had brought us to. First and foremost, they did not tell us that there would be other riders going in the opposite direction. Further, they did not tell us about the hand signaling system we were supposed to use for communicating safely with other riders. We had to figure that all out on our own. I'm just glad we didn't have a head-on collision! Overall I would not recommend Motor toys to anyone given that they don't have proper instruction set for beginners, guide we had with our group didn't like the beginner drivers and last the overall trail is not at all well maintained(accident was caused by a small snow stone that was there on the trail). They would rip you off with thousands of dollars for repairs. One more thing is they don't have the option of insurance for the snowmobile whereas at lot of other places where my friends rented snowmobile they were also provided with the option of insurance for snowmobile. I am pretty sure that motor toy guys would be claiming these money from the insurance but we are not provided with the option to purchase the insurance for the snowmobile which is another way of them trying to get money in the name of small damages to snowmobile. I wanted to give 0 starts but that is not an option :( read more

I will add that they told us before we started not to worry about small cosmetic damage, like scratches. They clearly did not feel that way afterwards. In sum, Motor Toys needs to make some major changes to their rental program before I would recommend it. We had an epic time yesterday out with Scott. He took my husband and I and our two boys out for 2 hours and we had the best weather and most amazing time. It was the highlight of our mid winter break!! The pace, the tour, the views - everything was fantastic! The convenient shuttle service to the drop off and getting warm with cider and hot chocolate and snacks galore afterwards was such a fun treat! We did a groups snowmobile tour and had a great time! It's two hours (or more) on the snowmobile but our group was quite large so probably more like a 4 hour outing. They do a great job of getting everyone geared up and to the snowmobile area by bus. Guide was awesome, beautiful scenery - and they gave us some time to let'r rip! Over all we had a blast! Only thing was we were at max capacity so took a bit of extra time to get everyone caught up. 30 people on one tour is quite a bit but honestly went very smoothly. read more

My husband and I did a 4 hour private ATV rental and were super impressed. The service was great & we had so much fun! It was awesome to not have to go as part of a group and have such a large surface area to get to roam around. Trails were clearly marked and we felt safe at all times. Terrain was well kept. I took my Quad into Motor Toys (a while ago) for an oil change, and about 25 miles later, my Quad blew out all of the oil. Now my Quad motor has to be rebuilt for about $2500. When I took it back to them,their initial story was that the oil ring on the oil filter had failed, then when I reminded them that they had done the recent oil change (their fault), then their story changed to the O-ring on the oil filler tube ruptured (not their fault). I cannot prove who did what because they did the oil change and the assessment of damage (after the fact...my fault for taking it back to them). My neighbor also had to have his engine rebuilt after they changed his oil. I had used Motor Toys extensively prior to this, but now take my motor toys to Webb Power Sports in Ellensburg, where they are more thorough. read more

These guys are the best! We stayed at Suncadia and booked a snowmobiling tour with MotorToys through the concierge - it was worth every penny. They picked us up from the lodge, the driver was friendly from the start and the vibe was just great from minute one. They have a really organized set up, drove us way up to where the snowmobiles and trailer were. We had most of our own gear but for those who don't, they had snowsuits, boots, everything you'd need and unlike a lot of places they didn't charge extra for any of it. They helped the group get fitted for helmets and gave a brief but informative overview of how to drive the snowmobile. There were 8-10 snowmobiles in our pack, I just rode on the back while my boyfriend drove and loved every second! regretfully I didn't get our tour guide's name but he was great. Definitely knew the terrain and was good about making sure the last person in line ( a man with his younger son) weren't left behind while still getting up and going at times for those of us who wanted a bit more adventurous of an experience. I would recommend Motor Toys and am looking forward to renting from them again! read more

Woo-hooooo! 5 stars for SURE. This place is amazing. From the woman on the phone who helped us book our 2-hour ATV tour, to our outstanding guide, Scott -- we loved it all. So fun! We took our tour this past weekend, and Scott was so full of energy, encouraging, he put safety first, and made sure we were comfortable with the speed and handling of the ATVs. It was so much harder than I thought! I was nervous at first, but then I saw how crazy easy these machines glide over all the bumps and rocks, and Scott had us take a few breaks to catch our breath and check in. So the nerves went away! Not to mention the scenery was breathtaking. So beautiful, with pristine woods and wildflowers everywhere -- I have to get better at ATV riding so I can look less at the road below and a bit more at the view! My husband took right to it. He had the pedal to the metal, as they say (though really, your speed is determined by a thumb lever). If you want to try out ATV riding (or snowmobiling, jeeping, and more) I would highly recommend Motor Toys. The ride from Issaquah took us just over an hour. My wife, son, and I booked a guided atv tour with Motor Toys through the resort we were staying at and had a fantastic day. Scott, our guide, was very personable and from the local area. He really made us all feel at ease. We toured the ridges in the LT Murray management area. It was a blast. We we're all new to atv back country riding. Scott intoduced us to each area and then gave us space to explore the limits of our abilities. We all had a great time and highly recommend this company. Went to motor toys on a road trip. We rented 4 ATVs. Within the first ten minutes of the ride one of the ATVs died and refused to start. After waiting 30 plus minutes for the manager we finally returned to the trail. When we finished we were charged $670 for a fender that apparently was damaged. Complete rip off we payed over $800 for the original rentals just to be charged an extra $670. I am guarantee he made us pay for what ever the F was wrong with the first ATV. I do not recommend renting from these scam artists. read more

Great prices, friendly service, super fast snowmobiles. One of the best experiences ever ! I planned a guys weekend with 12 of my buds and Motor Toys of Cle Elum delivered an amazing weekend. The trails were epic. We enjoyed tons of fresh snow in the bowls. Later in the day we opened up the sleds in the flats and we were shocked to get the sleds up to 68 MPH. As a first time ATV rider, Motor Toys provided me with all the safety instruction and gear. When we started the ride, it was an easy ride up to the Mountain and i had a chance to enjoy the many beautiful sights of the forest. When we got to the peak there was as an opportunity to jump of the bike and get some rest, water and chat with the group. They had chosen an incredible trail loop, which was filled with beautiful views, and fun riding! Even when a person in the group didn't want to ride anymore, the great crew at Motor Toys helped them out by giving them a ride in the crew vehicle and brought back the ATV after the end of the trip. I got stuck at the rest area near Cle Elum with a broken down boat trailer. I called a few places who could not or would not help me and finally got a friendly voice at Motor Toys. It was close to closing time but they sent a mechanic out to try and help us on the fly. He showed up and tried to fix us up but parts were not available due to it being late in the day. They recommended a local towing service and we had our boat and trailer towed by flatbed to their shop. The next day I called the shop and they were already on the job getting us back on the road. Not only was the job done quickly and professionally but they were friendly knowledgeable helpful and great down to earth people. I would consider driving there from Seattle just to have them work on my stuff. I can't say enough good things about how we were treated by them. The funny part is that they aren't even a trailer shop. But they were willing to help a guy out and do what they could. That's cool! I plan to try them for A snowmobile or ATV guided tour sometime soon. read more
