Calling and calling- no answer? Are they even open ? I don't understand why they can't answer?

It was time to renew my tags at the DMV!!! Sometimes, DMV's get bad reputations due to the long wait times and customer service, but when I came here, I didn't have to deal with either!! It's not like other DMV's I've visited where you have to get there early just to get seen. This place is more like a little office where it's more intimate. I'm pretty sure you can make an appointment. Not sure if it was the day I came, but there was hardly anyone there. And I'm definitely coming here from now on lol I came in and Rigo greeted me while the other front woman was helping someone else on the phone. I walked back to his desk. Boy was he funny, upbeat, kind, helpful and very knowledgeable about Vehicle Registration services! He made the process so easy and smooth. He explained everything I needed to know from that point and what I needed for the year coming up. Now, the price? I won't get into that haha but hey, it's that time of the year so I'm not complaining I'm just grateful I got what I needed and the help I needed to get it off my hands!! I came here to spare myself a trip to the DMV so I could file the transfer of ownership of a vehicle I was gifted. I was told I did not have the proper paperwork and I needed to come back with a different form. No mention of other forms no mention of other documentation. Apparently the gentleman assumed I would bring things he told me I could not use in conjunction with the form he instructed me to bring. This morning, I show up and he tells me that I need several other forms that need signatures. When I objected that he had not mentioned this previously and that he had told me, I could not use a form that he was now telling me I needed a copy of, he informed me that his business is information and if he just gives me information , what is his business? My suggestion is that the business is saving people time. No one comes to pay the markup so that you can tell them what they could learn from the DMV. They come so that they can pay the money, the extra markup and file the forms with you and walk away with their tags in a short period of time. Instead, I've now wasted a morning and a half, I have missed the opportunity to spend that time at the DMV and actually get a result, and on top of it, I am told that information will be dribbled out only when I am in the office and only exactly what I ask for because he doesn't want to risk giving information without getting paid for it. Ironically, he got zero money from this whole affair, and I will not be coming back nor recommending this business to anyone. read more

It's not a actual DMV office. It's a store front DMV service office. The gentleman here was very informative and very professional. I was very impressed. But They do not do salvaged title registration renewals here or vehicle inspections. Although I was informed over the phone a day before that they do. In all fairness, the employee who misinformed me must've been new. read more

Might be viable service for simple transactions I purchased an out of state car I thought might be more difficult to register I paid $125 for mobile verification plus $95 for them to go to the DMV. There was a snag in the transaction, and could not complete it there. They then brushed it off and told me I had to go to DMV, get another verification, and finish the transaction there. I basically paid $220 for what I ended up having to do myself. No apologies from them, just took the money and run. Not Recommended read more

Had a complicated situation with my motorcycle. Bought in Florida and had to register in California. Talk to Paul. He knows the business. If he is busy, He will ask you very polite him to call you down and a certain time. If you stop by the shop he will give you an estimate before you bring your motorcycle in for inspection. The place is hard to find so you have to look around that shopping center. It's in the far corner. read more

The line will never allow me to put 5 stars but once I did receive service after waiting 2 hours in line , the service was great! The lady that assisted me is retiring this July and she helped to make my process smooth quick and enjoyable. She gave me a better option to save money for my situation and I'm extremely grateful! So fast ... So easy ... So pleasant! I guess I've become a homebody because nobody (and by nobody I mean "no cop") had noticed my registration was 2 years expired. Holy Cow! Til I got a dreaded ticket over the weekend. I couldn't renew on the DMV website because it was expired, and also wasn't allowed to make an appointment because the registration was expired outside of the 30-day grace period. The LAST thing I wanted to do was die alone in the DMV line. Because pretty much, that's how long their lines always are. So I decided to give this place a try. Front door parking, no waiting, they could call themselves "In-N-Out". No wait, that's taken. Soooo pleasantly surprised. Every person in there was super-friendly (probably because they aren't government employees) and I just couldn't be happier. I mentioned this to the fellow who helped me, Rigo, and he said, "A good attitude is a choice." Couldn't agree more. (And I wish more people could see the simplicity in this choice.) As I was leaving, the receptionist was talking to a couple who had just walked in the door. She asked them, "Would you like to take care of this here, or go over to the DMV?" I wanted to jump on a sofa (a la Tom Cruise) and shout "No! Don't go there! Not the DMV!!!" But I restrained myself. Decided to go grab myself an ice cream to celebrate my good fortune. read more

These people saved my but. I had a complicated registration. RV purchased in AZ needed to be registered here. This requires more paperwork than an instate purchase. If there was no covid, I would have gone to the DMV directly. That would have been a huge mistake. The DMV would not have gotten on the phone with me and the BANK to explain exactly what was necessary from the Bank. The Bank would not believe me when I told them what was needed. I was in and out after just 30 minutes mostly because they only had one person waiting. Just needed to swap personalized plates from one vehicle to another. Little pricey but that's the DMV still collecting their fees on top of the business just making their part too, so I didn't mind at all! Totally worth it. Happened upon this place by accident. I thought I was going to a DMV and in for a huge wait, what with no appointment, and because it was Friday afternoon. Imagine my delight when seeing only one person in line. I was wary and not sure I would be able to walk away with a sticker and registration, but that is exactly what happened. The guy was super nice and there was an additional charge of around thirty dollars, but money well spent for no waiting and there was even a discount If I wanted to pay by cash. What a GREAT DEAL! NO WAITING, NO HASSLE, NO DMV NASTY ATTITUDE!! A part of me is hesitant to let anyone in on my secret, but I couldn't help myself. I got married in Texas, moved to California and needed my last name updated on my license. 3 managers refused to accept my marriage license as a legal document and kept calling it a souvenir. Walked back and forth in the rain, talking to the county clerk in Texas, and verifying in fact that this county's marriage license is also it's marriage certificate. CA DMV refused to call Texas to verify when I had their direct number from the lady I kept talking to. 4 hrs pass... I gave up. Called Texas again and they told me they would send me a formal letter about the marriage license and marriage certificate being as one. 2 weeks pass, I come back to the DMV, show them the letter and they kept asking for a "laminated certificate". I also printed out a website page that says Texas does not give out a certificate. When I showed them that paper, they finally started looking it up themselves. Finally after an hour of waiting, their response is "seems like you got married in the one county that doesn't issue a certificate" I was livid!!!!!!! So I responded back with "so I was right, I had the proper documents the first time" and in return he responded with "be grateful we're approving it now" like he was doing me a favor!! He didn't want to apologize and kept saying I still had the wrong letter to prove it........ They could have saved both of us the trouble if they just called the freaking county clerk in Texas to verify what I was saying. But nope, kept arguing with me that I was wrong and that he's seen so many Texas marriage certificate. Last time I checked this "certificate" was not in effect since the 1950s.... sooooo... Sorry, had to vent but WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!!!!!!! Save yourself the trouble and go to a different DMV! read more

Never again will I wait in a Dmv line! I swear! Saw this place a few times while visiting this shopping center. its a tucked away spot, but dont let that fool you! This place is awesome! Literally walked in and out got a car registered in my name, plus new tags all for a small fee within 10 minutes!!! Last time I went to the dmv it took me 5 hours! Any amount of money at that point I would pay to avoid that! The man that helped me was so friendly and helpful...nothing like the insanely rude and impersonal people at the dmv! Sitting in the parking lot at 9:09 am on 1/11/19, website says they open at 9 am, hours posted on the front says open at 9 am, the little "will return" clock says be back at 10 am. SERIOUSLY???? If I could give his place negative stars I would! Came here just trying to show proof of smog for my car I had already paid my registration fee months before and the guy takes my paperwork starts acting frazzled like there is so much to do tells me there will be a $30 fee I say that's fine just need my tags. Within seconds he looks something up and says oh my fees will be $65 actually and then proceeds to say the DMV wants another $188 before I could get my tags. I tell him again no I paid my fees per DMV just need proof of smog. Keeps saying well I have to collect what they say and my fees before I can give you your tags, I tel him no thank you I will head to the DMV I am. Or paying more. Get to the San Clemente DMV and when I am checking in I keep saying something about owing more and the lady shows me the screen showing fees owed $0 pending smog cert!! Seriously shady business and just not a good human being. I understand the $30 fee and agreed but then to try and rip me off saying the DMV wants more fees and to add onto his just to give me my tags!!!! Don't go here untrustworthy people!!
