I love come here for my fav stall. Affordable, cheap, and delicious. They even added side dish for $5. You can mix and match. Amazing customer service and delicious food, which I can't emphasize enough

The food here probably gets between 3.5-4.5 stars for the flavor/quality/price ratio, though there are improvements to the seating, decor and overall cleanliness that could be made to better the overall experience. Though there's plenty of seating would suggest getting takeout from here due to above reasons. This location is in a former dimsum restaurant and they've basically kept the same layout and set up about 9-20 stalls along the left and right walls with a mishmash of tables in the center, some rectangular, square and circular, some with tablecloths others without, with varying degrees of cleanliness. I was looking for something light and tried the fish congee $8 from the Mott Street food stall that serves a variety of dimsum and southern Chinese dishes. Simple Chinese comfort food and ample protein pieces (I counted about 8-9 pieces of a white fish) for the price. Steaming hot, salty (in a good way, not overly), sprinkled with a few chopped scallions and cooked with slivers of ginger for a subtle zing. Need to be careful while eating as I found bone or two in a few pieces of the fish. If you eat there, expectation is to bus your own table and drop off the trash and trays at the front of the space. I didn't use the bathroom here though if the other reviews are accurate I'm not going to try if I come again either--seems like a big mistake to not take better care of these.

We never had a food court in Chinatown so I was curious about this place. It was nice to see different options available, however not everything was up to par. We got some dim sum, Kimbap, bubble tea, and takoyaki. The dim sum wasn't great, lack of flavor. The Kimbap and takoyaki I would get again. The lady at the kimbap stall was super nice and friendly. The place itself wasn't the greatest, it was super hot out that day and they just had gigantic fans facing different ways in each corner. The security guard was also lingering if you didn't order food. A lot of signs you cannot hang out there. We just ate as fast as we could and kept moving.

What was previously a banquet hall restaurant with dimsum, I think, much of the floor and upper seating stage still there noticably. Now, you'll find little shops for different tastes of Chinese cuisines are set up inside to try, from potato noodles to dumplings to dry hotpot dishes, the roast duck with rice, and a small drink/boba tea shop. Not all shops were open, a few under construction, and one door was blocked off as they were redoing the pavement. I'll have to try it once I have more time. Bus your own table.

Fell for yet again, another IG hype. First off, beware where you choose to sit. The only FREE seatings are the lunchroom style white tables and the first two round tables by the front door. You will be attacked by the tea patrol man advising you of a "tea fee" if you decide to sit elsewhere. It's a couple of bucks per person. Food was average. Service was close to none. A bit warm inside on a hot summer day. Would not recommend.

They have about 12 eateries here and you can't use the bathroom unless you buy something. It's immediately inviting bc there are many varieties of food like Korean Chinese Japanese and a cafe. The food was salty for Mott eastern Chinese food but the k kimbop was not salty and it was very good.. I would say this place needs a really good thorough cleaning because it doesn't smell clean and the inside was not air conditioned on June 7, 2025. So there was a stuffiness to their place and the table cloths attract dirt so it did not smell good at all.

One stop shop to try so much food from a region. It's got Taiwanese, Korean, Chinese, etc. different regions different style cooking. I felt like I was an Asian food fair. Lots of tables to sit and eat. No public restroom.

This place was mentioned by a coworker so went with family. Food court style seemed good to me bec. of our different food preferences. Once there, we noticed a mish mash of tables, some even with tablecloth, in the middle of the room. Decided to get one first by standing over other customers which I don't usually like to do but needed to. Be ready to share a table too. Seemed like some patrons linger around chatting. The food stalls are on 2 opposite sides. There is a variety- some food were unfamiliar to us but at least had photos, some items had no description or only in Chinese. Not a lot that really caught our attention but we settled on 3 places; for 2 of them, we were given pagers when ready for pick-up: Dimsum - dimsum beancurd with meat and mushroom, the steamed cake roll; peking duck buns 3/$4. Saw chicken feet still with nails. Sanmiwago - crispy bottom potstickers looked and tasted good; took at least 20 min. Authentic Xian Flavors - stewed pork burgers were ok'd by my family; Qishan pork noodle soup - hint of sour, tasted like I added dark vinegar already; not a lot of protein. Lower rating bec. of the ladies' restroom. There were signs saying "no public restrooms" by the far end so was relieved when my husband saw a sign, near some stairs, so I went. The condition was bad - no soap, no toilet paper, dirty, the smell, wet floors. The guys said their restroom was not clean as well, no soap. What do the employees do after they use the restroom?

Was trying to find a casual lunch spot in Chinatown and decided to check out one of the food courts there. The booth that I went to had a good variety of options. There were dim sum and roast and BBQ meats. So you are bound to find Cantonese food that you like! The food court was packed with people. I almost couldn't find a seat! (Also a good chunk of the patrons were older, so you know it's a popular spot amongst the tough critics - Asian parents and their parents-) This time I ordered the 2 meats of my choice (crispy pork and duck) + rice + soup. Definitely swing by if you are in the area!

A hall consisting of small street-food vendors. A concept that has been well established and received in Flushing NY, but failed in Edison, NJ, is being welcomed by mainly Chinese seniors and students on the outskirt of Chinatown. Expect chaotic, noisy, and family made cheap meals that give character to such a place. Ordered fried salty water dumpling (Huge but had to ask to be microwave d to reheat it) and fish ball with rice noodle (Fresh but had to ask for soy sauce to add some flavor)

Honestly don't come here unless you are Chinese as you will be judged and stared at by all the people in there. Additionally, they are quite strict on their food policy and you can't eat any food from outside. The stalls in here look very average and nothing that special or stand out is available.

The soup dumplings are some of the worst I've ever had in my life. They tasted like glue.

I had the shrimp dumpling noodle soup for only $10 and it was a good amount of food. dumplings were great. noodles were great. and i loved the big pieces of stewed vegetables. will definitely be coming back! i really enjoyed that there were large chunks of shrimp in the dumplings too. i also checked out the tofu/soy stall and got salty soy milk. i wasn't the biggest fan but glad i tried it

When we…read morediscovered the Koreatown Nan Xiang was right around the corner from our hotel this visit, we made it a priority to visit, and we brought friends who were new to soup dumplings (XLB). There was a wait list to get seated when we arrived but the process was simple and moved quickly, and service was prompt and food came out quickly. We ordered both the standard pork XLB and my faves, the pork and crab ones, as well as pan fried pork dumplings which I was surprised to discover were also full of soup, chicken corn dumplings, and two noodle dishes: rice cake with pork & mustard greens, and pan fried noodles with beef. Servers were conscientious about allergies and very specific about letting us know which items were which, but other than that were largely appropriately hands off. They did ask us, mid-meal, if it would be ok if a service dog were at the next table to ours, which I thought was courteous. (The service dog was adorable and well behaved.) All the food was fab, which we expected. It's nice to come in a group and be able to order more items for a greater variety. The rookies executed well (and thanked us for the instructions on how to eat XLB to avoid getting soup everywhere) and were pleasantly surprised by my longtime favorite, the rice cake and mustard greens. I'll need to remember that the pan fried pork dumplings also have soup, because I really liked the texture of them. Such good food, and as always, better shared with friends.

Dish highlights include the shrimp and chive dumplings, beef chow fun, and my personal favorite, the stuffed eggplant. Other items were a little bland, like the turnip cakes and har gow, and the pan fried shrimp noodles were awkwardly plated and made them difficult to eat. I also wish they had rice noodle rolls, which I didnt see on the menu. Really what pushed it to 5 stars to me was the service. We came as a huge group of 20, with a baby and stroller in tow, and they handled everything without so much as a grimace, just an outpouring of helpfulness. They sat half our group at a round table and the other half at a rectangular long table and also helped us navigate dietary restrictions, asking specifically who in the group had those restrictions. The menu is labeled too, so you know which items are vegetarian or gluten free. At one point our helpful server noticed we hadn't really touched that awkwardly plated noodle dish and offered to replace it with another. We didn't take him up on that as I'd find that wasteful but I thought that was so attentive and earned them a generous tip. The space is nice looking, and the food came out very quickly. We also didn't break the bank, even with plenty of drink orders. Dao's is an easy recommendation, especially when you factor in how seamlessly they handled our chaos.

It's the first time I had a scallion pancake that wasn't just straight dough inside/outside, or so thin that it got crisped out. I really liked this texture profile though. The eggplant was 10/10; the eggplant was cooked well, so tender but not soggy. The sauce was really good too such that it was sufficient spice but not flaming. Would recommended. I enjoyed the cucumber salad and tofu as well, but have had better. Seasoning and prep were good though -- although the tofu was cooked so tender (or maybe was silken tofu to begin with) that the whole table was struggling with carrying it from plate to mouth -- heh.
