I ordered from here via Uber Eats on a whim. And then I ordered from here again everyday, for the next 5 days. It was that good. On the 6th day I brought my foodie bestie to the restaurant and she loved it as much as I do! She'a an expert chef and world traveling food expert and she has since brought every member of her family here, one at a time. The food is something you have to experience! If you're a fan of Din Tai Fung, get the Xiao long Bao. You will not regret it! The Zhong Dumplings compliment those well with a little kick. The Steamed Barbecue Pork Buns are like lotus flower shaped clouds of dough filled with a perfectly balanced bbq pulled pork. And the Sesame Chewy Balls with Red Bean are my favorite sweet item. I randomly crave those all the time. The staff is always welcoming and so kind and the atmosphere is very "hole-in-the-wall", which I love. It makes it feel like I've found something really special. I really cannot express enough what a diamond-in-the-rough sort of thing this place feels like. It feels like my little secret pocket in a city filled incredible food and I honestly can't believe they don't have a line down the block of people waiting to eat there everyday. It has become my favorite place to tell out-of-towners to go if they truly want a taste of Seattle excellence. Attaching a pic of the door as it can be missed. It's the recessed white door to the right of the recessed door to the Double J Saloon.

Was in the mood for soup dumplings one day and decided to try this place out from the publicity it was getting on IG. It's a pretty small restaurant and didn't seem like they were really prepped to have people dining in yet. But we got a table and it did not look like it was wiped clean yet. It was clean enough to sit though and took a look at their menu. We weren't sure if we were suppose to order from their online menu or wait for the server to come to us. We ended up waving the service over to take our order. We ended up getting quite a bit and it did end up being too much that we took the rest home. We got some dan dan noodles, soup dumplings, pan fried dumplings, dumplings in hot oil, and some cucumber in hot oil to balance things out. We were pretty disappointed with the soup dumplings and the dumplings in hot oil. The dan dan noodles were good texture-wise, but it lacked any flavor. The hot chili oil condiment helped with that fortunately. Surprisingly the pan fried dumplings were juicier than the soup dumplings. They were the star for me at this place. There were a lot of to go orders coming from this place though that I noticed. They basically were discouraging people that came in to not place an order. Telling them it'll be a 40 minute wait. It's nice to see them get so much business, but it definitely doesn't look like they can meet the demand. If you're going to order from here, try ordering at odd hours instead of the usual lunch and dinner rush times. They'll be too book. I do like the fact that they have a guy making dumplings in the front so you can see they make it themselves and make it fresh. So that's good to know, just don't expect high quality stuff out of them. I think the soup dumpling wasn't steamed long enough either for me since it looked pretty pink still after I bit into one. But I'm still alive, so it's safe to eat still I guess lol. I'd come back for the pan-fried dumplings. Not the soup dumplings though, like, where was the soup?

Great family-owned place in an inconspicuous location putting out some wonderful traditional Chinese dishes! It was pretty quiet and our group of 8 was seated immediately. We had a reservation, which was also super easy to set up. Everything was fresh and flavorful and the chongqing chicken wasn't too oily like I've had at other places!

A hidden gem in Lake City. Drove by this place couple times but never noticed it. But luckily we finally gave it a try! The food portion was pretty decent. And the owner even shared their secret menu to us, their homemade bacon. Would definitely got back!

Came for Thanksgiving! They are open until 9pm. We ordered: Tea - marinated Duck - Very tasty and not dry. I love the crunch and soft meat. Braised Pork Belly - Soft and tender. The flavor is not too salty or too sweet so best to layer flavor however you want. Bak choy - typical Mashed eggplant and century egg - best one in the batch. Xiao bao - good. Service - fast and helpful Order - no hassle Order via QR Code. Pay and Call Waitstaff too. Ambience - clean, festive and family friendly. We would come again and Recommend.

I was so happy to see Mount&Bao emerge unscathed from the pandemic. This place is SO good. It's hard to pick what our favorite dish was, but we got a wide selection of items, including pan fried pork Xiao Long Bao, tofu salad, chive and pork dumplings, wontons in chili sauce, chive & egg pancakes, and the mushroom & Napa bao along with hot tea. I'd highly recommend the wontons, tofu salad, and pork Xiao Long Bao, but you can't go wrong. It was a one-man show at the restaurant, but the restaurant owner was so kind and the service was smooth, timely, and welcoming. It wasn't very busy, but I was very surprised to see him manage everything on his own, but he created a warm and friendly atmosphere and we can't wait to come back. Please try this place if you haven't already!

We decided to check this place out for dinner as we heard a lot of good things about it but it kinda fell short... Service was a little mixed but it was ok. It didn't seem like they want us to dine in as the guy was pretty hesitant when we asked. I definitely like the ordering system as you can scan the qr code and place the order there without having to wait for the waiter to come take our order. We got: Pork xiao long bao: umm...there was no soup in 6/10 of the dumplings. It was a little bland and the dough is on the thicker side. Not my favorite 3/5 Shrimp and chives pan fried bao: greasy, and it wasn't as crispy ad I would want. Soft and fluffy on top though. The flavor is good, it reminds me of the Vietnamese shrimp Dumpling (banh bot loc) 4/5 Spicy noodle: probably the highlight of the meal. The texture was chewy and the flavor was good. 5/5 Overall, it was ok. The price is a tad pricy for my liking but not bad.

The Pork Xiao Long Bao were okay in my opinion, but it wasn't anything too special. I haven't had dim sum in a long time and found this place had great options and amazing pictures on Yelp. I decided to order some baos to pick up and semi satisfy my craving but the wait was about 30 min. I went in just to check after 15 min, there was only one other person sitting at a table inside and they said it would be 15 more min so I guess 30 was accurate. When i got my food it wasn't as fresh as you would expect, but I think this is definitely food you want to eat there, although my walk from the restaurant to my car was a few feet away and I was eating these in my car so I would think it would still be almost as fresh as if I was eating there but it just wasn't.

Parking for this place can be a little hard to find. However, there is a free 2 hour parking lot behind the building. You'll have to walk through the apartments to get to the front of the building but definitely a lot easier than finding street parking. I ordered the noodles with spicy sauce as well as pan fried pork buns. Both were super delicious. I would ask for extra spicy sauce as well so you can add more if you prefer. The noodles were perfectly cooked and flavorful while the pan fried pork buns had the perfect mix of bread to pork combo.

We ordered takeout from this place. When we arrived there wasn't anyone working in the front so we rang the bell on the front desk several times and it didn't seem like anyone heard us - probably waited 5-10 minutes before anyone showed up. They also don't wear gloves or have any plexiglass installed. This place is really good though! I read the reviews on here and everyone spoke very highly of the xiao long bao and spicy wontons, so I picked both of those up, but I really didn't think they were that good (Dough Zone and Din Tai Fung are better), but the Pork Pancake (which is really just a big bao) was delicious and their green beans and hand made pulled noodles were really good! I thought everything was priced pretty decently too and they have pretty good portions so as well!

The menu is simple which I can appreciate. My daughter got the pork ribs dry mix hand-pulled noodles, but of course we share everything and taste everything together. The noodles were a good consistency of texture and flavor. We also got the chive and pork handmade dumplings. Consistency was good, but the flavor was just okay. I ordered the fried tofu bao which I wasn't sure what to expect, but it turned out to be a good choice. The fried tofu is paired with nicely seasoned chili sauce in a crispy bun. The bun was prepared well - not overcooked. The service was good and fairly quick. The bathroom was clean (I think there are two single room bathrooms.) Chill, casual vibes. Four stars.

Since my last review the restaurant has closed and reopened, and expanded their menu, to now include more dumplings and varieties of noodles. They also now have a very handy duo of ordering kiosks, which you order at prior to sitting down. I found their kiosks easy to use, which isn't always a given. This being my first visit back in a while, I had to get the spicy cumin lamb biang biang noodles. However I had to try some dumplings, so we shared the lamb dumplings, while my dinner buddy had the spicy cumin lamb rice noodle soup (the same kind of noodles you'd get at a ten second yunnan noodle type of place). They also now have a complimentary side dish bar that has seaweed salad, peanuts, and kimci, as well as some condiment type things like scallions and minced garlic. I helped myself to some seaweed salad to nibble on while waiting for our food, and it was good although food comes out quickly enough that you don't necessarily have to rely on it unless you're really chomping at the bit. The spicy cumin lamb biang biang noodles are just as good as I remember. The biang biang noodles here are perfectly chewy, and the rest of the dish has a lovely flavor aside from just spice. They're generous with lamb and cabbage which add a lot of textural variety to the plate. The lamb dumplings were the sleeper hit of the meal, filled with juicy, tender hunks of lamb surrounded by toothsome clearly hand-rolled wrappers. Absolutely do not skip the lamb dumplings. My dinner buddy really enjoyed her rice noodle soup with spicy cumin lamb, which I think would be a great option on a cold day. Everything is pretty much self serve here, so don't expect full service -- although they did stop by to refill our water once. There isn't a ton of room for large groups, but the turnover is quick and thus the weights are usually quite minimal. Service is very good overall and super friendly. I would highly not recommend using their bathroom, as it's tiny, cramped, and not in the best condition. The noodle soups vary from wonton noodles to fishballs. They also specialize in beef brisket and fishballs, making this feel like a bit of a Hong Kong style cafe. Most of the soups average out to be $14-16, depending on size. It's a joy to watch them assemble the bowls in lightning quick fashion. Wontons are excellent. Tables are mostly four tops, quite spacious at that, and surrounded by sturdy wooden chairs. I came for dinner on a Friday evening and there were a few other tables at any given time. Service was quick and our water never ran empty. We had the wontons in hot oil, topped with peanuts, I had the beef chow fun, and my dinner buddy had the pork with hot sauce noodles. The wontons are very very good, stuffed with flavorful pork and swimming in a sauce that sits in that perfect spot at the intersection of hot and sour. The peanuts and scallions add a delightful crunch. Their beef chow fun satisfies every bit of childhood nostalgia I have for this dish, with lots of wok hei, bouncy noodles, and the most tender of beef. I think my favorite beef chow fun in the city still lives at A+ Hong Kong Kitchen, but this is a close second. The portion here is also huge. I am a human vacuum and I actually brought leftovers home, which is rare for me. The pork with hot sauce noodles is seemingly a fusion of zha jiang mian and dan dan noodles. My friend really enjoyed it and actually finished the whole thing, which is saying something given that she doesn't usually eat that much.
