My very favorite ride in the planet is the tilt a whirl and before getting our wristbands were specifically asked if it was running. It starts at 6pm on weeknights. We left the park for a few hours and came back at 6pm only to be told that was the only ride not operating. I know this happens but i was super bummed. It really was the main reason we went there.

Every time I visit there, it brings back memories of the first time my friends took me. There's always something new to see and experience, which makes each trip feel special. I even noticed they changed the color of the castle recently! It used to be rose-pink, blue, and grey, but now it is completely grey and blue, which are similar colors to the classic Cinderella Castle. The colors threw me off at first because I didn't realize they changed it. I had to look back at my old photos from 2018 and did some research afterward. Overall, Disney World is magical. There are four parks in Disney World (Disney Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Epcot). Each park is special in its own ways. Magic Kingdom is a must-visit out of the four Disney parks if you want to experience the full Disney magic. I don't think I'll ever get tired of visiting Disney. I do say it is getting very expensive. However, if you find deals, definitely come and check this place out. It is a fun place for people of all ages!

There is something about walking down Main Street, U.S.A., and seeing Cinderella Castle at the end that never gets old. No matter how many times I visit, I still feel that familiar spark of excitement. The park is beautiful, remarkably clean, and filled with details that reward you for slowing down and looking around. I love searching for Hidden Mickeys, reading the names and tributes in the Main Street windows, listening for the tap-dancing sounds tucked away above the shops, and noticing all the little jokes and Imagineering secrets scattered throughout the lands. Even Cinderella Castle has a bit of magic up its sleeve: it looks much taller than it really is because of clever forced-perspective design. Magic Kingdom becomes even more magical during the holidays. Halloween brings pumpkins, villains, spooky decorations, and a wonderfully mischievous atmosphere. Christmas transforms the park into a glowing fairy-tale wonderland, with sparkling lights, seasonal music, decorations, and the kind of cheerful holiday spirit that makes you feel like a child again. On my last visit, I decided to travel through every land in a single day. I began on Main Street, U.S.A., where a talking trash can challenged me to find three Hidden Mickeys before I reached the castle. In Adventureland, I was recruited by pirates, narrowly escaped a jungle expedition, and was nearly eaten by a very judgmental plant. Frontierland turned into a runaway adventure when Big Thunder Mountain apparently decided it was tired of following the track and wanted to take me all the way to Texas. In Fantasyland, I was appointed temporary royal assistant to Cinderella, although I was dismissed after accidentally frightening a collection of enchanted teacups. Liberty Square was even stranger: the ghosts from the Haunted Mansion followed me across the bridge and insisted that I attend a very poorly organized séance. Finally, in Tomorrowland, I was mistaken for a space ranger and sent to repair the future with nothing but a churro and a pair of sunglasses. By the time I returned to Main Street, the castle fireworks had begun, the talking trash can had forgiven me, and at least one ghost was still asking for directions. It was a completely impossible day--and exactly the sort of impossible day that Magic Kingdom makes feel perfectly normal. For me, Magic Kingdom is more than a theme park. It is a place full of memories, imagination, music, laughter, and tiny details that make every visit feel like a new adventure. Whether it is Halloween, Christmas, or an ordinary afternoon in the Florida sunshine, this is the park that will always feel like home.

Disney continues to prove why it's in a league of its own…read more This trip, we opted for the after 2:00 p.m. tickets, and I highly recommend it. We were able to enjoy slow mornings, have a relaxing brunch, skip the early rush, and still enjoy full evenings in the parks. Even in mid-July, the crowds were much lighter than expected. The Florida heat and humidity were no joke, but bringing cooling fans made a huge difference. We also purchased Lightning Passes, and they were worth every penny. Because of the heat, we focused more on indoor attractions and shows, which ended up being a great strategy. My only suggestion? Disney could use a few more water rides across the four main parks, not just at the water parks. The parks were spotless, Cast Members were consistently friendly and helpful, complimentary water cups were easy to find, and somehow Disney's famous mosquito control system really does seem to work. We barely noticed any bugs, which is pretty remarkable for central Florida. A special thank you to Megan from Kansas State, who was working in Frontierland. She spent extra time answering our daughter's questions with so much kindness and patience. Then, completely unexpectedly, she surprised our family with VIP viewing passes for the parade and fireworks in a private viewing area. It turned an already wonderful day into a memory we'll never forget. Even with the scorching heat, the Disney magic never melted. In fact, I'd say the magic was on fire.

Expedition Everest and Avatar Flight of Passage were both really good! Na'vi River Journey was just okay. It was slow-moving ride like Pirates of the Caribbean, but not as good. I think it was actually a little bit too dark inside the ride. The Lion King show was just okay. It did NOT have Broadway-quality singers and performances like in Beauty and the Beast (Hollywood Studios). For me, Animal Kingdom was clearly #4 of the 4 Walt Disney World parks. Overall grade: C+

I had heard from locals that it's a great local option over the big theme parks. Fun Spot was pretty great, for what it was. Free parking, free admission if you don't plan on riding rides, also a discounted adult pass if you only are going on rides with your kid who is too young to ride alone. The whole place was small, maybe the area of a handful of city blocks. And on the Sunday afternoon when we went, the place was quiet enough that we never waited more than a few minutes to get onto a ride. As we were only there for a couple hours, the cashier recommended the 4 ride pass for my kids, and the companion pass for me. But if one were to spend more hours there, buying the day pass online for $59.95 is quite a bargain. Not all rides were open, but the "big" rides that most kids want (the roller coasters and the go carts) were open. My daughter, who is not a big roller coaster fan, had a harder time finding kiddie rides that she actually wanted to go on, and she watched the go carts and didn't even want to try those with me driving. However, the place was small enough that I felt fine leaving my 10 year old son to go on rides by himself while I went on the Ferris wheel or the merry go round with my 8 year old. There are a bunch of food options available throughout the park. They were definitely more affordable than Disney prices! Most of the places offered souvenir cups with discounted refills, but there were also water stations set up throughout with free cups. I'd definitely come back if I had a few hours to burn and the kids didn't want to go swimming. Hopefully at some point, my daughter will change her mind about roller coasters, though!

Walking into Pandora doesn't feel like entering another section of Animal Kingdom, it feels like…read morestepping onto another planet. From the very first moment, the floating mountains completely stop you in your tracks. Pictures don't do them justice. Standing beneath them while waterfalls cascade below and vines wrap around the massive rock formations creates one of the most believable themed environments Disney has ever built. Every direction offers another incredible photo opportunity. What really impressed me was the attention to detail. Giant alien plants, strange wildlife, weathered pathways, and even the smallest rock formations make Pandora feel like a living ecosystem instead of a movie set. The Imagineers clearly obsessed over every inch of this land, and it shows. Then there's Avatar Flight of Passage. The queue deserves almost as much praise as the ride itself. Disney doesn't simply have you standing in line, they immerse you in the story. As you move through caves, laboratories, and the Avatar Program research facility, you're constantly discovering something new. From the massive Mountain Banshee skeletons to the scientific equipment, the incredible Avatar floating in the laboratory tank, and countless hidden details, the queue becomes part of the attraction rather than just a wait. Because you're always exploring and taking in the environment, the line feels noticeably shorter than it actually is. Disney also made the queue surprisingly practical. About midway through, you'll find a restroom, along with a water fountain and bottle refill station, so you can take a quick break without having to leave the line. It's a thoughtful touch that makes waiting much more comfortable, especially on a hot Florida day. Most of the line is under the shade. And then you board. Flight of Passage is simply one of the greatest theme park attractions ever created. The sensation of linking with your banshee and soaring across Pandora is incredibly convincing. The movement, visuals, wind effects, scents, and breathtaking musical score combine into something that feels more like a real adventure than a theme park ride. By the time it's over, you'll probably already be planning your next ride. One of my favorite aspects of Pandora is that it rewards people who slow down. Instead of rushing from attraction to attraction, take time to wander. Look up at the floating mountains. Listen to the waterfalls. Notice the alien vegetation and hidden pathways. Every corner feels alive, making the land itself just as much of an attraction as the rides. We also had lunch at Satu'li Canteen, which was another highlight. The food was fresh, flavorful, and a refreshing break from the usual theme park fare. The Ocean Moon Bowl was packed with flavor, the Cheeseburger Pods were unique and fun to try, and both desserts, the Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse and the Mangkwan Mousse--were outstanding. It completed the immersive experience perfectly. Myself and my Son both enjoyed Pandora and will return. If I had one criticism, it's simply that Pandora leaves you wanting more. With only two attractions, you can experience everything relatively quickly, but the world itself is so breathtaking that you'll find yourself lingering just to soak it all in.

I guess since it's a Disney IP they gotta milk it for all it is worth, and they definitely are doing that here. I'll admit that it is one of the most visually stunning areas in AK, especially at night. I guess if you're a fan of the "Avatar" films, you'll really dig it. Otherwise, it's just a bunch of funky psychedelic fake plants and what not. The floating mountains are the main showstopper with their massive rock formations covered in vines and waterfalls that look like they're defying gravity. It's the kind of thing that makes you feel like you've actually stepped onto another planet. During the day, it's lush and colorful but at night, everything glows with bioluminescent lights which turns the area into this dreamy, neon wonderland. There are only two rides here but they are among the park's most popular. There's Flight of Passage and then the Na'vi River Journey, with the former being much better than the latter. Both attractions always have super long lines, but I'm not so sure that's a sign of their overall quality more than the fact that AK doesn't have many rides to begin with. There are some Avatar-themed food options that are creative and the atmospheric music adds a lot to set the tone. This area of the park is newer so that also means it was well designed for crowd control and flow. It never seems overly crowded over here.

My two year old was probably a bit confused about what was going on when we climbed into our safari vehicle, and I'm not sure she was totally on board throughout the ride to be honest. Although we've been to Lincoln Park Zoo, she was very very young at the time and would not remember being this close to an animal that wasn't on the level of a dog, snake, or turtle. So whilst I think being mere feet from giraffes, elephants, and wildebeests was unexpected, she said she enjoyed it. The driver was informative and didn't make the embarrassing jokes that the "captain" of the Jungle Cruise did, for which I'm thankful. In addition to the aforementioned animals, we came across black and white rhinos, lions, hippos, cheetahs, flamingos, and more. The ride was leisurely and comfortable, and there's no height requirement so anyone can ride. This was a lot of fun to start our first visit to Disney World. It's a very popular ride, apparently. 45+ minute wait times are not uncommon. We used a lightning lane to cut through most of it but we did have to wait 10 minutes or so before we got on. I'd definitely recommend lightening lanes for this one!
