The owner was not helpful and was borderline confrontational - and on top of that the services he provided were pitiful for the price. It looks like another reviewer on Google experienced a something similar, and it blows my mind that this guy lets a dangerous animal attack multiple customers. Avoid at all costs! Mr. Bart left me a voicemail to tell me that a piece of furniture I dropped off for repairs was ready, so I stopped by shortly after 3 PM on the way home from work. Before I could get both feet in the door, his dog ran around the corner and bit my knee completely unprovoked, causing multiple puncture wounds. I backed up and used the door to get it off of me instead of striking it and making the situation worse. When Bart finally showed up, all he did was chastise me because I didn't say I was coming... during his posted business hours... after he left me a voicemail saying to come in. He didn't provide shot records for his dog or offer any compensation for the injuries it caused me, or the damage it did to my uniform pants with its bite. Over the next few weeks I had to take a number of medications and undergo a series of tests because Bart didn't inform me if his dog was up-to-date on its shots, and I couldn't be sure what diseases it did or didn't have (though based on its disposition and the condition of the shop I couldn't be sure it was healthy). I filed a complaint with animal law enforcement, and I hope that they hold Bart accountable - he did the cowardly thing and didn't make any effort to make things right. Even after a military discount, Bart's price for minor repairs to a single chair came to $195. Keep in mind, he held onto it without making any progress for two months, claiming at first that there were issues with his CNC machine, and then later "life events" that he wouldn't elaborate on. He offered no discount for the delay despite admittedly doing almost nothing for two months. For the price he charged, the delay and quality of his finished work were equally disappointing. The condition I got my chair back in was rough: it was completely covered in dust from Bart's shop - he made no effort to clean the mess he left on my furniture. It looked as if wood glue was absentmindedly dripped on the chair during his "fix." To make things worse, little to no effort was made to conceal the join. On top of that, the shop is filthy. Bart definitely smokes indoors, and the smell was inescapable - so much so that I had to febreeze my chair multiple times when I got home! A number of full fly ribbon traps covered what parts of the walls didn't have cigarette or tobacco posters. If you were to tell me that his shop hadn't been cleaned since the invention of the internet, I would believe you without any hesitation. I was initially quite put-off by the condition of his shop, but wanted to support a local tradesman, so I held my nose, gave him the benefit of the doubt, and waited to see what he could do. Instead, I was ripped off for a pathetic quality of work that took two months, and sent to the ER completely unprovoked by Bart's dog. The only reason TimberWolf Design & Woodworking gets one out of five stars from me is because there's not an option to give them a zero - or less. Do your wallet, your nose, your lungs, and your furniture a favor and take your business somewhere else that actually deserves it.

It was perfect! I read the review from Pam that was 1-star and can't believe the gull of people! You have to provide materials; Pine is different from Oak, which is different from Redwood, and how does any business quote without exactly knowing what the customers wants? Shame of Pamela for leaving a negative review for an honest and good local business. My experience was positive, and I would highly recommend this company to anyone.
