I came here on a family reunion. I guess the best way to describe this resort is... rustic. The cabins were reminiscent of junior high school science camp. The facility had a few meeting rooms, a pool, live animals where you could feed and some hiking trails. I would say basically it would be between more "civilization" than camping out in the woods and beneath motel 6 (the one where you can hear someone getting laid down the hall since the walls are really thin). Pro's: - Really great for big groups to all "camp" out together - Provides food in a dining hall which is nice - Able to feed the horses and goats which is interesting - Wifi all over the camp. Weird you can't get reception but you can facetime... Con's: - Not much to do on resort. Most of the facilities are super run down - Food was really expensive. Meal per person was about $21. Food was absolutely crap. Then again some of my party loved how the greens were hand picked down the street. That's fine if it was $11 per person, but for $21... - A little expensive for what your really paying for... Comments: It's rustic. The staff can be nice depending on who you speak to.

This place is a GEM of a find and we're so lucky to have stumbled upon it. Every family we met was a repeat visitor, and I'm certain we will be as well! From reading prior reviews, it seems that others perhaps did not do their research. This is a rustic cabin outsoor setting. Amenities are perfectly adequate and as described: over a 100-year-old property in a continued state of upkeep. No AC in the cabins, but they provide fans. There is so much to do on the property for our kids, a 2-year-old and a 3-year-old: feeding the animals, hiking, playing in the creek, tennis and basketball court, paddle boats in the lake, swimming pool, game room, playing with all the dogs... it was endless! And if we wanted to leave the property, it was a 10 minute drive to Calistoga, and even shorter drive to the Petrified Forest which we really loved. We also took a day trip to Armstrong Woods (like Muirwood's but way better) and the beach. Hands-down, this was a perfect Labor day retreat for our family of four. We told our kids we were going "camping," but this sure beats packing tents and cooking your own food. Speaking of which, the FOOD! Unbelievable breakfast every day, and we paid for a couple dinners as well that were out of this world. We feel so lucky to a found this place and we are certain that we will be back with more friends and family in the future. A wonderful retreat and a nice way to get out of the city and let our kids roll around in some dirt. Thank you!

No one greeted us or acknowledged us at the entrance, so we were left standing around unsure of what to do until a busser finally asked if we were dining in. He brought us water, but after that, no one came back to check on us or even give us menus. We actually had to grab menus ourselves from the front stand. After waiting quite a while, we had to call the busser over ourselves to let someone know we were ready to order. He told us he wasn't our server and just stood there looking at us, so I asked if he could please get the server for us instead. He responded that the server was "a little busy right now." Meanwhile, the server was behind the bar continuing whatever they were doing and never once acknowledged us. At that point, we felt completely ignored and unwelcome, so we decided to get up and leave. Basic customer service, communication, and attentiveness would have gone a long way

May 2, 2026 - Santa Rosa…read more This has become our go-to spot whenever we're in Santa Rosa. The bike racing theme gives it a fun, unique vibe, and the atmosphere is always warm and welcoming. Service is consistently quick and friendly--but definitely make reservations, because this place is always busy. We started with their delicious house bread served alongside an olive tapenade--such a great way to kick things off. We also ordered a bottle of the Tom Mackey Cellars 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon, which paired nicely with everything that followed. For appetizers, we shared the grilled polenta and calamari, both of which were excellent. For my main, I ordered the house special seafood risotto, which was flavorful and perfectly cooked. My husband had the Spaghetti Pescatore--loaded with wild prawns, clams, calamari, fresh scallops, and fish of the day in a light tomato, garlic, and olive oil sauce--and it was just as good as it sounds. Around the table, we also had the lamb ravioli, Spaghetti Levi Leipheimer, and the Gnocchi Riviera, and every dish was a hit. Consistently great food, a lively atmosphere, and reliable service make this our must-do restaurant while in Santa Rosa.

Service was good, we enjoyed the bread and our bottle of chianti. They served olive tapenade with the bread. We both had salads that we enjoyed very much, the arugula with fennel, goat cheese, golden beets & balsamic and the RADICCHIO salad with pear, gorganzola cheese, fennel & balsamic. We both loved our entrees: They were just perfect: SPAGHETTI PESCATORA FETTUCCINE BOLOGNESE To top it off we shared a Tiramisu for dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious. The service was good and prompt, the very boisterous waiter was kind, enthusiastic, and sometimes hard to understand. All in all it was a great experience. The vibe is old school Italian restaurant. I love that their wine list has plenty of Italian wines because CA wines give me a migraine. Its a sweet place that I will return to.

The music-themed decor on the walls added a bit of character to the space. We sat ourselves at a table, grabbed a menu we saw sitting near the bar at the center of the venue, and found an employee walking around to place our food order. He was friendly and helpful and provided excellent service. It took about 25 minutes for our food to be ready which was kinda long, but after trying our dishes, it was totally worth the wait. The potato skins were like mini loaded baked potatoes, but fluffier and easier to eat. It was super cheesy and tastier than I expected, especially with the ranch and sour cream that came on the side. The classic pot pie was a large dish and quite filling, with plenty of sizable chunks of chicken and veggies mixed together nicely in a thick and flavorful roux. Not to mention the flaky buttery crust on top. Wow, I really liked this. And my bf finished every last bite of his grilled salmon dish, no complaints. The lemon drop cocktail was yummy, just the right sweetness and a good amount of alcohol without ruining the flavor.
