After getting into a car accident on my way to work, I needed my rear wheel replaced, so I brought it to Tracy Cyclery. When I dropped it off, I was told vaguely that someone would call me with more details. After about a month with no update, I called them myself and was told that my bike had essentially just been sitting on a shelf. I agreed to have the necessary parts ordered and was told it would be ready for pickup in about a week. Two weeks later, having heard nothing, I called again. I was then asked if I wanted the parts ordered. I explained that I had already spoken with someone two weeks earlier and had already agreed to have them ordered. I was told, "I guess it just slipped through the cracks," and was assured that I would receive an update soon. After another week and a half with no response, I called again and was told the bike still wasn't ready. At that point, I decided to pick up my wheel and take it somewhere else for service. When I came in today to pick it up, I was hoping to have a respectful conversation and simply have my concerns acknowledged. Instead, the owner argued with me about the situation, completely shut me out, and ultimately turned his back on me while I was trying to explain my frustration and seek some understanding. After weeks of having to repeatedly follow up myself, I found that response extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I understand that mistakes happen, especially at a small business. What was most frustrating, however, was having to initiate every follow-up myself and repeatedly discovering that little or no progress had been made. Given that this bike is my only transportation, the lack of communication and job tracking had a real impact on me. I hope this feedback helps improve communication, repair tracking, and customer service in the future. I ultimately had to take my business elsewhere. If you value your time, money, and quality service, do not go here.

I also found out that I would have to drive to their shop to pick it up, which I was not told. I called back the next day and asked for a refund so I could order it online and have it shipped directly to my home. They eventually called me and told me they had one at the store and would prepare it and the owner/manager would personally deliver it to my home. Today they called, and during the call I asked whether the seat with the backrest was included in the order, since the price did not reflect that. I was told that the seat was only for the trike. Whoever called me on 8/17 got upset and said, why not just cancel the order and that they would refund me since that seat was not for the XP4. I went to the main company website and found it under accessories for the XP4 and ordered it. I found that this particular shop is not very informed about the product. I realized I knew more about what I was ordering than they did. I recommend ordering through the online store on the main site. I hope repairs and support are better than sales.

Later, I received an email from Velofix saying the time was actually 11 AM-1 PM, but I didn't notice the change right away. On the morning of the appointment, I called Velofix to clarify, and the representative told me it was too late to adjust anything and that I should've contacted them earlier. I let it go and agreed to keep the 11-1 window, rearranging my work schedule to be available. No one showed up. At 1:30 PM, I had to call my wife to let her know, and she followed up with Velofix -- only to be told the case had been closed because the service was "out of scope." No one informed me. I was literally on the phone with them that same morning and they said nothing about not coming. This whole experience showed a complete lack of communication and disregard for people's time. I won't be using Velofix again and wouldn't recommend them.

The camp used to be good but there is a complete lack of discipline this year. There is a lack of…read moreoversight from the camp staff, and group of kids were bullying others on an ongoing basis. At one point, the kids were fighting with one another with rocks. Even after being spoken to, the kids were allowed to retaliate further by urinating right next to another group of kids who were eating snacks. This was acceptable behavior. The camp counselors were also allowed to jump on their bikes over the kids heads. Again, this was seen to be acceptable. We will not be returning to this camp.

These guys are so awesome. They really know their stuff…read more I've heard that they know how to build wheels from scratch, which is a lost art. I went in there for a very obscure part and they managed to find it with like three minutes until closing time. It was this washer that is part of my front fork assembly, one of those washers that keeps the wheel from falling out even if the skewer comes undone. Anyway, they had it, they gave it to me for free, and it just made me realize that places like this are amazing and rare and we should definitely support them. So I do! And so should you. Next time I'll buy something that cost more than $0... (I did throw some money into the tip jar)
