I wanted to share some feedback regarding the Pedego Bike Shop in Livermore based on my recent experiences. While the shop appears to excel in its core rental business--reflected in consistently positive customer reviews and a strong reputation for providing a smooth, enjoyable rental experience--the same level of performance does not seem to carry over to its sales and customer communication practices. In particular, the sales process felt less organized and attentive than expected. Communication around product availability, follow-up, and overall customer engagement could be improved to better match the high standard set by the rental side of the business. Clearer, more proactive communication and a more structured approach to sales would likely enhance customer confidence and satisfaction. Given the success of the rental operation, there is a strong foundation to build upon. I would suggest that by aligning the sales activity that has been primarily driven by the 2025/26 AVA rebate program to closely match what has been demonstrated in rentals would significantly strengthen the overall customer experience. In addition it appears based on investigation additional costs to consumers ( shipping and to some users higher assembly costs) were added when submitting a sales request via the AVA program. Based on these experiences I would not recommend using Pedego for the reminder of the 2026 AVA program.. I hope this constructive feedback is helpful and contributes to continued improvement. read more

I finally got my bike and it's a beauty; Mike was as usual helpful in going over features I might not readily know. So, 4 stars now, one minus for all the hassle and poor communication while waiting 4 months. As for the bike: 2 unexpected pluses - in Eco mode (most used) the torque assist gives a blistering acceleration and due to the lightness of the bike, 0 to 18 mph in a flash; second, and again due to bike's lightness pedaling with motor assist completely off like a regular road bike is not a problem; and helpful when the battery is low. 5 stars on this bike. read more

I treated myself to a birthday present and took a road-trip to Pedego Electric Bikes Livermore where I was warmly greeted by Mike and Bret. I had spoken with Mike last week and he was holding a couple of sizes of the fantastic Pedego Merino Wool Sweater for me to try for fit. Yippee, I love it. Mike also offered me a complimentary bike to ride and see some of beautiful Livermore, CA. He gave me maps and eagerly gave of his time to go over the best places to ride. Livermore is beautiful with a vibrant downtown full of eateries and shops, great bike trails and easy Bike access to 44 wineries in the Livermore Valley. Best of all, Mike and Pedego Livermore is in the heart of it all! Great, we'll-stocked full service Pedego store. I arrived at 11AM just as one of their Winery Bike Tours was leaving. They offer several options for bike tours which sound Hello Fun. While in the store I met a really nice older couple looking to buy e-Bikes. So of course we chatted endlessly about all the reasons Pedego is the best choice. When I returned after my ride they were still there, test riding several and trying to decide which bikes they wanted. I think the Mrs was going with a beautiful 24" mineral blue Boomer. My ride through downtown and on the Arroyo Bike Trail was sunny, beautiful and great. Flowers everywhere! There is super easy access through a beautiful neighborhood to this trail from the store. Stop by and say hi to Mike for me and rent a fabulous Pedego or buy one for yourself. read more

Beware of this Scam Artist owner Jim Buck. On August /15/2024 him and his shop manager have sold me an Electric Pedego Tandem bike with an undisclosed manufacturer Recalled and Discontinued due to the manufacturing defective components. After taking the heavy bike back and force for repair every week for 10 months, which resulted absolutely no solutions. Tried to returned the bike, but Jim refused to take the bike back, which resulted me filing with the Small Claim court which he lost. He even went for appeal trying to delay the process but he lost the appeal court, judgement to my favor upon returning the bike back to him. I did returned the bike on April/04/2026. But up until now he has not complying and refusing to pay the Judgement ordered by court. I'm taking this Scam Artists back to the court . I'll be posting the results. The court case number is 25SC124401 if you like to check the details. I'm not trying to destroy anyone's business. But this business is praying on elderly. I'm 71 year old retired guy on a very low fix tight budget . I can't afford to lose over $4k which I've paid for this bike. read more

First time coming to Livermore biking to rent e-bikes and bike along the wineries/parks in Livermore. Such a fun activity and would highly recommend. You can make reservations online or just call in to check if there's any availability for drop in. We opted to just call in the day off and check on availability as it was just my bf and I and we wanted some flexibility in our arrival time. There is a parking lot in the back of the store with plenty of parking. We came on a Saturday afternoon around 2pm and the store wasn't busy. The person working there (Mike) was super helpful in getting us started on our biking trip. He demonstrated and explained to us how to use the e-bikes as I never rode on a e-bike before. It's actually very easy and rather easy to get the hang off. We weren't familiar with the Livermore area so he also started us off with a map/instructions on a biking route we could take that also avoided city streets. The biking route was very nice, pretty chill paths that for the most part was evenly paved roads for biking. We passed by the vineyards and a field with horses and even saw some people riding horses on our biking path. Rental pricing was about $25 for an hr but we received a discount which was very nice! Overall, highly recommend coming here to rent e-bikes and explore Livermore. read more

We had an incredible experience with Pedego in Livermore. Jim is a super cool guy and made the entire experience comfortable and simple. He told me, "You're going to have a blast on these." He undersold it. The rides were so much fun that it's all we talked about for days. Everyone wants their own Pedego now. My wife and I have biked nearly everywhere there is to bike in Brentwood, but throttling around the most familiar streets and trails was a totally new experience and pretty exciting. It was also extra special because family came in from out of town, and they can no longer do much manual biking. Jim and Mike at Pedego gave us a chance to show them around Brentwood in a way we never thought we could. Wife and I rented two of the ebikes from Pedego Livermore. The online rental and payment process were simple. The cost was well worth it. Rental building is near the tasting room of Concannon Winery and you can even do a ride then a tasting. Mike helped us with our rental and explained how to use the bikes in very easy to understand terms. We brought a lunch and followed the path given to us on a map. What a blast! When we returned we spoke to Jim, the owner, as we were interested in eventually purchasing our own bikes. Jim gave us good information about the types of bikes and the amenities. Everyone at the store is courteous and helpful. My husband and I rented some e-bikes and went wine tasting in Livermore this weekend to celebrate his birthday and we had a blast!! Highly recommend! We stopped at Wood Family Wines, McGrail, and Concannon. The only thing I'd change would be to only do 2 wineries. We felt a bit rushed and I would've liked to just ride around on the bikes a bit more. Great experience, they really do deserve their 5 star rating. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Just really exceptional service and such a fun way to explore the wine country. The online bike rental sign up is easy and you do your waiver online as well. Both of the owners were wonderful. You arrive and they set you up and give you a tutorial and you can take the bike for a spin in the large parking lot before heading out to get use to the bike. They also give you a map and a few recommendations. They give you a helmet and bike lock as well. The bike has lights built in too for when it gets dark. The ebikes were fun to ride! There are some rolling hills in the Livermore wine country so it was great to have the boost. Rental priced at $40 for two hours or $75 for the day. They also do tours if you prefer that to go as a group with a guide. This would be a great corporate team building event or just go out with a bunch of friends. read more

The folks at Pedego were super helpful by not only giving us a map but went over it with us in depth before we left. If there were MORE stars - I would certainly provide. What an unexpected and wonderful experience this was for me and my mom; it truly made my birthday truly special and hopeful. Before I go into detail: Mike...it was an absolute pleasure working with him! He was so attentive, helpful, supportive, encouraging, patient and dedicated. A true representation of an excellent company to begin a relationship with. He wasn't about pushing the experience to sell a bike - he was about making this a welcomed and lovely introduction to what e-bikes could provide and making lasting customers. I walked away with excitement. Now for the details of my visit: It was my mom who suggested an e-bike outing for a birthday activity. She made this suggestion because it's hard to find activities for me to do because of my debilitating health issues. I used to very active person and now I have many restrictions. However, she thought that since an e-bike could require far less peddling and be more of like a 'scooter', that I could perhaps give it a try. And I am SO glad I did! From the time that Mike took my reservation - I could tell he was all about personal connection and experience-making. He was flexible from the start and said that "we will just see how it goes - you can rent by the hour, no pressure. " I had also explained that my mom hadn't been on a bike in years and he said, "No problem! We have people of all ages and skill levels." When I arrived on my birthday, the store was quiet and Mike was waiting with a smile. He got us signed up and then proceeded to spend nearly two hours of dedicated time with us - ensuring we were properly fitted and felt comfortable on our bikes, answered every question, and explained every step in detail so that we could feel confident about taking our first approach. He stayed with us as we were in the parking lot out back and gave us pointers, encouragements and zero pressure to "get going". He wanted us to feel secure, confident and that we could safely manage and truly enjoy these bikes. Although we didn't get out on a real bike ride as others may likely do - we were not disappointed in our adventure at all! We felt like we set the foundation and groundwork to truly build up to making this a fun and new way for us (especially me) to get active. At the end of 'getting our feet wet', Mike took me out on the main street for a few block loop and provided security, safety and my "eyes and ears" so that I could get up to speed and get a real sense of what the e-bike could do. This entire experience made me feel like I could get some semblance of normalcy back in an outdoor activity. Because I could mostly throttle and didn't have to peddle, I didn't have to depend on my own body strength (lack there of) to keep going. And although there was weight to the bike and balance needed, once it was in motion, it stabilized and propelled itself and I didn't feel so much physical strain or exertion. Yes, when I decided that I had done "enough" for the day, my legs were certainly weak and I needed to really depend upon my walker, I was not discouraged in the slightest and felt like I could and would do this again - 100% Mike said that I could come back any time and try to give it another go and build up my confidence. He did make me aware that since it was a slower Thursday, he had the time to spend with me, but that it *may* not always be the case on other days, however, he said that I could just call and check to see how things were and head on down to "play around" again. I am so hopeful in this for me - truly! I am so bound and limited on getting out and this could potentially allow me to really get out and enjoy an adventure and feel some semblance of normalcy in my life. I am beyond happy with deciding to do this and cannot wait to get back in there and try another go! PLEASE give Pedego a try! You aren't just getting a bike - you are getting GREAT people behind the brand and that's a lost aspect of businesses and products these days. We need more of these and more "Mikes" in the world! I love the store and its products. First the store, all the staff and owners are incredibly friendly. They take the time to explain their products and you never feel pressure to purchase anything. You're allowed to test drive the bikes to see which one best fits you at no cost to you. And the bikes are amazing. I purchased an Avenue two years ago and have found it to be amazing, even though my wife told me not to buy it because I would get bored of it after one month of riding. After a year of never getting bored and 1200 miles later, she asked me when she would get her bike. Well, we just purchased a platinum city commuter for her and she loves it. We are now spending quality time together riding the bikes. As Pedigo says, "go,fun". A friend purchased an online bike for cheaper and wasn't able to test drive it before the purchase. At first, it appeared to be a great deal as it had many features for a reasonable price. After riding it, I realized why it was cheaper. I was not comfortable at all riding the bike, even after making many adjustments. It had a torque sensor which would engage and disengage even while consistently peddling. The rearview mirror would constantly move all the time. I really felt this online bike used the cheapest products, whereas Pedigo does not. In summary, you cannot go wrong, purchasing a bike through Pedigo. You will have an incredible warranty, immediate and friendly support, a bike you can try on before you purchase and a product of high-quality. Thank you Jim, Loretta, Mike and Brett.
