I was here a few days ago, and I'm just getting a chance to write a review. This review is mostly for the food ( very good ) and the service ( they were really trying hard ). First, the food. We got the vegetarian pizza, and it was overflowing with toppings ( in a good way). It was just me and my wife, and we got a large; there were plenty of leftovers ( which we ate over the next few days after our visit). In terms of the staff, it became clear pretty quickly that they were understaffed the evening we went in for dinner. We decided to eat there, since it wasn't crowded, but there were a lot of people coming in to get take out orders and such. We overheard a few other customers who were complaining about online orders not being ready when they came to pick them up, but the staff on hand just kept at it. They seemed to be doing the best they could under the circumstances. I would certainly go back when I'm in the area. If the slow service was a regular thing, then I might have to reconsider. I ordered one pizza online. Showed up 30 minutes later and they said it's going to take an additional 10 minutes. 20 minutes pass and they said they accidentally gave our pizza away to someone else. Meanwhile, our food from another restaurant had been ready even though I ordered it at a later time. People here work slo-mo like they have all the time in the world. read more

Enjoyed the Valentine Pepperoni pizza! The restaurant is always clean,which I always appreciate; however I would not recommend the Cherry pie, it was a cheese pizza with cherries on top. Definitely not dessert. read more

Mountain Mikes in Aptos is so good. I just love this place. The Pizzas are always so fresh and tasty with loads of quality toppings. And they have a terrific beer selection. The employees are very friendly every time. And it's very clean inside with a nice TV to watch the games. They also have an awesome promotion, if the 49ers win you get 49percent off a speciality pizza the following Tuesday or Wednesday by using their Mountain Mikes app. How can you not love a deal like this. My son had his end of year party for soccer here and there were well over 40 people in attendance. The owner and his wife were friendly and made us some delicious pizzas. Price gouging. 20" says $40.99, billion says $54.49 (to go) I mean where's the markup come from? As it turns out the difference in pricing is written in very small letters at the bottom right of the menu on the wall far behind and above the cash register (kind of like a warning label on cigarettes) Their take it or forget it attitude will not have me coming back either. read more

Mike's has great pizza! I don't even like pizza but I'm a fan of Mike's. There are a ton of toppings and the crust/dough is a bit crispy which I love. They slice the pizza into small slices which we don't mind because it helps when we lie to ourselves about how much we're going to eat. My husband and I are big fans of the robber's roost in particular and we have never had any problems with the customer service. We tend to order online and have asked for specific sauces (ranch and marinara) and they've never forgotten to include anything. There are also always coupons available when you order through the website. Highly recommend! read more

The deliveries show up on time, and when you open the box, the pizza is hot and as you ordered it. Ordered a large Pizza, which is 14 inches in diameter. They slice it into very small slices. My daughter likes Mt Mike's but I think it's mediocre. There's no flavor. And a 14 inch specialty pizza is about $35. Now, the restaurant was clean though there was nobody in there. Overall, I'm not a fan. Pizza My Heart is still much better and the pie is bigger for about $3 more. read more

I really missed Mountain Mikes Snowy Alps pizza. It's one of my favorites. After a very bad experience in Watsonville, I was thinking it wouldn't be a regular pizza for me anymore, then Aptos opened. The staff there has always been nice and friendly and it didn't take long for them to get their stride. I wonder if some of the bad reviews I've seen were from right after they opened because I had issues at first but now they're always on point. I've never eaten in but it always looks clean and presents itself like any other pizza place. I'm glad this location opened so I can have one nearby. read more

I am a fan of Moutain Mike's and not all locations are the same. Two reasons I am not a fan of this location...I called in to order some pizza and the lady wanted to charge me $19 for garlic sticks which is ~$5 since I asked for gluten-free bread. Most locations I go to usually don't charge extra or charge $3 more. I said I did not want any sauce but they still me sauce which would have been fine. However, they put it upside down and the lid was not closed properly so it spilled everywhere when I lifted it off. Pass! read more

I ordered Mountain Mike's for a family gathering at the beach recently. Mountain Mike's Pizza in Aptos is my absolute favorite place to go for pizza. The pizzas were incredibly delicious and looked amazing! The staff was so friendly and made me feel extremely welcome. The restaurant is always spotless and has such a wonderful atmosphere. Plus, I didn't know they deliver to the beach! I can't recommend this place enough to anyone looking for delicious pizza. We've been ordering from Village Host (VH) in Aptos for several years, but we were interested in trying the new Mountain Mikes (MM) Pizza in the Rancho Del Mar Shopping Center. We order for a family of four adults. This is not a side-by-side comparison as we already know what we will get from Village Host. Starting with the website, we found it difficult to order. The MM website kept refreshing on our iPad and it opened three new web pages before we could order from the Aptos location. From MM, we ordered a large 14" McKinley ($29.99), medium 12" cheese ($20.99), 6pc plain wings ($10.99), 6pc Stingin' Honey Garlic Wings ($10.99), and small garlic sticks with cheese ($7.99). The website gave us $5.00 a large pizza VH doesn't have wings, so we can just compare the pizzas to the large Village Combination ($32.05), medium cheese pizza ($18.20), and small garlic chips ($10.50). The VH website gives $4.00 a large pizza. Overall, prices are comparable. We believe the VH pizzas are bigger for each size, but not positive (size isn't mentioned on the VH website). The MM order was delivered fairly quickly and was hot. We normally pick up from VH as delivery usually takes ~45 minutes. The VH Village Combo was decidedly better than the MM McKinley. We were searching for meat on the McKinley and the veggies stole the show. The Village Combo is noticeably loaded with meat, but has a good balance of meat and veggies. The MM cheese pizza definitely has more cheese than VH. Both could use more marinara sauce. The VH garlic chips are much more garlicky. The MM garlic sticks with cheese just tasted like cheese and no noticeable garlic flavor. The MM wings were good, hot, and flavorful. We could taste a little heat in the background of the Stingin' Honey Garlic Wings, but with "Stingin'" in the title, we were expecting more. Overall, not a bad experience from MM, but not "... ohhhh, I'm going back for THAT!" So for us, it was average food. We prefer Village Host. read more

The cleanest restaurant I've ever been in, and that makes me feel better about the food I am eating.
