We ordered a salad, a medium pizza, and wings from Mountain Mike's in St. George, and overall the experience was pretty underwhelming. The food may have suffered a bit from being lukewarm by the time it got to us, but even considering that, nothing really stood out. The pizza didn't have anything special going for it, the crust, sauce, and overall flavor were pretty average. Unfortunately, it tasted even worse the next day as leftovers. The wings were also a letdown. They were on the smaller side, though the BBQ flavor itself was decent enough. I'm visiting my parents and ordered a pizza for the family. The place looked good and was crowded. I ordered one large half cheese (for kids) the other half ordered ham, mushrooms, green bell peppers, pineapple sun dried tomatoes, and onions. Picked up the pizza and they dumped olives (one family member allergic) so I took it back explain and they said they will only make the half with olives again. Fine Great. They make it and this time no olives (yeah!) but they didn't add the dried tomatoes. We already wasted 20 minutes the first time and then had to wait another 15 minutes more. We had a good first experience with the McKinley (combo), Everest (lots of meat), and the Aloha BBQ Chicken. A bit pricy, but nice thickness of crust and the fresh tomatoes & spices added a nice flavor. The general manager, Robbi, was so kind & patient to answer our many questions. We appreciated the offer to do a half & half pizza so that we could try more flavors and they didn't skimp on the cheese (like a lot of places are doing now). Next time, we will come try their lunch special with all-you-can-eat salad bar & pizza. We also look forward to trying their extra large 20-slice size for our next party! I would eat here again (don't assume the 3 stars is a poor rating from me). Smaller sized dining area with lots of TV screens showing a variety of sports events for a Thursday afternoon. Ordering is done at the counter where the menu has descriptions of their offerings (pizza, salad, wings, lunch buffet, sides and some desserts). Nice variety for all appetites. We ordered 2 - 10" pizzas (the smallest size offered). The McKinley and the create-your-own pizza were properly baked with good tasting crust and a nice amount of toppings. We each ate about half of our individual pizzas before becoming full so we had leftovers for another meal. The pizzas were better fresh in the restaurant than reheated the next day (most pizzas are) so order the correct pizza size to your group's appetite level and enjoy finishing it off there. They have about 8 offerings of beer but the guy at the register that afternoon was underage so we just opted for sodas from the Pepsi fountain rather than have them pull someone from the kitchen staff to serve beer. read more

I love this pizza place. It's got a nice dining room, a lunch buffet and their pizza is second to none. The dough is soft and flail with the perfect amount of yeast and salt. The toppings are thick and flavorful. I always know that when I'm in town, this is THE pizza place when you are craving that Za! The staff is always friendly and helpful. We just had the best experience at Mountain Mike's in Hurricane. Michelle was so sweet. She introduced us to the staff, the owner and the manager. We felt like it was a family reunion. The pizza was incredible. We ended up eating the whole pizza (which we never do) because it was so good. They have a buffet Monday through Friday from 11am to 2pm with at least 10 types of pizza and a salad bar. Very irritated with our experience here. We traveled to Zion from CA, and my son has been obsessed with trying a mountain mikes since they sponsor the Angel's. So on our way home we made a quick stop to try it out. Super disappointed, mostly with the staff and atmosphere they created. At first two young girls were extremely rude and unhelpful when we arrived, they literally sat around while tables needed to be cleaned. Then it toook FOREVER to get our pizza it was supposed to be a quick stop. Then to top off our experience the staff started fighting!!! It was extremely awkward! And frustrating. We called to order pizza while we were out running errands and we're glad to know it would be ready within 20 minutes. We ordered the Everest Pizza which has just about everything you could think of in a pizza. We also tried the pepperoni which is very spicy to my taste and the cheese pizza. The pizzas are made with this delicious medium thick crust which is a little chewy but not doughy. The pizzas are piled high with toppings. The staff was very friendly and helpful and provided paper plates, napkins, pepper flakes and parmesan cheese packets. Truly very good pizza. read more

While the pizza isn't bad the service here isn't the best. Young kids not sure how to talk to you, listen or take an order. She didn't know what they serve, e.i. Beer, when we noticed the beer sign she was like, oh yeah but we don't have anyone old enough to service it to you. Then get a phone call from a delivery driver at 10:01 saying he can't find my house when I m staying at sand hollow villas which isn't hard to find 8 mins away. He was 30 mins away because the not so smart employees gave him an address to a different delivery. Good luck getting a pizza delivered by these incompetent employees. The teenage employees at the register need some coaching/training on customer service. They weren't rude, just not friendly or warm. It took a long time to get the 1 medium pizza and wings we ordered. Several people after us were served before us. Then we watched the teen employee ask every other table if part of our order was theirs before eventually coming to our table. It seems a better process should be in place. For the quick take away, do not go here for a meal! I like to be fair in my reviews but there are now two places that will live on my list for the worst experience. The Blue Pig in Moab Utah and this spot. We arrived from traveling all day to our local Air BNB and needed a few items from Wal Mart. We were hungry after all of this, and decided to check out this spot for pizza. We walked in to three other tables that were sat and overall the restaurant was quiet. We noticed two young teen girls behind the counter. We were not greeted, but asked if we were "ready to order"... which we weren't. We wanted to glance at the menu above. The girl barely acknowledged, walked back to friend and resumed talking to boy behind in the kitchen. We had to ask her if she could take our order a few minutes later. She took the order and handed us our beverage cups. We looked for a spot to sit but four tables were empty of customers but full of dirty dishes. We sat by the window. Unfortunately we observed behavior that continued to be unprofessional and unsanitary. The two girls and boy in kitchen continued their conversation, which included the topic of which chores or cleaning they (the two girls) would have to do. One of the girls began eating her food in plain sight, and played with her hair (long) all the while the buffet is right behind her. Eventually, the one girl decided to start cleaning and grabbed a large waste basket (like outdoor garbage can) started wheeling it across the restaurant and cleaning plates into it. She than returned to the counter by buffet and the other girl started picking items in the buffet that needed to be cleaned up with her hands and tossing into this large basket. (She had not washed her hands since eating her own food at the counter and now her hands are in the buffet) . We had ordered an appetizer and it was brought out. "Here you go" and set down. Only to find the pizza knots marinara sauce was frozen. I brought it back to the counter (having to interrupt the girls conversation) and than she told me she would get us a new sauce. She grabbed it but than said "here you go" from behind the cash register and I got up and walked over to grab it. Our pizza was served hot, but when brought to table the girl told my husband to move the pizza tray into position without any simple please or thank you. And she walked back to counter to resume conversation with others. The pizza is below average, think frozen style dry crunchy crust, and cheese that doesn't really melt. I sincerely never write negative reviews, I love giving great reviews or gentle feedback... but truly this was a really poor experience. They have an Ad at Jellystone campground advertising 15% discount code which was not honored then I asked for a cup of marinara and was told they were going to charge me for it. My family had the pleasure of having Mountain Mikes pizza deliver to us twice while we stayed at Jellystone Park. The first night we had a Pepperoni Pizza and mozzarella sticks. The only thing I didn't care for was the marinara sauce was extremely cold like it was previously defrosted. The pizza was delicious and covered in crispy cupped pepperonis! Second day, we ordered a ham sandwich and salami sandwich, fries, and spicy boneless Korean wings. The sandwiches were toasted and simple but really good. I'm really picky about my pizza and I'm not going to lie, Mountain Mikes is awesome! We absolutely love their pizzas! Not a huge place, good indoor and out door sitting. Now, if you want a fantastic lunch buffet, salad bar is well stocked and the variety of pizza is too! I love the fact the slices are thin, this way you get to try all of them! Pepperoni is my fav of course and they do NOT skimp on it, they load it and the taste, fantastic! The place is always clean and the service a 10! As an Italian I had many pizzas. My wife and I ordered a 14 inch pizza half cheese/ half sausage, and two drinks. The register wanted you to give a tip. Mine you this is a self service restaurant and you pickup your own trash. Unfortunately the pizza tasted like the box pizzas you get out of a grocery store. I'm sorry for the truth. Pizza is end to end topped. Sauce to the edge, cheese, and toppings. Their pepperoni are the little cups, yes greasy, but you're not going for healthy. Use a napkin to sop up the extra grease. We ordered previously the original crust previously, and it was a bit thick for our liking, so we decided to try the thin next time. Today (next time), we tried a thin crust pizza named, 'The Everest.' It comes with pepperoni, Italian sausage, linguica, beef, mushrooms, black olives, green (bell) peppers, and onions. I'm giving two stars simply because we were still able to eat the food. I've tried a lot of food from different pizza spots before. Never before have I spent nearly $100 at a pizza spot and not enjoyed the food. 3 boxes of pizza and a small box of wings. That was the order that amounted to over $90 and we couldn't even get the right amount of plates for everyone. Each pizza was cut so, uniquely, that I honestly feel like it's just for show. Each pizza was cut into at least 14+ slices all uneven and the pizzas falling apart when picking them up. The taste was quite honestly not worth the money spent for the order. You ever take a bite of your food and look around to your friends hoping someone else will say what you're thinking first? That was us. Everyone took a slice or two (hence the pictures of the pizzas not being full) and we all looked up at each other. Everyone agreed, for a pizza spot, it was not that good. The small box of wings, which were better than the pizza, were $16+ (I'll let you do the rest of the math for the order). They were the tiniest wings (literally) I've ever seen and there were not many of them either. To give perspective, back home we have Publix. A 20 piece box of wings (absolutely delicious) is $18 and they're huge. I truly hope my pictures do justice to show why this review is being written the way it is. As visitors, we weren't pleased with Mountain Mike's Pizza. From the restaurant not providing enough plates for everyone, to the food not being good, to the price point not making sense for the quality of the food received .
