The food and the service were outstanding well worth the trip from St George or anywhere

Small town pizza shop-with a total of three employees running the place on a busy Saturday afternoon. The team worked hard to keep the operation flowing and while it wasn't perfect, I applaud their effort! The food came out in decent time and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the salad-it was much better than the simple bagged salad I expected. And the Ranch dressing was on point! Moments after we ordered, the heat lamp bulb spontaneously burst. The staff was shaken, but handled it well-and made sure everything was cleaned up before continuing to serve customers. Our server didn't miss a beat and kept checking in on tables, refilling drinks and working hard to juggle everyone's requests. Nice work, Slice of Veyo! read more

Sometimes it is fun to go to these little town food joints. However, Expect big prices and small portions (other than the pizza. (Decent portion size, average taste). The Zucchini fries and normal fries (sidewinder) are absolutely the worst value ever. How about 13 fries for $6.50 (.50 cents a fry and the size of my finger). The servers was awkward enough to ask us "please tell your kids not to make a mess, I don't want to clean things up"... no joke. It was something new, but we won't be back 100% read more

Great pizza, great food for a small town. You should check it out when getting a pie at Veyo pies that is across the street!

Food is pretty good, but the cost is way too high. If they'd get their prices down we'd go there again. We can't justify paying more than we would at riggatti's for a pizza that is only slightly better than dominos. The Mexican restaurant and the veyo cafe manage to sell food at an acceptable cost, this place just feels like its price gauging. read more

We stopped in after years and were very satisfied with the service and most delicious custom order thin crust pizza. We were so thrilled to get a crispy thin crust. Most of the time they are floppy. They make perfect thin crust. The prices we found the same as everywhere else. Restroom clean restaurant clean and cute. I would recommend this small town pizzeria. read more

I love road trips and trying new places to eat. I have been visiting the St. George area for several years now and recently found this place. The drive from St. George is scenic and relaxing. Once you arrive in this small town you are greeted by two must stop places. Slice of Veyo and in the opposite corner you have Veyo pies, seriously a must stop. I don't remember the name of the woman working that day but she was friendly and helpful. She made us feel comfortable and took good care of us. We ordered the Buffalo wings, garlic bread, and pizza. The wings where tasty with plenty of sauce. The bread was good specially if you dip it into the sauce that comes with it. Let me tell you about the pizza!!!!! The pizza was delicious and they don't hold back on the toppings. The crust was cooked perfectly with just a slice crunch to it (trust me it's a good thing). The cheese was so good and theres plenty of it. I have never been a fan of black olives and I ordered the pizza with the world that included olives. The pizza was so good and tasty that even the olives tasted good. I was completely blown away by this place. I will stop by for some pizza every time I'm in the area and if I'm not, I'll drive to get here. read more

Have a slice with your pie from across the street. Best pizza I have had in a long time. The family-owned style made experience for us. Attentive waiting, and friendly smiles. The pizza here is delicious but the service, while nice and polite, is SLOW. It took us an hour to get our pizza and there was only one other table in the restaurant - yikes. The pizza is great, as are the cheesey sticks. The wings aren't good so I'd avoid those. Worth trying but I recommend call ahead and pick up if you don't have a lonnnnnng time to kill. read more

Stopped by on a Sunday. Slice of Veyo opened at 11:30 so we had a very short wait. The restaurant is spotlessly clean and bright. There are 2 outdoor tables with umbrellas if you want to dine outdoors. Inside is spacious. We got the 10" pepperoni which was $8. Very good and just the right size for 2. It's a thin crust style pizza. Would have liked more pepperoni, but we're just big meat lovers. Super nice folks just getting started n the Pizza business. They've been open just 4 weeks. read more

I really, really wanted to rate this a 5-star experience. Veyo is such a great small town and has an out-of-this-world pie and pastry establishment right across the street so I was desperately hoping this would be a landmark for pizza. It is not, by a long shot. I've lived in Italy and had pizza up and down the country. I've lived in NYC (which is better than Italy) and had pizza. I've spent a lot of time in Chicago and had their pizza. I know pizza. And while I don't expect Veyo to be listed amongst the great pizza places of the world, I did expect it to have something unique, something original to motivate me to go out of my way and spend money. I was disappointed. The restaurant itself is clean and the service is good. They have a pretty good sized menu with a lot of beverage options and they try to have some popular pizzas ready to lower the waiting times. I applaud them in this area. But now to the pizza... The crust makes the pizza in my opinion. There's no point in anything else if the crust is bad. The Slice of Veyo crust tastes very much like the boxed pizza crust mix you can buy at the grocery store. It's very bland and unsavory with even a strange taste to it that I couldn't quite place almost as if it were cleaning residue. The cook of the crust was decent but for such a thin crust it was a little more chewy than I would have expected. The sauce is the next most important part as this is where the chemistry between the crust and the toppings can be made. Slice of Veyo boasts pride in making their own sauces but despite this, the sauces I had (regular tomato-based marinara, BBQ chicken, and the Alfredo) tasted like they came from a bottle - again, nothing unique or inspiring. The toppings were what you'd expect but they didn't much matter given the crust and sauce shortcomings. My kids devour pizza. For convenience and cost I often get them Little Caesars which they usually finish without a scrap. Those pizzas are 14" and 5-8 dollars. I bought my kids the 10" pizzas from Slice of Veyo for dinner at approximately 12.00 each and they barely ate them, preferring to pick off the cheese and leave most of the sauce and crust. This was telling because it speaks to the quality and price for what you're getting and could get elsewhere. I want this place to succeed and make hand-over-fist cash but it needs to improve its product starting with the crust and moving to the sauce. read more

Good pizza, fresh ingredients, real cheese and delicious crust. With another dine in customer and 3 take out orders ahead of us, we were warned there would be a wait, which we were ok with. The staff made us feel so unwelcome though that we didn't order appetizers or sides, just pizza and drinks- which were refilled when the pizza arrived. I would like to come back next time we're in town and try something else but the customer service makes me think we will go somewhere else. read more

I adore the food at Slice of Veyo. The family run business is wonderful. Brittany makes bakery offerings that are the best EVER. I cannot wait for her togo pro!!! I'll be honest. I am was not expecting much from this place but my kids insisted we try. I was pleasantly surprised! It was so good! First of all everything was fresh and homemade. The blood orange salad dressing was amazing. The pizza crust was delicious. Crispy and chewy. Literally some of the best "pizzeria" pizza we have had. They even have gluten free crust and desert. The curly fries were so good! My mom got a burger and loved it too. Really great service. Love that it's a family run business. We will be back for sure! read more

We spent Thanksgiving weekend up in Central and decided to get out a bit and take the kids out to grab a bite to eat. There were only two choices in Veyo that we came across so decided on Slice of Veyo so the kids could have pizza. We ended up ordering a medium pep pizza. It was okay, kinda reminded me of a frozen pizza. Not something we would get again. We also ordered a burger which was really good! That was probably the best part. Also got a side of french fries and boneless chicken wings - both tasted like something you would get out of the frozen section at the market - not good, not fresh. We will not be going back, next time staying in cooking at the cabin. read more

I had been craving pizza for a couple days as I traveled around Utah. Saw this little place and had to stop in. Jack greeted me as soon as I stepped inside, he was pleasant and attentive took my order and seemed like instantly was returning with my food. Brittany baked up a perfect Big D special ( a meat lovers feast). The crust was amazing with just the right crunch on the toasted bottom. If you find yourself anywhere near Veyo,UT you had better stop here... you'll be disappointed if you miss it. read more
