When I went here it was during the time before Covid and when it had its buffet. The buffet and food overall were fine. There was a good selection of pizza choose from along with a salad bar and desert options. The service overall was fine nothing to complain about there. And ambiance was overall fine as it's a decent place throw a birthday party due to an arcade and booths. The overall pizza was alright but needs more flavor. Well I am not one to give one star reviews especially to a place I have been going to for years ....since they opened this location. It's been going down for a while but this is the last pizza I'm ordering from them. Obviously there are far better local pizzas in town but I've liked the convenience and consistency in the PAST. The service at this location is really very poor. After ordering 2 pizzas online one with no olives and one with olives the manager started blowing up my phone and when I answered very rudely told me I had to pay for those olives (the ones that came with my pizza??) I said ok fair just put them on the side. She got very upset and said she can not do that and I have to pay for the olives. But those olives come on the specialty pizza so I did pay for them. I said you can't just put them on the side. Nope. Finally she agreed and said one time only. Now would I pay the $2 for a tiny cup of olives that I already paid for? Fine. But no one likes to be nickeled and dollared and have their phone blown up after making an online order for maybe 10 olives. Delivery. They used Door Dash and they dont follow instructions. Delivery took much longer than normal. $55 that doesn't include the $6.50 tip we added, for large basic pepperoni pizza and hot wings. Live close to the restaurant. Hot wings look nothing what they advertise and no hot honey on the wings. Be VERY careful ordering on the website and call to check if Door Dash is delivering or their own staff. It makes a difference!! 5 stars. This is the best Mountain Mike's in the whole Tri-Valley. It's not only the best M.M Pizza that I've had it's solidly some of the best pizza that I've eaten period. The employees are always polite and professional, plus they are always willing to help save some money through current promotions. The toppings are always full and obviously placed with an attention to detail, all the while the pizza is always prepared with a timely matter. The crust is obviously high quality as I'm able to contrast to other companies which have declined in this regard over the years whereas Mountain Mike's has maintained the same flavor. This location honestly feels like a front and not a real Mountain Mike's. The food quality was terrible. The pizza was a soggy mess and barely edible. They didn't even put the pizza in an actual Mountain Mike's box, which immediately felt off. We also measured the pizza and it was noticeably smaller than the advertised size. The entire location smelled like dirty mop water, which made the experience even worse. On top of that, the staff was not friendly and we felt pressured to leave a tip. My husband and I stopped by on June 27, at 11:30 and order oven toasted sandwiches. I order a ham and my husband a sausage, while we waited 30 minutes. They gave it to use without the chips. Which on the Menu it has chips included with sandwiches. I asked the young man he says that it's an old menu no chips. I asked well how are you going to compensate me He said let me call my manager. After he was done talking to his manager they gave us drinks. I told him you need to update your menu. I'm not going back to this place, it took forever to get the order and the sandwich had maybe three thin slices of ham since it was under the oven the ham shrink. Was craving pizza and was in Lucky shopping center off Holmes and Catalina. Never been to this location before. Was met at the counter with a very unfriendly young man with no greeting and very stand offish demeanor. Appeared perturbed when I wanted to add a beer to my order. Did not get a receipt and waited at counter to receive my beer. He comes back asking what I want (not the beer type) and I said I'm waiting for my beer and he very rudely said, "it's at the bar". My reply was I'm sorry but I've never been to this location. After a roll of the eyes by him, I made my way to the bar. Brought out my pizza and never said a word other than to ask if I wanted peppers or cheese. Not a "thank you." I would have asked to speak to manager but he was the only one there. The bathrooms were disgusting. Even after just being "cleaned " Then that dirty mop water was used to mop the floor by the ordering counter and the salad bar which stunk up the dining room area. Customer service is not a priority at this location of Mountain Mike's. They would rather publish deceptive coupons and not honor their own coupon then try to keep a long time customer. They told me that when they did not honor their own coupon, I should not have paid for the pizza and just left the pizza with them. They said it would be perfectly fine to refuse the pizza that I had ordered. I typically don't want businesses to lose money, but this business would prefer that. read more

I knocked it a star for charging one dollar for a small prepackaged cup of ranch dressing. I just spent over $30 for 1 large Specialty Pizza and then to pay $4.41 out the door for 4 small Ranch Dressing. The manager of the restaurant checked me out, so it wasn't in error. I ordered here 2x in the past week (kids are off from school. yeah.), and today went in for their buffet pizza lunch. Wow. This place has turned around! The owner has come back in to personally manage the place and get things back in line, and he's brought in much better staff from his other restaurants (he owns three other Mountain Mike's in the Tri-Valley). The new staff was really friendly, quick, and it was a nice change from the experience others have posted about. They asked us which pizzas we'd like to eat and made those to put out fresh on the buffet. The salad bar was also fresh with a lot of variety (chopped egg, kidney beans, cucumbers, broccoli, dressings, beets, etc). Love the layout of this restaurant with pictures of old and new Livermore hanging on the walls, booth seating, something like 10 televisions around the room, and a few video games in the back for the kids. They also have a small bar with a wall of TV's behind it. This will be my local pizza joint for sure! read more

Plenty of parking, and there's always enough tables and chairs to sit at. You can order ahead by phone or website. The pizza is quite tasty, especially the pineapple Lua. In general: I love Mountain Mike's Pizza, so when I heard they were going to open around the corner (2 blocks from my house) I was, excited. However, I have have had some similar problems as other reviewers in 2019 and prior. Pizzas weren't made correctly, not cooked through, or overcooked. I have had problems with staff, and online AND phone orders. In a pinch, I tried them in late January 2020. I talked to the cashier who asked about my previous experience. He said they've been having some trouble, and he's here to help his uncle. Apparently, his uncle owns the franchise (and a few others around). They knew they had a bad rap, and were looking to turn it all around. That experience in January was great. Fast Forward to today. Early March 2020. We go in for the buffet thinking "They've turned it around, right"?? THEY HAVE. We had excellent FRESH pizza for the buffet. I'm talking, they put stuff in when we showed up. They even asked if my daughter (2 years) had any preference on toppings. They made a half a pizza just for her in the buffet. Spencer (manager? shift lead?) Was wonderful to us, and did everything he could think of to make sure we had a great experience. AND WE DID. If you've had trouble in the past, I urge you to try them now. Worst Customer service ever! Not the first time my order has been wrong. 1st my fault for not noticing when I signed in to order from my phone that delivery wasn't available today. Waited an hour then called to find out no delivery as they are short handed. Asked when would they have called me since my pizzas have been sitting there for over an hour. There response was in 5 minutes. I drove up there got home pizza missing items I paid extra for, called again to let them know. My options to correct their mistake, drive up for a new pizza or get a credit on my future order. Really that's how you handle a problem. Will never go there again. I've ordered from here before but I had the worst experience today. I went to pick up the a pizza after 20min and it was no where to be found. They offered to make another one and they said it would be ready in 10min but no apology for the error. While I stood by counter and waited the girl with pink hair talked about "how nice she is" they allow her to close early some days. She should worry about making sure the right person gets their order. She left and walked by me and again no apology. We get home and it looks like the pizza is missing half the meat.
