The family that owns this shop (and another location in San Ramon) came from New York City. They know New York pizza. Let me tell you about that pizza. I've tried some of their specialty pizzas, and they're all delicious. The New York Margherita is amazing. Today, I got a pepperoni slice. It reminded me of a slice I got in New York years ago. The crust is thin, tender, not floppy, and the perfect crispiness on the bottom and on the edge. The seasoning in the sauce is spot on. The cheese they use is a special brand with no preservatives. And the pepperoni is flavorful, unlike what you get at the pizza chains. The best part is the hot pepperoni oil that comes out in the cooking. When you pick up a New York slice, you know that hot pepperoni oil drips off the crust and dribbles down your hand? That oil gives the pizza such a great flavor! This is a solid pizza option in Livermore. My friend and I recently got takeout here and I found the pizza to be reasonably priced and quite delicious! The pizza quality is definitely better than Round Table or Mountain Mike's. The crust was the highlight for me - it was flavorful and satisfyingly chewy. This pizza is decent (3.5-4 stars), the equivalent of a solid imitation meat burger when you're used to eating meat. It's not real New York Pizza, but it gets pretty close with decent dough and ingredients (especially here in CA) and so it scratches an itch. However, DO NOT order the "calzone" if you're expecting a true calzone. So disappointing. For $25 we got a flat, greasy, folded over slab of dough that soaked through the box and was woefully underfilled. The texture of the calzone dough is still soft in domino's kind of way, without the crusty puff they're able to achieve in the pies. More like an Italian quesadilla. The sauce is also terrible. Thick overly spiced marinara, like Boboli. On the pizza it is passable with the other ingredients, but I can't imagine dipping anything in it. Also, just FYI, the large pie is cut into 12 slices...should always be 8. Let the customer decide if they want half slices but don't rob us of the full-slice eating experience. We randomly stopped here after we ate dinner at a fancy restaurant and my daughter didn't like her food. We were so happy they sold pizza by the slice. We got her a pepperoni. The guy that was at the register was probably the coolest guy we've ever met! He was so nice, talked to us for 7 minutes while we waited for the pizza. AAND... this is the best pepperoni pizza we've ever had. The crust was crispy yet had a good bite to it and the cheese and pepperoni were a perfect blend. I told the guy we were meant to go in there. I have had this pizza now twice and I gotta say, if you like New York style pizza then this place is the bomb! This is my new fav for pizza. The people are very friendly and the pizza is amazing. What more could you ask for? My only gripe is that they are EXPENSIVE! They were expensive before the inflation wave hit everyone but, now...way more expensive. So much so, that it will prohibit me from eating here with any frequency. I don't blame them though because a little mom and pop pizza joint profit margins are very slim. I think 35 minutes from the time we ordered to when it was at the door. I worked at a pizza restaurant for many years. The timing was spot on. 2. Pizza came Hot! Boxes were sealed with a sticker. Pies were perfectly in their place and cut all the way through. Beautiful. 3. Delicious flavor on both! Perfect cheese to sauce ratio. Perfect amount of toppings. The garlic sauce was incredible. Perfect crisp on the crust. Not too thick and not cracker thin. Crispy all along the bottom. It was thin and still held up just enough when you pulled the slice. Truly impressive. Delicious pizza but super super thin crust which we weren't huge fans of. Extra large half pesto chicken half combination ($34) - your standard combo with meat and veggies and the pesto side had artichokes and sun-dried tomatoes. Both sides tasted great, the ingredients were super fresh. Because the crust was so thin though you don't get a lot of toppings which I found less satisfying. We also ate the whole pizza in one sitting between two people which shocked us because normally a medium is all we can do. Again probably down to how thin it was. read more

I tried the margarita New York style pizza, It was ok but I've had better. The crust was not as crispy as I wanted. It could be because I took it to go and it got soggy in the box. There was also something off about the sauce and I think it could have benefited from a little more cheese. It was the first time here even though I live only a few minutes away. They are a small shop with only a few tables. I can't remember if there is any tables inside but I do remember there being a couple tables outside. I will be back to try other pizzas and will try to eat there to see if it makes it better. That's not the restaurants issue, nor is it really a huge deal, but I think if you want the best experience try going in person or pick up the pizza yourself.
