So this is just for the absurd price gouging. Went yesterday, my niece came for her bday dinner. I had never ordered the pizza. But everything else I've gotten has been amazing. So we ordered a large pizza with split toppings. Pizza was mediocre, honestly round table is better. My issue was with the cost. The pizza was 28.99 then $3 for every additional topping. So it doesn't say CHEESE PIZZA 28.99 PLUS $3 PER TOPPING. I paid $55.10 for a BASIC LARGE PIZZA!!! R U KIDDING ME. THEN THE TIP COMES UP I DID THE FIRST 10.25% TIP $6.60! I was soo pissed! Unfortunately I will never be back. Sucks cz i really liked their food! But there's no way I'll ever be financially fisted for a pizza!

It's 9pm in downtown and the place is empty There's sign on the wall that reads welcome to New York Pizza of Pleasanton Taste the tradition Adorned with posters from broadway shows and various NY sports teams it's unapologetic in its ode to every hole in the wall pizzeria in the Big Apple I have to admit I like this place It's dimly lit but some how the off white paint makes it feel bright and oddly welcoming Even the buzzing from the Florescent lamps overhead and the two owners speaking Farsi add to it's charm This place is a kind of middle finger to the gentrification going up and down Main St. with its hipster gastropubs and fine dining establishments a place like is as about as rare as an ice cream parlor or an A&W nowadays A few people have started straggling in just as finish my last bite of a $8 NY giant slice No doubt they must've needed something greasy after the wine and charcuterie boards didn't hit the spot The first of many I'm sure and my queue to leave If the Thai place down the street can be authentic then this place is too.

This is a staple for Pleasanton residence, a long standing pizza establishment that has an array of pizza toppings. The restaurant is located on the corner of Main Street and Spring Street in downtown Pleasanton. There's spacious seating, pizza by the slice, various sized pizzas, canned and bottled drinks, and ice cream. I ordered a two topping (artichokes, and Kalamata olives) pizza slice for $8.99. The crust crispy, but the addition of the Kalamata olives made the pizza a bit too salty, otherwise the pizza was tasty. I hadn't been to NY pizza in a while and it was a nice treat. The owner is friendly and business still going strong.

This is the best in town. By far. Reasonably priced. They load it with lots of meat n vegetables. The crust is crunchy, but not tough. Everything tastes fresh. You can order slices to go or a whole pizza. The service is good. Very friendly. The ambience is very chill. You can eat outside or indoors. I will definitely be back love this place.

Perfect spot to grab a slice of pizza when walking around downtown Pleasanton! I love how they sliced the pizza in half so it was easier to share and eat. I love me a good crunchy under carriage.

Just celebrated my son's first birthday at New York Pizza and we had a blast! These people are the most accommodating and friendly guys- they let us decorate the space, made sure we had everything we needed, and helped us to have a great party. They were attentive but not hovering and even worked to have our food ready at the exact time we asked. We ordered Caesar salad appetizers and five pizzas- a cheese, pepperoni, meat lovers, veggie, and even a gluten free chicken and bacon. They were all delicious! There were very few leftovers but what we did have we all fought over to take home. We had the best experience with New York Pizza and highly recommend them for a slice as you're walking down Main Street or a birthday party like we had.

I went on a Tuesday so it wasn't crowded. Bonus points that the bathroom is decent. Minus points for the unmanaged fly situation. Tough to eat and keep them off your food at the same time. Some tables contained leftover candy and mess from previous patrons despite not being busy. I got the salmon sandwich special. Good sized sandwich and tasty without being fishy. They forgot the garlic on my garlic fries and added it but it tasted more like pickled mild garlic. I wasn't expecting that. They were okay fries. Notes from friends I was with: Both hamburgers and cheeseburgers come with cheese so beware lactose intolerant people. The pizza sizes jump in prize but not much in size. I would come back and get a salmon sandwich to go sans fries.

My friend and I went to check out downtown Pleasanton one evening. We decided to check out this place for dinner. The place is located on spring and main. They have seating inside and out. We walked in to check out their menu. We were greeted my Jamal with his exceptionally great customer service. Besides pizza, they have salads, sandwiches, burgers, and dessert. We ordered a cheeseburger, pesto chicken sub, and a combo slice to go. The burger was very tasty. Ingredients were fresh. Enjoyed every bite. The pesto chicken was really good too. Served toasted and flavorful. The pizza was full of toppings and was delicious. We were too full to get dessert, but we do plan to come back. Oh and we now know they close late hours on weekends!

The food is good, the beer selection as awesome and the atmosphere is super casual and fun. It can get a little noisy at times, but there's plenty of outdoor seating for more quiet. What I like best about it is that it really feels like you're going to a place that treats its employees and its customers like family. I'm not a big reviewer, but I felt compelled to share my last experience with Porky's. After ordering, I stopped by the ladies room before going to get a beer. One of the stalls was out of toilet paper and all I could think about was that Seinfeld episode. Wanting to help someone avoid an embarrassing situation, I went to the counter to let them know. The person I tried to tell was kind of rude and waved me off. It was really weird because every other interaction I've ever had with employees there is best described as hospitality instead of just service. I was going to shrug it off. Everyone has off nights, but it was just so out of character for this place I felt I had to say something. I submitted an online comment via their website and figured that was that. Two days later, I got a phone call from Patsy. She was appreciative that I brought it up, asked for more details and promised a follow up. A few days after that, I got a very nice handwritten card from her letting me know they had worked with the employee, who was sorry and was just having an off day. My own mother doesn't send me handwritten cards anymore. I was never going to write the place off after a single incident, but this kind of care for people means I will always keep this place in rotation when the "what do you want for dinner?" Question comes up.

The dough and crust were almost completely flavorless, and overall the pizza itself was incredibly bland. The crust was very thick, and even the pepperoni slices were cut unusually thick, which made the overall texture feel heavy. Like many other reviewers have mentioned, the toppings tasted like they were barely cooked and simply placed on top as an afterthought. They fall right off when you pick up the slice. To be completely honest, it reminded me of a frozen pizza you could buy at the grocery store. The difference is that this one cost nearly $40 after tax for a medium pizza. What made the experience even more disappointing was the wait. It took about 30 to 35 minutes for a single pizza. If the food had been outstanding, the wait would have been understandable because fresh pizza takes time. Unfortunately, the end result tasted more like cardboard with toppings on it. Our server was very nice and friendly, but after taking our order, we hardly saw them again for the rest of the meal. I genuinely don't understand the hype. The pizza is expensive and, in my opinion, does not come close to justifying the price. It feels like a place that benefits more from its long history and reputation than from the quality of the food itself. I'll give this place its kudos though because the ranch tasted amazing and like no other ranch I've had.
