Our new go-to restaurant for late night pizza and snacks, especially after a movie - we stopped by after watching Avatar 3 recently. We parked across the street and made ourselves comfortable at a booth, then ordered garlic knots (my favorite), a large specialty meat pizza, and buffalo wings (with ranch, of course!). Just celebrated my son's first birthday at New York Pizza and we had a blast! These people are the most accommodating and friendly guys- they let us decorate the space, made sure we had everything we needed, and helped us to have a great party. They were attentive but not hovering and even worked to have our food ready at the exact time we asked. We ordered Caesar salad appetizers and five pizzas- a cheese, pepperoni, meat lovers, veggie, and even a gluten free chicken and bacon. They were all delicious! There were very few leftovers but what we did have we all fought over to take home. My friend and I went to check out downtown Pleasanton one evening. We decided to check out this place for dinner. The place is located on spring and main. They have seating inside and out. We walked in to check out their menu. We were greeted my Jamal with his exceptionally great customer service. Besides pizza, they have salads, sandwiches, burgers, and dessert. We ordered a cheeseburger, pesto chicken sub, and a combo slice to go. The burger was very tasty. Ingredients were fresh. Enjoyed every bite. The pesto chicken was really good too. Served toasted and flavorful. The pizza was full of toppings and was delicious. We were too full to get dessert, but we do plan to come back. I came here with a party of 5 at 11pm since it was the only place we could find that was still open to order food and we could still eat inside. Parking was fairly easy, and we were able to park just down the street and walk there. We were the only ones there, and we were greeted by the cashier who was very friendly and helped us answer questions about the different pizzas and sizes. In the end, we got the king kong sized combo pizza (26"). The pizza was delivered to our table after waiting for around 20 minutes, which I thought was really reasonable for such a large pizza, in the middle of the night. While the server was carrying our pizza over, I was absolutely shocked by how large it was. While I knew in my mind that the pizza was going to be large, I didn't realize that the pizza would be so large it would NOT FIT ON OUR TABLE. That's right, the edges of the pizza literally extended past the edges of the table. The absolute, gargantuan size of the pizza gave me a nice chuckle, and made me feel like I got a good deal on the pizza. This proved to be true, as the pizza was able to feed 5 ravenous young men for $12 each, not bad for bay area prices The actual pizza was solid, but unfortunately nothing to really write home about. The toppings were good, but not extraordinary. Same with the cheese, pretty good but not a home run, more like a solid double. Most likely due to the size of the pizza, the crust was a bit too much on the soft side, which made the pizza very difficult to pick up as it would droop and toppings would indiscriminately drop off the edge of the pizza like they were trying to escape being eaten. Overall, I think that this pizzeria is pretty solid comparing them to other super-late-night options, but unless you want to show up just to see huge pizzas, I would probably prefer other places during the daytime. read more

We were a little bit hesitant to eat here for two reason - place was almost empty on such a busy day in downtown plus what a small place that makes everything, from pizzas to hamburgers and some chicken meals can really be good.
