It was my first time going to the Pelandale location. I ordered a half and half. One side with pepperoni and some other stuff and on the other side, completely different toppings with sausage as the meat instead of pepperoni. The pepperoni I got was not the curly crispy pepperoni that mountain mikes is famous for. It's like they used a totally different pepperoni, which I was pretty disappointed about. Plus they put pepperoni instead of sausage on the half that was supposed to be half sausage, which sucked because my girlfriend doesn't like pepperoni, which was the whole reason we got a half and half. We live in Salida and for some reason I get HORRIBLE cell service at my house. I called this location for a pizza delivery and not only did I have horrible service, but my toddler was crying at my feet very loudly...I asked the woman on the phone (don't know her name) "what?" Like 100 times. I felt horrible...but this woman stuck with me. I know how to generally order a pizza for delivery over the phone. So in the end-I gave my address, phone number, and my order, and my card info and just told the girl "I hope you're getting all of this and I'm so sorry I can't hear anything you're saying". I've been told people can hear me fine, I just can't hear them. I hung up the phone and told my hubs "Well, I guess we will see if we get pizza tonight" lol sure enough-someone showed up at our door and the wait was not long at all. We tipped him and then opened the pizza box and somehow-they got our order correct. They gave us plenty of cheese and pepper and as usual-the pizza was so good. This location deserves to be recognized. We are somewhat new to the area and previously went to Round Table. The service there was so bad we decided to try Mountain Mikes and we are so pleased. The pizza is great, but more importantly the service is EXCELLENT. Today it was about 113 degrees outside, they were slammed and the woman that helped me was so kind even though she was overwhelmed with orders. The gentleman cooking the pizzas was also friendly and I wanted to take the time to say thank you. This location had a great start, then struggled as the year progressed. They are definitely a relief from the Standiford location. Orders have been accurate and timely the last few months. Recently "Anana" took our order over the phone and did an excellent job. What separated her from the other employees was the efficient manner in which she took our order. Some might view this as petty, but a clear and concise conversation while reverse commuting after a ten hour shift is a huge relief when picking up a pizza to bring home. The icing on the cake was the kitchens performance on the pizza... Exactly as ordered, timely and piping hot. Perfect. Quick questions, phone number and order verification, and an ETA in under 60 seconds and no mistakes. Anana.. The taste of the food is the only reason I give a confident single star. We came in soon after opening for the Lunch Buffet from 11-1:300pm. The salad bar looked like it had not been refreshed since dinner time last night. We brought this up to the manager and the salad bar was hastily put together with the same left over produce. Yuck! The pizza for the buffet was already stiff, greasy and cold by 11:20. The restrooms smelled so strongly of urine, it's obviously not cleaned often. The kitchen was a huge mess, I took a picture of the disastrous pizza making station. Just unclean all around. I was so excited as a salida resident to be getting a new mountain mike's off Pelandale ave. I've eaten in the restaurant and had pizza delivered. The restaurant had very filthy floors and salad bar was a mess, but I figured they're new and maybe the staff is new as well. The last 2 times I had pizza delivered I ordered both pizzas well done. I like the crust, meat and veggies done. Both times they were not well done and the dough wasn't even cooked. It's like fresh dough. not only that I ordered my pizzas this evening at 6:20 they didn't arrive till 8pm. An hour and 40 minutes it took for delivery when I was told it was an hour to hour and 15 mins. It really sucks this place doesn't have their stuff together like all the other stores. Just ate here. This place is incredibly dirty. Pizza is pretty tasteless. We had the Veggiemore pizza and raw, cold tomatoes were placed on it before it was served. I had to bus my own table as there was not a clean table in the place. Even after pointing out how dirty the place was workers continued to eat and drink and fold pizza boxes. I must say, we have a great time when we dine in at this location. Friendly staff are always helpful and greet us at the door when we walk in. We especially love coming here because the dining tables and area is always clean and the food is always freshly prepared. Pizza is never burnt and the cheese is delicious with the crunchy pepperoni toppings that we love. Salad bar is fresh and we love it! Cucumbers are freshly sliced and the lettuce tasted fresh. Maybe add Caesar dressing for the salad. That would be nice to enjoy. The Pepsi self serve is great with the products that we love as well! Don't change to coke , because Pepsi products are far better then coke, and always makes the pizza that much tastier. Over all, we had nothing but positive experiences here. Keep it up. read more

My wife and my son and I went to eat at this location got a medium pizza and the salad bar went to go serve my self saw the salad bar and it looked like that the salad wasn't fresh looked very brown and didn't seem like nothing was really cleaned. I have had my son's birthday party at the Mountain Mike's on McHenry for the last 4 years. They were all full when I called to reserve the back room so I called the Pelendale location. Every single person I spoke to (both managers) were so friendly and nice to deal with, which was totally different from the McHenry location. WORST CUSTOMER Service EVER!!! The manager refused to speak to me or provide her name when I called to complain about having to wait over 2.5 hours for a pizza. We ordered online and the wait time given was 45mins, so after 1.5hours we called to check on the status....staff told us the pizza would arrive in 15mins...so after waiting another 45mins we called again to complain but staff told us the manager was on a break and she would call us back....after another 25 mins still NO pizza or call back!!! So we called again and the manager put us on hold for 5mins....a staff member then told us the manager wouldn't be able to talk to us! So I canceled the order and asked for the manager name... staff put me on hold again and after being on hold for another 5mins refused to give me the name of the manager!! read more

I Ordered 2 pizzas at 7:15pm. Manager said 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours for delivery. Ok. Understandable.... It's Sunday - They are busy. I placed the order. 2 1/2 hours later & no pizzas. I called Mountain Mike's. He says "I'm just now cutting your pizzas and they will be delivered." I asked if he could have called to say they were running behind and he says "I tried to call you ". Ummmmm - My phone is working fine because I called him from it twice & it never rang at my house all evening. 10:05ish pm the delivery guy arrives at our door. The manager was making the pizza and first served me pepperoni and olive and I said it was wrong and wanting olive and pineapple. She then made another one with pepperoni on pineapple. I switched to this Mountain Mikes due to issues I had with the one on Prescott. I was hesitant to try it out but our daughter will not eat any other pizza!!! Plus we also have a member of our family who is a vegetarian and has allergies to meat proteins. So in trying it out, we were shocked that not only was it cleaned but the atmosphere was nice. Most important is that employees working with food are WEARING GLOVES!! We have NEVER had an issue with our pepperoni pizzas and our vegetarian pizzas are never crossed contaminated with proteins!!! We went in for their buffet lunch and we were happy. Employees were friendly, salad bar was well stocked and they kept putting fresh pizza out. They also told us that if we wanted a particular kind of pizza we could order it. The employees seemed to keep the place clean and clear the tables in a timely manner. That said, there was this one poor lady who waited forever for her small to-go pizza. As I watched the employee take it out of the oven and slice it, it was obvious he was a rookie as he moved very slowly. I'm probably not going to order something off the menu until they get their act together. Really, pizza shouldn't take that long. Wow I'm not sure why the reviews are so low. I just seriously had the BEST customer service and pizza ordering experience ever. I called to see what specials they had going on and a VERY upbeat and happy person named Anthony answered all of my questions. I could imagine being bombarded daily about what the specials are and how much things cost would be quite annoying. However, Anthony not only didn't make me feel like a nuisance, but he actually made me feel like a valued customer. I've worked as a restaurant manager, and I know about quality customer service. If I was still in the business I would definitely have him work for me. Mountain mikes is very lucky to have a great employee like Anthony. I'm not sure if he is manager or not, but he definitely should be. Thank you Anthony for your OUTSTANDING customer service.
