I absolutely love this location. It's located in a corner with a globe like fountain in front of it. Kids and adults will get fascinated by it. Then when you enter there is an arcade of games. It has several mounted televisions so it will be a good place to watch games and enjoy some hot pizza. I came here with my kids and got two small cheese pizzas. I wanted to try some toppings but all they wanted was cheese. Cheese it was then! Truly I had never ever eaten a slice of cheese pizza right out of the oven. The personal size had a crust which wasn't too thick but was not extra thin either. I loved this slice. Just delectable and utterly unforgettable- especially that first bite. Maybe I am romanticizing this but that day I just ate. No distractions. I did take one picture but that's it. Truly delicious pizza. The person at the counter especially if you go early morning around 11 on the weekend is very helpful and so incredibly polite. After eating, we enjoyed the fountain outside. We sat in a booth but if you want a nice view of the street outside, sitting in one of those high chairs ( not the ones for the kids ha ha) would be a great experience. We have been here a few times, we have always ordered cheese pizza and it has always been good. I do want to try some other toppings though- maybe in a few years when my kids start liking something other than just plain cheese pizza! This is our favorite Mountain Mikes. They have the best coupons (check the cart using online website). The pepperoni is the best! The crispy edges and flavor is perfect . They definitely are not stingy with any ingredients and the crust is always on point. If you are a fan of combo pizzas you MUST order the Everest!! (We took it home and drizzled BBQ sauce on it, but ranch is great too.) Service is amazing, everyone is very nice and efficient! Even though it's right by the University, it's family friendly . We appreciate how the cashier's suggestions and patience as we decided which three to pick. However we ended up waiting around for 30 min since they didn't mention that our pizza would be sitting on the counter instead of brought to our table the way everyone else's was. The experience I had at this location was simply deplorable and no way to do business. I had ordered takeout and was treated like a nuisance and strung along for 45 minutes and ended up with no pizza. Here's an accounting of the exact incorrect way to do business: - Staff seemed annoyed and told me my pizza would only take 5 more minutes. This was a blatant lie. - Letting me wait there for the next 20 minutes, providing no updates, and informing other customers that the kitchen was closed leading to confusion. - When I finally asked for an update, they then informed me they had no idea when my food would be ready so either the employees cannot tell time or lied to placate me and essentially waste my time. - The employees were also telling other people with online orders that it would be just 5 or 6 minutes which makes zero sense and led to other folks waiting. - Employees being confrontational and impatient when I had the audacity to ask for an update and ultimately a refund. - Spending the next 10 minutes figuring out how to give a customer back a refund. All in all, I wasted a solid 40 - 45 minutes being strung along for food that would never come and after having ordered 25 minutes prior on their website. Finally, I reached out to corporate and all they gave me was some canned response about being sorry and they would forward my feedback to the manager of the location and I would receive a response in 5 business days. It's been 2 weeks. Pretty wild stuff! Do NOT order pizza here on busy or important game nights as there is a 50/50 chance you won't get it. Cross-posting from my Google review. I made a mistake on the order ordering half/half pikes peak and both and he called immediately to double check. Then later when we went to pick up the pizza, he offered to make us another one because we were late to pick it up (our fault). Unbeatable service. I have always loved Mountain Mike's pizza. However this location needs some serious work. I ordered a pizza off the phone and went to pick it up. I wanted to pay with my app so I could earn points and the cashier rudely told me we don't do that here. I found that confusing since they have posters all over their store advertising the app. I asked to speak to the manger and she refused to let talk to him/her. To my understanding the app works at all locations so why doesn't this location use it? Also when I asked for plates for my large pizza, she only gave me 3. I asked for one more and she rolled her eyes at me. A large pizza should be given at least 4 plates? I'm so upset with this location. I order dr pepper and I didn't relieve it, I called the driver of doorsash and they told me to contact the store, so I did and they say they are too busy to send someone to bring my Dr pepper, I order mozzarella sticks, it was cold and not fresh, ca.e with marinara sauce and the sauce was very cold. Worst pizza ever! I like this place, in part because they have good online coupon deals and the quality is usually good. That was not the case tonight. We ordered a large pepeperoni, mushroom and olive pizza to go. It was very dry; it had so little cheee and sauce that you could hardly swallow it. We also ordered a sandwich that comes with chips, but it seems like you need to ask for the chips if you really want them. This is a good, family - oriented local pizza parlor near local college campus. The place has a real variety of selection for pizza pies, and at least order a medium pizza for yourself -- it's worth every dime and what you don't eat in you can take home in a box. Also a great local restaurant to visit for an early dinner on weekdays. read more

Worst pizza ever. We ordered a large vegetarian with pesto sauce. The crust was awful and tasted like frozen pizza from the grocery store. The vegetables were diced and only half cooked. The black olives tasted very bitter and seemed to be just in bine. The pesto sauce was tasteless, with no basil flavor at all. I think there was cheese somewhere on the pizza, but it seemed non-existent. The restaurant was empty when we got there (3pm on Tuesday), which is understandable. When I am in the Bay Area, and we can't have Toto's, Giorgio's or Pasquales, our default pizza place is Mountain Mike's. Yes, not the same but it not terrible either. I think it is because it's nostalgic for me. The pizzas look like Roundtable pizza but without the Roundtable famous red sauce. Good amount of toppings. Fresh and the crust is not too thin and not too thick (like Roundtable). We went on Xmas eve and the order taker was super nice and patient. He sold us a 2liter bottle of soda for the price of a 20oz drink since the soda machine was not working. He also discounted our order. For those with gluten allergy, Mountain Mike's offers gluten free pizza crust That's a huge plus for us bc the husband has a gluten allergy. We ordered the McKinley and Frank's Red Hot buffalo wings. The buffalo sauce was spicy and hot! A small will feed 2 hungry people or 3 who just wants a couple of slices to eat. Restaurant is clean and great place to have a group gathering. We had a very bad experience with this location. We do not eat meat and ordered their veggie pizza. Had a few bites and there's chicken on my plate. This happened with 2 of us. The pieces were hidden and difficult for us to spot immediately. I called them asking for a refund as I don't plan to go to this place again. But my only option was a store credit. Mountain Mike's be killing it with pizza you won't be able to stop eating. I love it when pepperoni slices on a pizza are baked just right and the sides start to roll up and get just a thin edge of crispy goodness bursting with flavor. I like that Mountain Mike's adds toppings all the way to the edge. it still has one but the crust doesn't over-tower the rest of the pizza. Another good one is the plain 'ole cheese pizza. I need a slice right now. Of course they have specialty pizzas with cleaver names like Mt Veggiemore or Snowy Alps, but you can also build your own. Their toppings are fresh and chopped/diced up to just the right sizes. They also do wings, sandwiches and salads to round out your choices. Payed the extra $0.50 for a side of ranch and didn't get that either. We had to microwave the pizza after it arrived 20 minutes later than quoted. When I called to check the status of my order 10 minutes after the estimated delivery time, no one answered. So annoyed. First and last experience with this place. 2 stars for loaded toppings but bad experience.
