I had a very disappointing experience when I picked up my pizza. One of the older employees appeared to have mucus visible in his nose, which I found unhygienic. While cutting my pizza, he was chewing food, and I saw a crumb fall from his mouth onto my pizza. It made me uncomfortable, and I didn't feel the food was handled safely. I hope management addresses food handling and hygiene standards to prevent this from happening again. read more

I had part of my kid's birthday party here and it was such a nice place! They have a free party room for you to use that is free as long as you call ahead of time to reserve. I actually called a few times asking various questions, and each time they were very nice and patient with me. On the day of the event, I went early to decorate and I loved out there's a door that you can close if you want more privacy. My guests also had the comment that it's one of the nicest Mountain Mike's they've been to. I haven't been to any others so I have no comparison but definitely very new, clean, and open area to run around in. The pizza was also tasty and mostly served on time. I ordered ahead on the app which was very convenient, and they even let me do som last minute changes the morning of. Only small complaint is that one of my guests had a gluten free, dairy free pizza but somehow that one came out more than 45+ min later than other food and that guest was starving and unable to eat other pizza. Overall would recommend this place if you want to have a larger gathering with some privacy. read more

This place has gone downhill since we first started going here. What drew me in was the amazing pepperoni cups and perfect crust way back when... but now, it's really a hit or miss. You have either overcooked crust and pepperoni or you have a perfectly cooked crust with undercooked pepperoni cups. This time. Happy National Pizza Day! It's okay that you didn't get me anything. All I got for you is this lousy review, and let's face it, it's hard to keep track of all the National Something Days nowadays. I'm fortunate enough to have my favorite regular pizza spot (which is not Mountain Mike's) emailing me mercilessly, keeping me abreast of all the reasons I should be buying a pizza, so when I saw today was National Pizza Day I thought to myself, "self, let's have have some 'za on this pizza-centric holiday." Except I was a little tired of my usual spot, and I arrived to the office a little later than usual and everybody had already hatched their lunch schemes for the day so I would be dining solo, so I decided to try Mountain Mike's for the first time. Yeah, I've known about the place for years, but today I finally gave it a shot. I hopped online and discovered they offer their own delivery. After poking around their site I decided to order a 6" Mini Pizza for $9.99 plus tax, delivery (only $4) and tip. I chose a half and half and went to check out, where I learned a $20 minimum was needed for delivery. Okay, so I went back and ordered an 8pc order of mozzarella sticks. Now my total was over $20. Still no-go. My merchandise total had to be over $20, so I added a 20oz Dr. Pepper and that put me over the top. Now my meal with tax, tip and delivery was over $30. That's fine, I could make two meals of it probably. It was nice not to have to use a delivery app for a change. I bet this would have cost a lot more if I used one of those. My confirmation email said the food would arrive in 45 minutes, but came much earlier and was hot and fresh. I unpacked it and dug in. 8pc Mozzarella Sticks - I'm a ranch dipper, not marinara. If you are it's okay, we can still be friends. The cheese sort of leaked through the breading and didn't have a very good texture or taste. In fact, the breading was so rough it scraped the back of my gums and roof of my mouth a bit. I would not get these again. 2/5 6" Mini Pizza, Half and Half - the first thing that jumped out at me was how many toppings were on the pizza. There was literally no spot on the pizza where a topping wasn't present. I thought there were actually too many toppings. They totally dominated every bite. I could not taste the cheese, sauce or crust as a result. While I appreciated how they did not skimp, there was just no balance to the pizza. This was not my favorite. 3/5 My first impression was that Mountain Mike's is A-OK. It didn't blow my mind, and with so many great pizza joints out there in this pricing tier, I'm not sure I would decide to try it again. Everybody's taste is different. It's still good enough to have if your friends or family insist. I ate half the cheese sticks and half the mini pizza and have leftovers for tomorrow which makes me wonder, is tomorrow National Leftover Pizza Day? Nope, I consulted a calendar and tomorrow features three holidays on the same day: National Home Warranty Day, National Umbrella Day and National Cream Cheese Brownie Day. Brand new pizza place close to where I live. The mailman brought over coupons for this location, and since I am now really into pizza (haha, never was a big fan before, weird right? But now I love pizza sooooo much and want to eat it all the time!) So I placed an order for a large combo pizza (the Everest) and some wings (the spicy honey garlic) with ranch and blue cheese. The pizza was solid Mountain Mike's, tasted good, crust was cooked just right, goodly amount of toppings and tasted good quality. The 6 wings only came with one sauce, which is fine, but I wish the guy had informed me of the extra charge on a second sauce. I have been here a couple of times already. I love the location. It is very clean everything is very modern and up-to-date. I haven't had mountain Mike's in so long, so when I tried out mountain Mike's again, I was very surprised. The pizza is so delicious and it is so nice inside. The customer service is excellent. I felt so welcomed when I walk in. The pizza at Mountain Mike's is absolutely the best. I would definitely come back to this specific location. Every time, I come to the Santa Clara location, it always exceeds my expectations. The shopping center is a very new area in Santa Clara. We loved this place the 2 other times we ordered. Today it was terrible. We ordered three 10" pizza's online for pick up. One pizza was the wrong veggie style and had almost no sauce on it. The second was the right pizza but instead of extra sauce, it had no sauce. The 3rd was the correct pizza but also had little signs of sauce. Wings were ordered "well done". They weren't. Mountain Mike's is finally open!! They are currently in soft opening but you can't even tell bc service and food are both excellent. Btw, I think their hours are 11am-10pm. I've gone two days in a row bc carbs are life...and this has to be the best Mountain Mike's location I've tried. Mountain Mikes in general are much more generous with toppings than other pizza chains. The crust is nice and crispy (not soggy - a huge pet peeve), cheese comes out bubbly, toppings are plentiful, and the integrity of the pizza was maintained even though I opted for carry out rather than dine in. We tried the McKinley pizza, a build your own pizza, chicken wings, and breadsticks--all were good. Love the mini pizzas!!! I'm a picky eater (and honestly can't handle too much pizza), so I'm able to customize a personal sized pizza just the way I like. The mini was the perfect size for my dinner. The restaurant is spacious, huge windows and so airy, and so CLEAN! They have a lunch buffet that looks amazing, but I'll prolly never try it bc I like to carb load in the privacy of my home. They'll start serving beer (on tap) and wine soon. There's also plenty of parking in the Whole Foods plaza or the garage across the street. Employees and owner are all super, super nice and patient. Everyone was super friendly to my dogs and my baby. The price point is fair for the amount and quality of food you're getting. I decided to give this place another chance in light of a few circumstances- There was an occasion where I looked to bring pizza to. Here, I got a mountain size (20") Mt. Veggiemore. Now look, the Mountain Size pizza is stated to feed 6-8 people and it costs $44.99 here (a bit more expensive than some other locations)... The pizza itself has loads of mushrooms, black olives, bell peppers, artichoke hearts and sliced fresh tomatoes on classic red sauce. It certainly is a lot and on the basis of just this, I think Mountain Mike's is 4 stars. The weekday lunchtime buffet as suggested. In this case, it was clearly worth it. The two downsides I see to the buffet are that: 1) Its selection is too biased towards pizzas that feature pork toppings, as opposed to vegetarian or chicken + veggie toppings. 2) There aren't sauce cups offered for salad bar dressings, which is unfortunate given that this makes it a bit inconvenient to use ranch as a dipping for the cheesy breadsticks (or pizza)! Still, the buffet price was lower than that of the individual meal I got during my last visit here. I felt I got my money's worth in the buffet visit. So to summarize, I'd recommend Mountain Mike's for the two scenarios depicted above. read more

This pizza joint is pretty good. They crest is really thin and crunchy. The pepperoni is a tiny bit spicy. But overall the food is good. The cheese bread was pretty decent as well. I added jalapeños on it. The only reason there not reaching a higher star. The pricing was pretty high. I don't know how I feel about that for a pizza Joint. I paid 45 dollars for one medium pizza and one cheese bread. They could've done better on the pricing my personal opinion. read more
