I haven't been to a Pizza My Heart location for awhile, but I'm comparing this to the one near SCU. I remember PMH being a very affordable lunch location, where you could get a small salad and a slice of pizza for under $10. Now they sell giant slices of pizza, no deal to add the salad. Oh yeah you get a free fountain drink if you buy a salad and a slice, only the machine was out of half of the choices! Meh. The already prepared salads are really good and fresh. The pizza was fine, though nothing super exciting, since they are pre-made and they just warm them up. The staff was pleasant enough, nothing really outstanding. Here's why: I called the pizzeria and place my order with Jesus for a VEGAN BIG SUR, requesting to substitute the 40 Cloves of Roasted Garlic with green bell peppers and to have the pie to be cut into squares as well. Jesus was very pleasant to work with over the phone. He not only confirmed the order with my specific requests, he also called me on the phone to confirm time of pick-up to ensure that our order was fresh and hot when we arrived. I was very pleased with his customer service...until I showed up at the shoppe. Located at an unnamed shopping centre, we were able to quickly find nearby parking in the tight-spaced lot. The California chain store looked very similar to its sister stores in downtown Palo Alto and Burlingame in surf-themed ornamentation, red booth seating and a low-key counter-serve setting. The venue appeared to be clean and tidy. I was in a hurry, so was looking forward to being in and out in a jiffy. When my order was brought to me, I was immediately dismayed to find that the pizza was cut in the standard eight pieces instead of squares for party serving. Fail! I didn't have time to wait for a corrected one to be made, so had the kitchen cut the slices into smaller servings. At least they replaced all of the garlic cloves with green bell slices for free, but really? Shouldn't a trade like that be free anyways? When we arrived at the potluck, I was disappointed further to see that the pizza was SEVERELY floppy. I was embarrassed to bring such an unsatisfying contribution to a party. Came here with my friend after an event on Saturday. I've had Pizza My Heart before, but I wanted to see how the quality was at different locations. To start, the staff were friendly, and patient while we were figuring out what to order. The employee that rung us up at the register even gave a recommendation for cheesy stix. I was originally just planning on ordering bread stix, but he convinced me that these were better, and to get them with ranch, so I did. After ordering, my friend and I got our drinks, and while we were getting our drinks the lady said our pizza slices were ready. My friend got them while I got our drinks, and we took a seat at a comfy booth. There were other tables available, but we found the booth to be more preferable since we had quite a long day. My friend and I both got 2 slices of pizza, but the cheesy stix were still not ready. HOWEVER, I was giving them the benefit of the doubt saying that it meant they were being made fresh. So we ate one slice each of our pizzas. They were cheesy, and baked to have a satisfyingly crispy crust. There weren't too many toppings to the point where all I tasted were toppings; I could still taste the cheese and sauce. After maybe around 5 minutes or more, the cheesy stix were delivered to our table. There were dollops of fresh garlic, and a nice layer of cheese. The outside had a nice crunch to it, but the inside was so soft and pillowy! That's enough to tell me it was fresh out of the oven. My friend and I devoured the cheesy stix, and I think I'd order them again. If I did have one suggestion, it might be to have roasted garlic instead of fresh garlic on top, but that's just my preference. Overall I really enjoyed my experience at this location. I did end up having to ask for ranch since it seemed they forgot to bring it with the cheesy stix, but given that a couple families and what looked like a junior soccer team had just come in, I believe they were just pretty busy so I don't blame them. We tried the Supreme and a mushroom sausage slice, and both were excellent with a great balance of toppings and sauce. Don't sleep on the buffalo wings either. They're seasoned perfectly and grilled just right, with crunchy skin and moist, juicy meat inside. When I got in, I'm quite surprised that most pictures are covered with Wanted signs. It's been a while since I have pizza from this establishment but is that a new thing? Also, the place is quite small compared to ones I've been to except the one from Valley Fair Westfield Mall. Pizza is good though. Pricing is fair for a single slice since the pizza bread is a thin crust. Really love the Manresa pizza since it's like Margarita pizza with cheese fillings. This is the Pizza My Heart location that I always go to and I only go here because the staff especially Jonathan is so incredibly amazing and so personal. He not only sports the Pizza my heart gear (which I would pay top dollars for the really cool blue hoodie of yours) but also, his upbeat personality! Came here after eating ramen and was craving a slice of pizza. I was welcome by the staff and was informed that the Big Sur pizza was their popular pizza and it was fresh out of the oven. It wasn't busy at all so they were able to serve it quickly. I know there are other locations but this one wasn't busy and their indoor had a lot If seating. I got the one slice and it was a huge piece. It was about $6.27 for the slice but I was so tasty! And it was warm and the crust was perfect and crunchy. I enjoyed eating this pizza. Pizza my heart has a piece of my heart in the sense that it is average like average joe. You can never get bad pizza and this is what it is, not bad pizza. Pizza here is more like a New York style pizza. I got a slice of cheese pizza because that's how I usually grade pizzas. It was warmed up and after it was nice and crispy. The sauce was on the sweeter side and I could use a little bit more of it. The cheese had some pull and it was nice. The staff was awesome and very nice. I think since it was near closing, they gave me a slice on the house. I would recommend a spot if there was nowhere to go and if you really needed a slice. read more

The woman putting together the order was giving a cold slice of cheese vs the hot slice that just came out of the oven with my other 2 slices. The pepperoni pizza was under cooked with a crust of approximately 3 inches. The staff was not the people we normally see working. All the clerk would say is no reason to get mad for a cold piece of old piece she was willing to serve until called on it and that they were busy. I don't know whether to complain or rave about this place.... When I was vegetarian, I would love grabbing a slice from PMH whenever I was near one. It has been quite some time since I've set foot in one since I went vegan. During a trip to Santa Cruz, I noticed the one over there carried vegan pizzas. As in, it still had cheese and it even had mock meat toppings like pepperoni and sausage! Since that discovery, we decided to check if there was a closer one to Fremont we could visit regularly and it looks like many of the PMH have rolled out a pretty impressive line of vegan pizzas that use Miyoko's cheese and Field Roast products. I didn't think I could love this place any more but they have seriously outdone themselves. For the meat eaters, omnivores and plant eaters, this place has something for you. Everything is fresh and made with care; and the service is always wonderful. I would like to point out that vegans and vegan-curious (who are ok with mock meat stuff) absolutely need to try the Vegan Sur. It's the vegan version of the Big Sur pizza which my folks totally love. I hope more people will give vegan a shot tho and try this amazing plant-based alternative. It's not the healthiest option (but who cares, we're eating pizza!!) and it's sure to make a difference in the long run in reducing our carbon foot print and that's something to feel good about! read more

We came back to Pizza My Heart just a few days later because the slice we had was just so good! Unfortunately, we got the medium sized pizza (enough for 2 meals for 2 people) and it didn't taste as good as the single slice we had just a few days prior. The flavor was still good, but the pizza was undercooked and soft, unlike our first experience which had a crispier and thinner crust. The most valuable thing for a restaurant in my opinion is consistency so customers know what to expect. Seems like depending on the day, the pizza can be a hit or miss. read more

I'm always on a quest for a fast, delicious lunch meal so I came by after the lunch rush for a pizza and salad combo. I walked in and was greeted right away. There was no line so I was able to order right away. I tend to look at all the slices to see how fresh they look and they all look good. While I waited for my pizza I used the restroom and it was clean and delicious well maintained. The sitting area seems small to me so I wouldn't come in a group bigger than 4 as it's hard to accommodate larger groups. My pizza slices were hot and delicious. My salad was fresh and the veggies weren't wilted or had freezer burn. A PLUS! They've got a variety of Pizza slices and salads so there's plenty of choices for everyone. They've also got the cool Coca Cola soda machine. The parking lot is very busy during the lunch rush so it's hard to find it parking. The various tvs mounted throughout the pizzeria are a nice touch. There was sports, surfing, and other distractions to watch as I ate my food. I also enjoyed the 80's and 90's music being played on the radio. The pizza itself was a little too dry and bland.
