I will never bring back my car to this bodyshop ever again. before and After my vehicle repairs were done I got said what a horrible customer service they gave me. I request to speak to a manager and said he couldn't help me and then I request to speak to the gm and he never call me back ,and everytime I call the office I was told he was supposedly very busy at the other shops so I decided to go in person and there he was . That really got me mad and upset. It was like if he was hidden from the customer. The job was not done rite and also damage my vehicle. Very unhappy with there service. I dont know how the hell the have 4 1/2 stars maybe is thanks to all the geico insurance jobs. But privately they suck. I got a quote on Monday. On Wednesday, I requested my quote and pictures of the car be emailed to me (for insurance) but they never sent it. I followed up on Thursday and Saturday, but never heard back from them. The employees are not willing to help at all. When talking to them on the phone, they seem like they want to hang up ASAP. I actually went in here for a paint job for the roof of my car. I brought it in Monday morning, and got it back the next day in the afternoon! Too many great small businesses in MV ... here is another one. I got directed to this place by Geico to fix a rear panel on the the driver side. They did a wonderful job like no one had ever hit me. THE BEST PART and the reason that I give this shop a 5 STAR is because they not only wash the car, they WAX IT and CLEAN THE INTERIOR OF MY CAR ... smells great! Even the stealership won't do that!!! It was a geico claim! a lot of times when you get a car that's repaired by a car company that places a lot of commercials, you wonder, "Do they pay the claims they're liable for or do they just run ads?" Well, I was hoping to not get screwed.* You see, Boomer is a mint condition Mercedes born in 1999. I bought him new off the assembly line in 1998. He is in perfect condition. Err was. Then, some kid in a parking lot at arrillaga hit Boomer right in the face. He left a claim number (leave it to a stanford student driving a truck to not leave a full name or a phone number. Just a claim number). I bring it into Mountain View Body shop and they did a great job! I am happy Boomer the S-class has a new face. The repair work hides the fact Boomer was ever in an accident *Buster is a BMW that State Farm insurance still hasn't paid yet. 5 Star for Mountain View Body Shop / 1 Star for Geico Service On my Birthday my Car was hit. (Photos in photo stream) My insurance company "Geico" said that Mountain View Body shop was the only place near me that had an appointment available. I live all the way in Oakland so I was a little wary about bringing my car all the way there. Dropping my car off and getting an estimate was Fairly easy. The Geico rep was fairly efficient in the beginning. I was quoted a completion date of 6 days, and opted into the Geico Text notifications (Twice a week). I didn't get the first one for 3 days. My completion date changed to that friday. On friday my Geico rep didn't even call me with any type of update! After i got off work, I called and Raul from the body shop informed me that there was a part that was sent in defective and said they were ordering another one. I was told it should be in on Monday and once they received it my car would be finished. Monday came, i finally got a call from my Geico Rep who is onsite. She apologized for the lack of communication and insured me that it would be finished Monday. Monday came and went. No call from her! All in all, the Geico rep for that location needs an assistant and the Body Shop does Excellent work. Raul was very helpful in getting me a ride from my Car rental Company back to the location! I had a front-end collision in my Mazda2 with an SUV and had a semi drivable crunched car when I took into the body shop. Long story short, when I picked up my car it looked better than the day I drove it off the dealerships lot! As soon as I walked in, Raul took a look at my car and gave me an estimate. After informing him that I sadly only had liability and this would be coming out of my pocket, he immediately was down to earth about understanding my situation. They worked their hardest to get me good deals on the parts and even helped out on the labor piece of the bill. Along with helping me get a great deal, they kept me regularly updated with the status of the repairs. They were extremely professional and easy to work with and guaranteed the work they did on my car. Overall it was a great, no fuss, friendly experience with outstanding results at an extremely competitive and reasonable price. I have used their service twice now, and I liked it. They care about the quality of service and it shows. They have replaced both our front & back fenders and we are happy with their work. We didn't have to go back with any complaints. They were really responsive during the service. Most importantly, they kept their promise around the time estimate. First experience (good): It was a smooth experience from start to finish. My damage was covered under a Geico claim. I went in one day to drop the minivan. They kept me updated on how long it will take. When done, I went and picked it up on paying the deductible. They took care of everything with the insurance. And the minivan looks good and has been driving well. So quite smooth and streamlined. Next experience (bad): The service seems to have gone down sharply. I had another incident, covered under a Geico claim too, to be fixed here. They looked at the damage, submitted paperwork to Geico, received the estimate, but then dropped the ball completely. They said that they will setup an appointment after the parts come in. Its been weeks and I can't get them to respond to me to schedule an appointment. For this issue, I have contact them over 10 times (emails, phone calls, in-person visit). No response or non-response (person who answers the phone says that someone will call me back). Its been over a month since I first contacted this shop. After wasting so much time, I will need to find another shop to handle this. Not that it matters, but I had asked them to replace a light in addition to the insurance work. Giving an extra star since the earlier experience was good. read more

Fabulous job! Needed a huge paint job on my honda accord 2000 as the paint seemed to be peeling off and deteriorating of age and weathering. Took the car in to see what these guys could do and I was astonished at the results! This is a long overdue review. I had 2 separate small accidents last year and I brought my Tesla in to Mountain View Body Shop for an estimate since they can bill my insurance directly. Andrew check out the damage and did the estimate, and told me that they have to order parts from Tesla, which could take up to a month. We agreed on a date about a month later to bring my car in for service, and they pretty much stuck to the date. It was initially supposed to be done in less than 2 weeks, but 2 weeks has past, and still no message, so I called them. Apparently, Andrew was out on vacation, and they were waiting for a small cosmetic part for the trunk from Tesla. When Andrew came back, he called me and told me that I could come and pick up the car, and when the part comes, he will call me to come and have the part installed. So, that's what I did, and it took only 15 minutes to get the part installed after I brought it in the second time. I wish they would call me sooner to let me know that, but I guess it was because Andrew was on vacation and no one was in charge. Overall, I was pretty happy with the repair service. They even washed the car to make it look shiny, so I can tell that the scratches and dents are gone. I would recommend taking your car to Andrew for the repair. He seems to take good care of his customers. read more

I will give them a zero star if i could. They are the least responsible company i have seen. My insurance company Geico wanted me to first go to them for getting pictures taken for the damage to my car before i can take to the body shop of my choice. These guys took the pictures and then never sent to Geico and i was just waiting for the update. After few days i called Geico to check what is going on and learnt that these guys have never sent the pictures to them. I hope they send the pictures soon now. This has unnecessarily delayed me from getting my car fixed. Geico should throw them out of their list of authorized body shops. read more

I have really mixed emotions about this business. I brought my car to them to fix a dent in my roof caused by a fallen tree branch. The work on the roof came out fantastic....however when I got the car back home I noticed there was an awful squeak coming from dashboard and a big hole cut into my carpet on the drives side which left a cluster of wires exposed. I called and spoke to Robert (I believe he's the owner) about the issue, he was helpful and told me to bring it back in the next day. The next day when I brought my car in Omar (the shop manager) looked at the carpet and told me it wasn't their fault, it was normal wear and tear from my foot rubbing on it...... for the record my car is less than 2 years old and I keep it in perfect condition, weekly car washes and vacuuming, and at 6'4" my leg physically couldn't be in a position to cause that damage. After a very heated conversation Omar and him pretty much calling me a liar, they finally caved and agreed fix the issue. They fixed the carpet but forgot to put back the plastic caps that cover the seat railing, and they didn't fix the squeak from the dashboard..... Long story short, Omar was very difficult to work with and made the experience way worse than it needed to be. They do solid body work but the customer experience was awful. If you use their services make sure you take tons of detailed photos prior to handing over your vehicle and check all area of your vehicle prior to paying them. read more

I'm also in a client-facing service profession, and I wish I could be as friendly and chipper at 8 in the morning as they were. Anyway, we got the damage assessed and picked up my rental in about half an hour. A few days later, I was back to pick up my car, shiny and freshly washed, and realized that they had even vacuumed and wiped down the interior of my car too. Talk about a pleasant surprise! This shop will screw over customers to keep Geico Insurance happy. After providing me a repair estimate this shop scheduled my repair appointment several weeks out. I wanted an earlier repair, but I figured with good reviews it was probably worth the wait. After waiting weeks for my appointment date to come, Mountain View Auto Body cancelled my appointment. They said they are so busy with appointments from a single insurance company (not mine) that they were cancelling my appointment. Make no doubt that this shop is more concerned about keeping insurance companies happy than taking care of their customers. read more
